The pool wasn't open no continental breakfast all this was stated it would be there room was dirty carpet with smelly and dirty that's it

Best location. Beautiful surroundings. Grounds are well maintained. Very clean. Appreciated the fridge, microwave and air conditioning.

The mattress was a little too firm for my liking as were the pillows.

The motel staff were accommodating, friendly, kind. I give them full marks as excellent hosts for tired travelers. The convenience store right there was so good. The sheets and towels were clean, the room mostly clean. The bathroom was clean and mostly updated. Warm room- strong heating unit, updated paint and walls - definitely amateur reno but made for a slightly more cheery space. Very small fridge and microwave but they did their job. Close to amenities like grocery, small malls, very close to beach and lake Nipissing.

The screen door has been wrenched open and wouldn't shut, the screen torn, and the main door appeared to have been kicked in, in the past - real damage around the door handle. There was a massive gap letting in a heck of a draft. No hot water, spotty internet, very "busy" in the wee hours, extremely tiny room. The bed had a serious slope in a very old mattress. We didn't want to leave the room for long because we worried about the doors and leaving our luggage and possessions. Bathroom light would flicker and go off completely. The room smelled musty on entry. Very thin walls, could hear even quiet conversation in other rooms and outside. Could hear people outside like I was sleeping in a tent, maybe that gap in the door but also just noise, even quiet talk, travels through the walls and windows. The room was tiny, no closet, no place to hang a coat which is a thing in a North Bay winter. No separation from the door to the bed to avoid snowy wet boots. Neither here nor there for like or dislike, but others might want to be aware: many long term guests.
