Da simpatia da funcionária que foi sempre inexcedível com tudo, sempre preocupada com o nosso bem estar e conforto, o pequeno almoço também é muito agradável.

A propriedade está inserida numa Exploração Agrícola, onde é feita Pecuária de Bovinos, estava muito calor e existe uma aridez enorme e uma falta, diria preocupante, em ter espaços verdes agradáveis e com sombra para os hospedes, a piscina que acaba por ser o ÚNICO espaço comum fora do quarto é pequena e não tem sombras, em cima de tudo isto, no fim de semana que lá estivemos pura e simplesmente era impossível estar fora do quarto devido a uma praga de moscas que nos impediam estar a relaxar na pouca sombra que existente... associo as moscas às bostas de vaca e de boi que existem nos campos....

Everything was quite charming : it's very remote and quiet.

We had some issues getting codes to access the gates in time, due to loss of phone signal in this remote location. Perhaps the owner could have sent them earlier . It was rapidly fixed, anyway.

very unpleasant continuous noise by some machine just beside the swimming pool, all day long (from 7:30 to 20:00). It ruins the wonderful soundscape you would otherwise have in that property. you can hear it in your bedroom too. It just ruins everything...

Fátima was very welcoming, prompt and friendly. It is incredibly quiet and the landscape around it is beautiful. Nice to get a break from city life and see cows and sheep. Nice bikes to ride.

As the property is very isolated and there is no kitchen that we can use, there should be a restaurant / café /bar facilities. We didn’t bring drinking water as there was no warning to do so. Luckily Fatima had some big bottles in the fridge and sold us one. They only give one small water bottle at arrival. Bed and pillows could be more comfortable and expect lots of flies in the external areas. Make sure you get the main gate code before you arrive. We didn’t and had no signal to call so we were stuck for a while outside the property.

I really recommend you to stay at Xistos. It was a great experience, especially meeting Mrs Paula and listen to her stories under the trees in Mediterranean forest, for meeting Felismina "The Fox" and listen the frog concert by night. A great place to relax and disconnect from work.

I liked the isolated location. It was very peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing get away. The staff was super friendly, polite and available. 5 stars for the staff!

If the lodge was full of people the swimming pool was way too small for the capacity. I didn't like the fact that there were no meals (lunch and dinner) and you had to drive 30 kms to the nearest restaurant while the photos of the property advertised excellent gastronomy on site.tt The only option available was 3 or 4 salads at lunch and that's it. If you want to go there and stay there for a couple of days in peace and walk around the property you will be dissapointed by having to drive off for lunch and dinner. For the price of nights I expected more services like that. I also didn't appreciate the fact that being a "green" acommodation, the guided tour of a pedestrian route circuit was done by car. A car per room that implicated 5 or 6 cars polluting the environment for a route that could be done in 5 minutes walking.

The pool has an awesome view over the homestay fields. The Staff is super friendly and helpfull. Every bedroom has its own outside deck, where you can relax on the confortable sun lounger by the pool. The breakfast was also really good. Due to its remote location this is an optimal place for star gazing.

The rooms didn't have wifi. Furthermore, being a remote place (25 min by car to the nearest village), maybe there should be dinner options at the homestay.
