Where to start? I arrived late at night and the number for the houses in that area aren't lite up, needed a flashlight to verify the house number. The accomodations are not at all as described in the booking ad. The shared living room has been converted into the owners private bedroom/office. The shared kitchen is full of his personal stuff and cleaning supplies, that appear to be not utilized. He met me upon arrival and showed to the room. The room is very small, with a dilapidated hand me down bed and mattress (no box spring) that squeaked every time I rolled over. He informed me the toilet wasn't working properly and to hold the handle down to flush. I never expected to see someone else's feces in the toilet the 1st time I used it. The while room was filthy, but especially the vanity, mirror and shower, with personal items and cleaning supplies strewn about. The level of maintenance is sub standard. Richard has misrepresented the fact that the hot tub is on site and the photos he shows online are a gross exaggeration of the actual condition of the establishment. I didn't actually read the reviews prior to arrival, I choose to trust the Booking com overall rating, which in this case was a very bad mistake. I see tgat over the last year almost every review has been negative. DONT STAY HERE,

Fresh white cotton bedding, crisp and clean. Clean bathroom and shower. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. Nice ceramic tile floor. Close to airport. Taxi is a mere $23.00 from this location. Backyard was nice. Keycode back entry.

Room is small and although the ad states shared kitchen, etc, one gets the feeling that the owner occupies this space soley; therefore, we did not feel comfortable occupying that space. The accommodations for overnights are tiny bedrooms in the main house. Outdated variety of window coverings over a Bay Window. Owner wanted the windows closed even though it was hot. There is no AC. Portions of walls, light switches and door casings were dirty. Entry to the room is a narrow, dimly lit, hallway. The accommodation was not worth the price. We would not recommend this place at this price.

The owner gave me an orientation and directions on the nearest amenities, e.g. grocery store, etc. He also gave me directions on places I needed to go and instructions on taking the public transit. He has a beautiful garden, with shade and it was good to be able to sit there since I came a bit early. And the cup of tea, after the flight, was really appreciated!
