The staff was amazing, what they did not have in terms of capacity, they more than made up for by being intuitive to our families needs, going above and beyond to ensure they did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The giant two bedroom suite was perfect for our family so the kids could have their own beds. And made the vacation go very smoothly. The suites are fully furnished with dishes, utensils, and cookware, a dishwasher, full-size fridge, and stove. In the living room there was a desk and a pull out couch and to top it all off TVs in every room. Not to mention each bedroom had its own bathroom! There's a basketball court, and you can get a basketball from the front desk! There's also full-size pool (which was freezing) that uses salt to purify instead of chlorine. There's also an amazing jacuzzi. Towels for the pool and jacuzzi are provided by the hotel pool side. They have propane powered barbecue grills and a fire pit. The complementary breakfast featured fresh made pancakes with your choice of several toppings to include nuts, fruit, compote, marshmallows, dried cranberries, and coconut flakes, a breakfast burrito bar that included potatoes, rotating meats, eggs, as well as cheese, sour cream, salsa, lettuce and tomato for toppings. They also had the customary pastries and cereal of course. It really felt like a home away from home.

Unfortunately the rooms are a little older, and with any property that is seeing it's age there were some notable repairs that had occurred in the bathroom. The carpet could use a decent shampooing as well. The other thing I noted, is that the location can lend itself to riff raff, which can make evening swims a bit precarious.

The room was spacious

We had to pay a fee for checking in early. Room service wasn’t great. We had to return our used towels to the front desk to have them replaced. And they didn’t have room service daily. Also they were taking money out of my account without authorisation. When we arrived, I asked the front desk reception on how much they’re charging and she advised she couldn’t give me the total and check whatever total is on booking.com. They went ahead and competed the transaction. Thinking I’ve paid for the stay, a few days prior to checking out, they called and advised they are trying to charge my card. I asked what for, and they advised I haven’t made payment. Long story short, went to the front to sort it out which they were confused also. They ended up taking a few hundred out that was outstanding(apparently). That whole scenario was frustrating. I requested for a late checkout the night prior which the reception said she’ll make note. The morning of the checkout, the manager came to the door and asked what time we are checking out which I advised late checkout(2hrs after checkout time). In the room behind the door there is a late checkout notice which advises the fees associated. 1 hour($25) anytime after that it’s $75. But the manager said it’s $100 which I questioned because on the door it’s says $75. He wasn’t having it and said it’s $100. Again they took out money from my card without my authorisation. I didn’t mind having to pay $100 but if that’s the case they need to update their notices in the rooms so there is no confusion. Overall my stay was pleasant and the room was spacious and comfortable. Would’ve been better if I didn’t have to deal with the above.

Room was dirty. Underwear found behind one night stand. Socks found behind another night stand. Dirt behind the night stands indcate that the are had not been cleaned in some time.

Some rooms smell of dog or cat urine. No carpet in rooms may help that problem

The size of the room it was the perfect amount of space for two people

The first night I was there there was a VERY loud party going on in the room upstairs I did not get ANY sleep and when I called the front desk the woman who answered Jeanette seemed very agitated & not very helpful. On my THIRD call at 1am she finally said she will send someone over. On checkout day I needed to check out later so I called the front desk & again spoke with Jeanette. She told me if I wanted to check out at noon it will be $100 I said I was told it would be $25 she then with an attitude said “who told you that! It’s $100! (even though it is clearly displayed on the room door that it is $25) I then told her the gentleman who checked me in told me to which she replied “well it’s $100 I don’t know why he told you that but ok I’ll put it in this time. As if she was doing me a favor. This woman was very rude & I am highly disappointed

The best king size bed 24 in mattress so comfortable slept like i havent slept in a long time.

Location is good. Breakfast was ok. The area was clean and well maintained.

The sheets were dirty . One of them seemed to have blood stains. The pull up bed had dirt and was not cleaned. Dishes had stains.

it took me to change 3 rooms because the door wouldn’t lock. it was midnight and I didn’t feel safe there because the room wouldn’t lock. will not be going back.

I tried to cancel this booking several times via booking.com, they never got back to me. Neither the hotel staff. This is my worst booking experience and I will try not to use booking.com in the future to any of the places I travel to.

it was quiet at night

TV service was terrible and they made me call the provider myself to try and get it reset and fixed. had to hit each button on the remote 5X each time and hold in one position to get it to work. NO ONE ever told me there was breakfast provided and I found out when I was checking out. It was functional and okay but not really a nice place. The shampoo and conditioner did not work well and I travelled without checking a bag so that sucked too. bare bones facility. Door padlock did not even turn or work at all.

Ground floor was nice,with ample parking.The breakfast was very good.

So the front desk trying to charge my card $1,000 over and for me to continue to try to call to talk to management but no one will return a call but they still try to charge my card extra things are really mixed up and backwards over here highly recommend not to stay here have to change my card numbers in order for them not to charge it because they will not reach out to contact you or return a phone call

Us and one other guest have reservations. Sitting here at midnight and hotel is overbooked. There is nothing they can do they say. GM of Sonesta Tempe, Cynthia Jones spoke to us on the phone, told us there is nothing she can do and hung up on me. Horrible customer service.
