Perfect villa for a large group or family. All the rooms are very generous in size with plenty of bathrooms. The tennis and badminton court are a real bonus even if not in pristine condition, what better way to active during your stay. The pool is excellent. The villa is a little "tired" but does represent fantastic value for money. The location also suited us well, a 15 minute walk into the town is perfect for walking to and more importantly back from your evening meal. Don't forget to walk the other way to the wonderful Restaurant de Milho which is only 5 minutes away. The villa is a few minutes drive from the intermarche supermarket which is great for stocking up for your holiday food and drink! We will definitely be returning!

We spent two weeks here with friends coming from the UK at different times. We had the villa booked well in advance, however when we arrived the cleaner was still cleaning and continued to do so for over three hours, so we couldn't settle in. The cleaners husband which I think was the owners father then asked us for more money than what was agreed - we declined. As we approached the driveway we were horrified to find the condition of the tennis court it looked awful, the badminton court and its rotting net, which we were told was bought 40 years ago. The swimming pool was filthy so we couldn't use it for THREE days!! The water was so cloudy we couldn't see the shallow end tiles, it made us physically sick just looking into it. Also, the balcony and stairs leading to the pool could of done with a jet wash, these areas were awful to see. Additionally the BBQ was filthy and the portable one was rusty, unsafe and should of been disposed of. The two parasols by the pool were also broken, along with a few sun loungers. There was also rubble dumped by the pool house which is in the child's playground. There were two planks of wood left by the pool when we arrived, which I had to beg the father to move as these were dangerous and unsitely. In addition the bath downstairs used by three of our friends was continuously blocked, their toilet flush also didn't flush properly. The Jacuzzi bath also was "out of order" and appears to have been for some time. These are the few things I can remember and I think are totally unacceptable. We had invited a few friends to celebrate my landmark birthday, so it was very embarrassing to see the dismay on their faces when they also arrived. We have been staying in the Algarve for 30 years so we appreciate that some villas will be rustic, but I have to say this villa was way beyond that and extremely disappointing,. This is a holiday we will remember for all the wrong reasons. We tried to contact the owner whilst we were there, but he wasn't interested, and his parents spoke little English, which was a shame as he seemed to leave them to deal with everything, his mother who cleaned did do a great job cleaning, however his father was not approachable. You may see this villa on other website "villas to go" with beautiful photographs, but in reality these are not what the villa looks like, those photos seem to be about 30 years old, when the villa was built. 2 doors down is Villa Isabel/Vizinha same owner.
