Very big but lots of hidden places - pretty cool lay out
Nothing

The premises are beautiful, hidden in the jungle, arranged in a creative way with small houses, pools and a beautiful restaurant and a juice bar.
I booked an individual room which was very pricey for what it was. Definitely could use some modernization - had a bit of a hospital feel. The main yoga shalla as well… what I was really disappointed was the vinyasa yoga which was taught by a lady who seemed bored and uninterested. Zero vibe just endless sun salutations. Yoga was the main reason why I booked this place so I was really bummed by this. I would say a better value for the money would be to share a room.

Love staying at Holistika, the rooms are clean, tidy and simple. Love the space and the activities. The restaurant on site is so good. Loved the art walk also!
Their new online Check in process was a little tedious and probably unnecessary. The page wouldnt load and the wifi was slow. We were tired and this didnt make the experience that great for us

truly holistic.. nourishing physical and emotional aspects of the body . the property is filled with greenery that makes it cooler and filled with energy . the restaurant is amazing and special shout-out to staff at restaurant. Susan was amazing kind host who managed to serve busy morning and took time to have a meaningful convo with us. wifi is excellent and allowed us to work uninterrupted

The restaurant has good breakfasts and cats walk around the territory
Doors are knocking from the wind, keep in mind that you will sleep no more than two hours, this hotel is not a place to relax. They take a cash deposit of 6000 pesos per room without warning, but their room is in such bad condition that they have to give 6000 pesos as a guarantee to people that everything will be fine

Amazing Hotel and wellness facility. Lived the yoga classes and workshops.
Several of the staff were rude at the lobby, reception, and restaurant. Maybe they thought we were not guests. We expected better service .

Love this place! Good vibes all around, I love staying here. Best yoga classes.
Everything was good.

You will find everything you need to disconnect and relax in this place. Very helpful staff , always available and fast responding whatever you need. Even though we had some extra charge by mistake , they answered immediately and on the next day it was solved.
The mosquitoes. We wish the property would provide some spray protection or the liquids/pads used in the sockets , so you have at least your room protected. As well there is some toxic plants/trees around the accommodations which give you a reaction very fast, in case you touch them or walk around and there is leaves on the floor that can easily get in contact with your feet.

The grounds, the dorm, the yoga shala and art walk, pools and restaurant were all beautiful. Such an idyllic jungle location. I was quiet, comfortable and peaceful. You can’t help but walk around in awe. The room was clean and the bed was comfy and the staff for so friendly and helpful. I had THE BEST deep tissue massage of my life there. Very good kundalini yoga class on site and the temazcal ceremony was like rebirthing. This isn’t just a bed for a night, be prepared for an experience.
Not that close walking to Tulum centre but east by bike. Close to some bars and ready air ants in the Veleta area but don’t expect that to be buzzing with life. Could have done with a few more cups, plates and cutlery in the communal kitchen.

Whimsical, dreamy, eclectic, quiet. Cool restaurant- delicious, imaginative vegetarian food.
No hair-dryers in the rooms.

loved the grounds, absolutely beautiful. loved the classes also. great variety of yoga classes
wish it was easier to book massages, yoga etc before we got there so we could have planned our trip out better. it was extremely difficult to find the place. the address provided takes you to a dead end back alley way with nothing there. we had to look up a different hotel in the surrounding area to get us to this one. couldn’t get a hold of anyone when we were lost, so for 3 hours we were driving around trying to find the place in the dark. we ended up stopping to get some food and wait to see if anyone would respond to our inquiries via whats app, finally someone got back to us but he didn’t speak English and didn’t know how to get us to the hotel.

The hotel offers a lot of yoga classes or mindfulness activities. Also a very nice Juice Bar and Restaurant. The food and smoothies were delicious. The room was huge, there are 2 pools big enough.
The mozzies.

Beautiful place for yoga and spiritual workshops. The area consists of many special buildings and little spaces like the breathtaking dom. Great vegetarian restaurant. Reception staff had phenomenal recommendations - and they truly went an extra mile to answer our questions about Tulum and Ycatan.

We loved Holistika, especially the stunning room. We had one of the poolside rooms and it was so spacious with tall ceilings and gorgeous decor. I went with my best friend and we left feeling well rested, having had lots of exercise and healthy delicious food. The restaurant is good with great veg/vegan menu. Obviously this place is a yogis dream with the extensive exercise class options and experience list, massage & treatments and focus on holistic health. We tried Ariel silks and Capoera and had the chance to book in a few massages. Two pools means that neither pool seemed to get overly busy, we often had the pool to ourselves and never any problem getting a sun lounger. The hotel really is in the middle of the jungle and this was a completely new and immersive experience for us. We were there in June so the beginning of the tropical season - amazing rain showers in the evening and exciting thunder storms, neither of which impacted our stay as we had great sun in the day and the storms were fun to watch from the room.
It would be easier if you could put your massage and food costs onto a room tab to settle at the end of the trip - I felt like I had to carry my purse everywhere and wait for the waiter to come with the bill/card machine - not a big issue but it did seem to interrupt the flow a bit. Our biggest bug bear was the hotel bikes - they are relatively expensive to hire out ($10 USD per bike per day, so for the two of us over 8 days that added up) and for that cost I would expect the tyres to be pumped and maintained a bit better. We also had a mix up with hiring them out and charged for more days than we used them for as the reception was sometimes so busy we left the bikes without checking them back in which meant the hotel didnt have a record of when we actually used them - this was a minor issue but because the hotel is a good 40 min bike ride from the beach we often got back from a beach day and just wanted to crash in the room without this sort of faf. Last thing is remembering to bring a natural insect repellent - the mosquitos were ready to bite most of the day and night but when you are in and out of the pool, sea and cenote you dont want to kill off the wildlife with chemical deet so be sure to bring plenty of natural stuff.

the staff were amazing and so helpful the restaurant was out of this world food was incredible
the treatment were just beautiful the best massage we have ever had
the man on reception didn’t tell us about all the facilities so we only found the second pool hours before we left on the last day

Amazing property with many offerings. Wonderful massages and yoga classes! Overall amazing vibe and more peaceful than the busy pueblo/beach areas of Tulum. I will 100% stay here again.

Just WOW !!!!

This place is special for the art. The room we had was big and looked nice. one of the pools was nice.
This place laks hospitality. You are send to your room with no explanation about the place. The staff at the restaurant were a bit arrogant and the table was full of flies. The place is all about yoga and maybe it would we better just as a yoga retreat for like minded people, with not too much hospitality expectations.

It's a very artistic place with lots of love for detail. Great offering of yoga classes.
Cleanliness in dorms could be improved

The design is amazing, beautiful jungle, low rise buildings, the art walk and just beautiful tiles and natural materials with great attention to detail - a place really built with love and attention. We stayed in the womens dorm - really beautiful, well designed and everyone was very considerate and mindful of noise. Very quiet at night, I slept very well. The reception team are very responsive in term of cleaning or extra water needed, there is a whatsapp channel to contact them for any needs for the dorms.
The pools were fantastic, perfect for swimmers.
It would be great to offer a beach shuttle to guests, the taxis are expensive in Tulum, unfortunatley the beach area has become really crazily expensive for Mexico, it leaves a bad taste. We stayed at Holistika longer than anticipated due to it's beautiful ambiance, pools and fantastic offerings of yoga and ceremonies - would love to return one day! But we were put off Tulum as a destination somewhat due to the prices that seemed totally out of proportion with the rest of the country.

The beehive, spacious and comfortable room.
The restaurant food options and service was poor. The vegan food is deep fried and lacks options in protein.
One night i had my dinner slammed down on the table and I was shocked at the lack of customer care and attention.
When you are busy your waiters are disorganised and stressed. Who is managing them? The food was bland and over priced.

not so close to the beach

i liked that it was further away from tulum centre and more into the jungle feeling. i loved the little touches they have made around the place, the art walk, the tree hut and so on. i loved the variety of classes you can attend and the teachers/instructors/facilitators are amazing!
they have a nice restaurant with vegan/vegetarian food (just make sure ur not in a rush)
the dorms have enough locker space (2 per person) and enough showers/toilets.
i loved the private room near the pool with hammocks, it was very bright with a big balcony!
you get discount on the classes when you stay at holistika and you get 1 class free.
they also rent out bicycles so you can go to the beach or around town or the mayan ruins.
first 3 days i stayed in the female dorm, for me it was light and too noisy (opening and closing of the doors) so i moved to the private room.
no breakfast incl.

The Cafe is the heart of the property. However, just go after yoga for Breakfast. If you want to talk to people, sit at the bar. The women are hot.
Outsiders cant use the pools, so those areas are dead. Facilities need to be labeled better. There seems to be a conflict between the hotel and wellness receptionists. The wellness receptionists are lazy. If one is going to oversell a class, make sure that enough mats are available. I've never experienced so many people in very expensive gear that could barely complete what I consider basic classes. Furthermore, the instructors should record themselves in order to improve how they dictate commands during classes. Very basic, but their dictation left a lot to be desired. Younger instructors need to realize that the class is not about them and complex poses, it is about the journey to a pose attained by proper sequencing. My local instructors can accomplish far more in 60 minutes than what I experienced in 90 minutes at Holistika

aritekture and surroundings is magical and so Beutiful and relaxing
didnt change the bessheets so foten and was many Tones missing toiletpaper and water

tranquil setting, away from the hustle and bustle, the people staying there who I met were lovely
the staff, they accused me of lying about my reservation when I got to the venue and they mishandled my belongs.
I’d paid for nights here (on booking.com) and was told that I didn’t and there was no reservation - even though I showed my booking.com reservation and my credit card bill. They also checked me out early and dumped all my things in a black bag, which got ruined because they also put an open bottle of water in the bag - electrically, books and clothes all soaked - it wasn’t welcoming for me and a stressful way to start a trip of a lifetime
