The breakfast was excellent. There was a great choice of cereal, fruit and cooked meals. Very pleasant staff who were welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was very clean with bright airy rooms. Brilliant!

The location was perfect for us. The bed was comfortable, everything was very clean. Nice Victorian building. The hosts were very helpful with bags, restaurant recommendations and directions. The breakfast was top notch, very good. The food was quality ingredients and well prepared.
Not a dislike, just advice. If you have trouble with stairs call and ask for a lower floor.

Our hosts we're very friendly and kind.... really lovely people. The hotel was great, in a good location and everything was well organised. The breakfast was superb!! Fantastic choice and beautifully cooked.

Very lovely place to stay under new owners and had issues as I paid old owners and they are chaceing my payment very friendly lady just in the morning had a question about my dress sense going out for a smoke in the morning before I got dressed unfortunately on this occasion I forgot my slippers and that and personal issues I had going on wanted to get away from it all so really didn't help me at the time lovely breakfast just with everything in the morning plus what I was going through I cheaked out after one night as felt very uncomfortable and felt bit unwanted later on that day I did get a txt message and had a conversation with owners and we're very apologetic with situation I was in but by then already changed my travel arrangements hope they have a great future and get money from old owners felt a bit bad for them in a way but if not for what happened it would of been a fantastic time away

Excellent. Wonderful location, wonderful hosts. A perfect stay. I think this was a lovely part of Scarborough and I walked to town in 15 mins. The breakfasts were delicious and superb with huge variety. Bed was lovely and comfortable. The hosts were caring.

The breakfast was exceptionally good. British food at its best. Moreover, there was no plastic-wrapped produce on offer. There were no mountains of rubbish like in other hotels. Very sustainable and therefore very commendable.
The location is ideal if you want to experience the place in its beauty. You can be at the sea in a few minutes. The street is quiet, yet you can find everything important nearby.

The Cavendish was perfect for me, being close to the cliff lift for easy access to the Scarborough Spa. It was very clean with good decor, great food with a good selection for breakfast and Jo was a very friendly and hospitable host.

Hosts were incredibly nice, helped us with car park when arrived, gave us tips on bus routes to see Scarborough. Explained breakfast procedure. Breakfast was actually tasty, good portion and variety of choices. Highly recommended!

The guest house is not far from the the town but the area is very hilly and until we worked it out it was hard work getting back up no taxis in town that we saw and 2 of cable cars from beach front up the hill out of order. Tip - You need to use cable car at side of big hotel to get up the hill and then cross bridge to get back to property.
There were plenty of tea and coffee items and milk is in a fridge down the hall. Also lots of toiletries. Owners polite and helpful with information. Food at breakfast very good but did not like preorder system.
I did not like at all that we had to pre order breakfast before 6pm the previous night. I eat differently at home and have no idea what I want to eat until I am in the dining room. This should be on the website I would not have booked there if I had known. Also breakfast is served between 8.15 and 9am. This clearly suits the owners but does not take into account the needs of the guest or the fact most guests are on holiday.
Only other problem curtains need lining so light does not come into room so early in the morning.

Excellent stay. The room and bed were clean and comfy. The bathroom was spotless.
The breakfast menu had a good selection of options. Especially considering the gluten free and dairy free options available.
5 minute walk from the South bay and the spa. 15 minute walk from the train station.
Jo and Robert were lovely. We will be returning soon.
