Fantastic location- it really doesn’t get any better! Brilliant views of the Old Harbour, large and comfortable home away from home with the loveliest and exceptionally generous hosts with both their time (providing numerous options for where to go, what to see) and in food supplies, and wine (even gluten free bread & wafers for me)!!! Honestly, we’ve never experienced such warmth and generosity-Alba and William go above and beyond to make their guests 100% satisfied. Truly 10/10!

Absolutely nothing!

There are almost not enough words to describe how wonderful our stay at Casa Alba was. The location and the view was amazing. The home was just beautiful. The thoughtful amenities provided by the owners Alba and William were abundant and we were absolutely wowed with their thoughtfulness and generosity. we found the kitchen stocked with coffee, breakfast rolls, homemade marmalades and honey, crackers, cookies, candy, cold drinks in the fridge that included waters, iced teas, beer and wine. There was no need as a traveler that was not thought of and provided by Alba and William! Alba checked in with us daily via messenger to ensure we were enjoying our stay and we’re not in need of anything else. The rooftop terrace and view was breathtaking! we spent many evenings enjoying delicious food and wine we purchased at one of the many nearby restaurants and shops all within the immediate area. We would not have wanted to stay anywhere other than Casa Alba in Chania!! If you are thinking about visiting the beautiful area of Chania Crete (which you should because it is wonderful!!! better than santorini as far as food, friendliness of the people, cost and ability to get around safely and easily), I highly recommend staying at Casa Alba! I traveled with 3 girlfriends to Greece for 16 days with stops in Athens, Crete (Chania), santorini and Paros. Chania and specifically Casa Alba blew us away!! Thank you so very much Alba and William for making our stay in Chania absolutely AMAZING!! We will never forget your kindness and generosity and will recommend your house to all of our friends and family looking to experience the island of Crete! ❤️❤️

Casa Alba is incredible as are William and his sister and wife who all pitched in to make our stay in Chania AMAZING! The apartment is UNBELIEVABLE with tons of space and the most remarkable views of the port from both the roof top deck (huge) and the balcony off the living room. William met us to show us around and offered endless tips on where to go and what to see. They also helped with transfers to the airport and kept our luggage in their car while we spent the day sightseeing!! The apartment bathrooms are stocked with everything and the fridge included a lovely bottle of wine, some soft drinks, beer, lots of water AND ice cream in the freezer!! I could go on and on...suffice to say, Casa Alba is a FIND!!! The only regret I have is not staying longer (...we tried but they are fully booked) 10 on 10!

Wow, what can I say? The view, the care and consideration of the hosts, the facilities, the kindness shown were all exceptional. Alba and Georgia arranged our airport transfer, met us from the taxi, and had arranged local wine, home grown fruit, home produced honey and jams and a freshly made cake for our arrival. After mentioning how good the home grown and pressed olive oil was, I even recieved some small bottles as leaving gifts from Georgia - this is an example of the thoughtfulness. I travel regularly with work and have stayed in thousands of hotels and I can honestly say that I have NEVER had hospitality as good as this. Seriously, this is 11/10! I can only thank Alba and Georgia for making us feel so welcome with their proud Cretan hospitality. The apartment is wonderful and there are so many places to eat and drink just on the doorstep which are good value. The sun on the roof terrace or balcony in the morning warms the soul with the perfect view of the harbour, lighthouse and the sea. The atmosphere is both vibrant yet peaceful, perfect for an escape. We are a family of five and had plenty of space and we enjoyed the walks to the beaches in the day and relaxing walks around the harbour and old town. In summary... PERFECT!

Nothing at all to dislike!

An excellent stay; deserving of a 10/10 rating. It is the only private residence on the Venitian Harbor, and it is well done. Alba and her son William have a well designed remodel of a 300+ year old residence. It came very well stocked. Location is perfect - right on the harbor next to the Maritime Museum, very near restaurants and not far from the beach. Excellent hosts - proactive (reached out to confirm all was going well) and responsive (helped us arrange a rental car).

Be prepared for a few stairs, up to the apartment and to the loft 2 bedrooms, and the roof terrace (which has fantastic views). Not an issue for us, but do be aware if mobility limited.
