The cruise is beautiful and the room assigned was huge and comfortable. The crew members are good hard workers and always they were aware of our need!
Everything was good!

It was a really good experience. The ship is very nice and clean, services are very good. The staff is very kind. The food is fantastic. Very recommendable.
Nothing.

We had an amazing time and the crew were so friendly. You get what you pay for with the rooms, very pretty and ornate with a gorgeous bathtub overlooking the bays. The food is sensational.
Very touristy and some other customers are rude but that’s hard to avoid. I would recommend doing the two nights as it’s better value and you actually get to go to nice swimming spots and out for the day. I don’t think the one night would be worth the money. Unfortunately Ha Long Bay is very dirty and there is lots of rubbish in the water but it’s still beautiful and worth a visit

The views were amazing, and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfy.
It all felt very timed and planned. No room for flexibility. They didn’t give any safety instructions while on the boat. The food was pretty average for Vietnam, and the alcohol was way way overpriced. 10x the norm.

Wonderful 3 day 2 night cruise in Halong Bay - which really is breathtaking. We weren't on the Rosa, we were on M'Cruise. Our cabin was larger than expected, with the bed facing the sea, and a great little balcony to watch the world go by. The boat itself was spacious, lots of seats and daybeds in the public areas. The food was plentiful and much tastier than I was expecting - a good selection of Vietnamese dishes with some Western food thrown in. Very friendly and helpful staff, and well organised excursions. Especially loved cycling on the island and kayaking. If you have the time I would recommend booking 2 nights on these cruises - you get less than 24 hours on the boat if you do a 2 day 1 night cruise. as a lot of time is taken up with the transfer.
We booked the Rosa, but ended up on a different boat, without being told we were being switched. From reading reviews, I think it's quite common especially as we were off season, but it would have been nice to have been informed in advance.

Rooms were nice and food was mostly ok.
The whole trip was very rushed. We were hurried away from the kayaking before the time slot ended. Ha Long bay was very polluted and absolutely packed with tourist boats. We stopped for the night where we had full view of the city which was disappointing as it didn’t really feel like we were out in Ha Long Bay. Altogether the trip was rushed and disappointing.

Rooms were amazing
Loud music in the afternoon before happy hour a small annoyance but nothing big
7.0
The room was very nice and had good air conditioning. The manager, Nam, was very friendly and made time to personally talk to everyone on the boat. All the other staff on board were friendly and polite too. The bus used to pick us up from Hanoi was very nice. The food onboard was also nice but nothing amazing.
The booking and port staff were unorganised and not overly friendly. They changed our boat to M'Gloria Cruise when we arrived at the port. The ratings for the new boat on Booking.com were the same as our original boat, so we weren't worried. There weren't many activities on the boat. The activities provided were very touristy and the same as all the other cheaper boats. They were fine, but I would have been nice to visit some less touristy areas of Ha Long Bay too. The evening entertainment offered was squid fishing, despite telling us no one had caught a squid on the boat in the last two months. There weren't any other evening/night activities apart from trying to sell us drinks at cocktail hour. Ensure you bring your own drinks (including water), as all drinks on board are expensive (you have to pay a silly expensive price to get water to drink with your meals). Also, the dining room can be unbearably hot to during the day unless you're lucky enough to sit next to a fan. If visiting during the warmer months bringing a small portable fan could be a good idea.

The boat is beautiful with everything you needed on board. The gentleman leading the cruise was lovely.
- The hot jacuzzi seems like a weird call in 38 degree's
- You could only swim with life jackets within very set times
- The transfer they organised on the way back was terrible. They did not tell us that we would need to travel an additional hour to collect other folks and would be in a very small car with 8 people inside it
- There were not enough kayaks for everyone to use
- Poor communication of facilities like room service and events
- We arrived at breakfast when called and most items were already gone. When we discussed this with the management they said it was due to the staff being too busy, but there were 5 standing around not doing anything and the signs for the food that was already gone had been put aside. They simply undercatered.
- The only water available beyond 2 small bottles, was bottled water which had to be purchased at an exorbidant cost. The cost of all drinks was incredibly expensive.
- The food at the first lunch was amazing, everything else was not.
- Our cruise was cut short due to an impending storm, which turned out to be a blessing, however we were only refunded 50% of the total, when we really missed out on 2 days of activities and meals, and also the booking fee which was paid. When myself and other guests questioned this we were reprimanded and yelled at.
This cruise was the worst part of a lovely holiday and much can be done to improve the travellers experience.

Halong bay is beautiful, and the sun deck was a nice place to enjoy the views. The staff were very nice, particularly Namh who managed the tour for us. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the bay.
Our bathroom smelled really really bad of drain smell, so much that it took over the whole room and was almost unbearable. Other places on the boat also smelled really bad - like the bar area (again I think it was a drain issue). There were also some dirty towels and sheets in our room.
We really didn’t enjoy the food either, so ate very little.

The cruise experience was fantastic. Its a 22 room boat with beautiful interiors and lovely deck for outdoor views. The food is good and the staff are very professional and well trained. We had selected the suite with a balcony which was exceptional. Wood interiors, huge windows for a full view of the bay from the bed and the bathroom. Very well maintained bathroom with lots of space for shower. Perfect temperature and pressure of water. Bath tub was amazing with a built in jaquize..
The activities on the cruise are quite basic. They offer 2 outdoor activities,( apart from the cooking class and taicji) kayaking and a visit to the Kingkong cave which was like getting just a view from the local boat, could have been definitely more interesting and detailed. Some cruises offer a stop over at a local island and a short trek to the top of the mountain which we missed on this cruise.

30 min before arriving we were re-booked to another cruise ship. It was a nice and big room and they had good food
Bit noisy, evening entertainment was too loud for such a quiet environment

very nice staff and the rooms were spacious and clean! The views and bays were incredible and we enjoyed the kayaking and swimming
no evening entertainment. The food was only okay. drinks onboard are quite expensive. It was beautiful but not worth the money spent.

Two days before my cruise, Rosa Cruise texted me at 9 pm asking if I would leave a day early. Pick up in the Old Quarter was at 7 am, so this was less than 12 hours notice. For this inconvenience, they were willing to offer a full $4 discount on a $500+ dollar cruise.
The morning of the cruise, I was picked up on a motorbike. The guy did not have helmets, so I refused to get on. I walked behind the motor bike for a few blocks with all of my luggage even though I overpaid for a hotel pick up.
At 11 am, while I was already on the bus and 30 minutes before we were set to arrive at the harbor, Rosa Cruise texted me again that they were changing what boat I was on (Erin’s Cruise). I looked into the new boat, and it was cheaper than my original cruise. I asked if they would refund the difference, and they said no. I reached out to Booking.com, but still haven’t heard back a week later. I told my bus driver I would need to go to a new drop off location, but when I told him the name of the new cruise, he said that was what the company told him originally. That means that Rosa Cruise knew at least before 7 am that they were changing my boat but didn’t let me know until 11 am. They didn’t want to give me a chance to explore other options.
My first night on board, after dinner, the company texted me 20+ times apologizing and called me multiple times. At that point, I just wanted to enjoy my cruise and not be reminded of the mistakes and unprofessionalism.
I was disappointed by this cruise at every single turn. They turned what was supposed to be a fun, relaxing experience into such a headache and I truly can’t believe how much money I paid. Rosa Cruise was rated as a good pick for solo travelers. Erin’s cruise was completely family oriented. There were children screaming in the room next to me and running around the dining room. I really wanted to meet peers as a solo traveler, but I didn’t get that experience as almost all of the other travelers were local Vietnamese...

Staff were so diligent and accommodating. Rooms were well decorated and clean.
Not really a luxury cruise. Hot tub/pool cold and smaller than photographed. Not a fault of the cruise but lots of litter along Ha Long Bay.

Halong Bay is full of trash :(

the boat was beautiful and more so all of the staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and welcoming.
Boo in charge of kitchen / dining was so kind and always made sure everything was good and that I was happy. his service was wonderful.
Willy in charge/ manager of cruise was very informative and helpful.
Tom cruise / Tink - did our day tour one the first full day.
he went above and beyond, taught us all so much, was funny and entertaining, warming and kind. I loved our day trip with Tom- he made it a lot of fun with his bubbly personality. thank you 🙏
thank you all.
I can’t fault the cruise.

The beautiful location. The facilities , the magnificent food and the extremely lovely helpful staff , the itinery .
The boat itself is perfect ! The only thing that is negative about this location is the extreme amount of rubbish in the bay itself .

We booked this one but we're moved to another similar cruise from the same company. The cruise is clean, the food is good, the staff is nice, professional and friendly
What you will read about this and other cruises: Expensive drinks, tight schedule, a bit of a disorganised check in, etc. The bay is very dirty from from all the cruises navigating,, I would consider booking a cruise if I am back and try to find a more sustainable alternative
5.0
The bedroom had plenty of space for our family of three. The shower was hot and the beds were comfortable.
The staff were very kind and attentive.
The location was beautiful, and we really enjoyed kayaking.
Our room was located near the bow of the ship, and when the anchor was raised or lowered, it sounded like it was happening right in our room. It was very loud! The first time it happened, we were startled and unsure what was going on.
The food was not very good. Most of the meat was very tough. We had to pay for all drinks, even nonalcoholic drinks like water.
Though all activities were optional, each activity was announced on an extremely loud loudspeaker in the bedroom. There was no way to turn this off or down. f you opted out of an activity in order to relax or take a nap, the announcements made this impossible.

lovely cruise ship, in great condition

The quality of the ship was good.
Apart from ‘Tom Cruise’ there seemed to be a lack of experience amongst the staff team.

Everything was great but it was Dora cruise not Rosa.
The Cruise Manager Bruce was a great guy. Staff was superb.
Good hospitality.
May be they can add a few more water activities apart from kayaking.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The boat was gorgeous and elegant.
The cocktails could have been a bit stronger!

We actually stayed on the M’Gloria cruise ship and it was very clean and modern. Our room was huge and had amazing views from every window, even the tub! The staff were all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to Tim who was hilarious! The scenery and the views speak for themselves, Halong Bay is absolutely magical!
My partner booked a massage and the room is right by where happy hour is. It wasn’t super peaceful so in future we’d suggest letting guests know the location of the room or not booking massages between 1700 and 1900. The music during dinner and breakfast could have been a little quieter, it was hard to converse at points. We were also confused on arrival at the port and it was Dora, Doris and M’Gloria cruises so it would have been good to know prior what the real boat name was.

Our stay at the Dora cruise was absolutely wonderful! The crew was super friendly and we felt very well taken care of. The rooms are very comfortable and the food was great. They made sure, that every dietary needs were fulfilled and provided the vegans & vegetarians with extra food, since many dishes were with seafood or meat. The program was also very great, we got to try Tai Chi, see the caves on a little fishing boat, do kayaking and make some spring rolls with the chef.
We would absolutely recommend the cruise and want to say big thanks to the lovely crew!

This was more than just a place to sleep. they made sure that this was a memorable and luxurious experience. our server Boo(heúi) was so gracious and attentive to our needs with all the meals etc. we had a great experience overall
If you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese meals, this isn’t the place for that. I really wish they had more Vietnamese cuisine in their menu :( so keep in mind that this is a lot more catered to white/western foreigners.
8.0
Nice cruise, rooms are clean and the bathroom is very nice
the staff provided a vegetarian option which was very good
the staff were very attentive
Bruce, the cruise manager did a great job
Nam, the server was extremely polite and his service was world class. if I were an international 5 star hotel I would hire him.
drinking water was only available in small plastic bottles. considering the price it would be nice to have free drinking water from water dispensers to have less plastic

The boat was great and the staff were very attentive. I would rate the experience a 9.5, however, let down by the transfer arranged by Rosa.
There was no notice of being swapped to Dora.
The bus arranged by rosa for 40 usd per person was shocking. Baggage had to go on people and block the aisle. On the way there bags went flying. This was my worst bus experience in Vietnam, and I was backpacking (using local buses elsewhere).
3.0
3 days before trip we were notified that Rosa was under construction and that we had to switch. before booking I pored over reviews of every cruise and decided Rosa was the best. I had to change and we ended up on Doris instead. beautiful facilities but food and service terrible for the cost
service, staff, food, added cost for even water and coffee at meals. ridiculous given the cost. we have stayed in every variety of accommodation from high to low on our trip in Vietnam and the service staff and quality of food onboard the Doris was the worst and most uncomfortable that we’ve had (and it was 4 times what we paid anywhere else)
9.0
When we arrived we were checked into Dora cruise boat. Comfortable cabin with plenty of space. Communal areas were also very nice with plenty of space for guests.
Staff were exceptional, special mentions to Bruce, Nam, Tin Tin & David!!
Food was tasty, with plenty of alternatives for vegetarians.
Not enough Kayaks for all guests on day 1 but wasn’t a problem for other days where guests were split between trips.

We went on the Dora Cruise, we did the 1 night/2 days and it was an amazing time. If I was to do it again I would definitely try and do the 2nights/3 days. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond, they would always bring me my special vegetarian dishes, was so thoughtful.
There really wasn’t anything to dislike.
