We had an excellent time staying at John's house. He and Lucy (property manager) are both extremely helpful and very communicative. It would be easy to just stay at the house and enjoy the backyard pool and shaded seating area. Not to mention that the house is very well furnished and comfortable. John also provides several beach chairs and an umbrella to enjoy the nearby beaches. We however, spent some of our time at the house and the rest traveling the island. John's home is in a perfect location to travel in any direction. We explored many beaches, cave attractions and restaurants. Often making it back in time for a refreshing afternoon swim. We would certainly consider staying here again. We are a family of four (kids are 10 & 12) and the house very accommodating.

It was nice but there were a few things neglected. Owner does not live in area so it is understandable. I have rented vacation homes quite a few times and this would be rated okay. We still enjoyed our time and had excellent neighbors that helped us as property manager was out of town.

Clean, spacious and exactly what we needed and what was advertised. Even better than advertised was the backyard/pool. So wonderful to have that beautiful/clean/private space. Landscaping/trees and the clean pool were wonderful.

Property is accurate for description on website. Enjoyed all the property amenities. Located in a nice area with easy access to activities in all demographic areas. Property manager is awesome! Greeted at gate, quick responses to questions/concerns. If you are looking for family fun in the sun with the comforts of home this place is great!

This property was a great place for us to stay on Puerto Rico. It is located in a gated community in a suburb of San Juan. Good access to El Yunque, Old San Juan, and many beaches. We spent most of our time in the nice outdoor space including private pool and covered patio and dining al fresco!

Start to finish - everything was wonderful. Lucy was amazing and very responsive. She provided a plethora of good information about the area and the house. The house was immaculate and well provisioned. My husband and I booked two weeks - the first with friends and the second with family. We intend to book again for next year. I love to walk and it was great to walk within the gated community and to/on the beach. The walk to the beach is well under 10 minutes (unless Gram was with us - hah) and those that did not want to walk drove the 5 minutes (you need to go out to the main road to access the beach by car). On street parking near the beach was always available and the parking lot was open at random times. The beach has numerous bars and restaurants and we walked to those for drinks and dinner. The grocery store is a 3 minute drive. We drove into Old San Juan and to a couple of other tourist spots - very accessible. Most nights we sat out by the pool and played cards or games and enjoyed fresh air and cocktails! We had to go back and forth to the airport several times and this was easy. You can rely on UBER from the airport (they are there until the last plane of the night arrives) but not TO the airport - none were available TO the airport in the early morning hours. The concrete structure of the walls makes the Internet a little shaky outside of the master bedroom. Fine for checking email and searching the Net but very shaky for streaming or meetings. My only suggestion would be to move the router to a more central location (kids were working from "home"). RELAX RELAX RELAX!!!!!!

Property owner and property manager very receptive to any issues that arose. Only complaint would be all the additional fees. I recommend that if the gate card is returned the transportation fee should be credited back. Also if there is no property damage the property insurance shpuld be credited back. The daily fee was not truly reflective of the overall cost . We felt the overall cost was high for the area.

We enjoy this house very much! Everything you can find for great quality rest is in this amazing home! The pool with light was gorgeous and we enjoyed it very much!Also made barbecue and incredible sounds of tropical animals.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The only complaint that I had was the house was not truly clean. Sent family away and cleaned it myself. Then all was well. Thank you for sharing this gem with us. Spacious and very family friendly.

The property was great. I would strongly recommend a rental car. We loved relaxing by the pool when we were not at the beach.

I absolutely loved this house. I even try to push back my flight so that I can stay an extra few days. The pictures do this property no justice. The location was great. Not too far from anything, right in the middle of everything actually maybe 35 to 40 minute drive anywhere!! I hope you guys are available for booking memorial day weekend 😂 I’m already pricing flights

Very nice property- loved the convenience of the location and the amenities we had on site. The house was very comfortable for all of us and the pool was a huge hit. The house was very clean and the security on site was welcome. Minor inconveniences such as non-working washing machine was resolved quickly. Would stay here again. If at all I would request the central A/C be upgraded since it wasn't doing a satisfactory job- but with the fans we managed well.

Everything was great. Stores, shopping and beaches are really close by. This beautiful home has all of your needs and a great pool to enjoy! Although a good deep cleaning would be recommended everything was as expected and exceeded our expectations. Property management was always available and helpful. Thank you John for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful home. I hope to return in the near future! My family and I really had a wonderful time in Puerto Rico!

This was our third stay at this house and each time we like it more. A great place to relax and party.

This was a great property. It had all you need to feel at home. It allowed me to rest, read, and just relax by the pool. There were local supermarkets and restaurants in less than a five-minute drive. House is in a gated community which added a great assurance of feeling safe. Both the owner and property manager was gracious and responded quickly to any of my questions. Defenitly a place I will come back to stay.

Best experience we have ever had with an air bnb. We were always able to communicate with everyone super easy and they answered any and all questions. They had an abundance of extras for us to use in the pool and at the beach like chairs coolers and floaters too! This was such a beautiful house and they had absolutely everything we needed. Booked last minute too and had to leave early too and they were just extremely forgiving with everything. Definitely going to come back here every time we go to Puerto Rico! Thank you again John and Valerie for everything!!

First off, we loved the location and neighborhood. Valerie texted us the lockbox code and said she would meet us at the house. Upon entering the house, the hallway and master bedroom were flooded. Carpet in master was soaked and about an inch of water in the hallway. I immediately called Valerie. She was an hour away. We had traveled for approximately 12 hours and we were tired and hungry. We left for a bite to eat and when we got back to the house Valerie was about 10 minutes away. When she came in and saw what the situation was, she didn’t tell us anything about what she was going to do. We sat on the couch while she cleaned up but there wasn’t any communication. After everything was cleaned up, she kind of gave me an overview. I had to ask about several things. I believe she was flustered because of the flood situation. We never received the parking pass. The propane tank on the grill was empty. Valerie brought another over but it was the wrong fitting. I finally found another in the outside storage area. We weren’t told about the trash and how that worked. We really enjoyed the pool but were sad that the waterfall feature only turned on at 11pm so we really couldn’t enjoy it. I feel as though we were nickel and dimed at this location. We had to pay a parking fee yet the owners car was taking up half of the drive. We were expected to start the laundry of the used linens but there wasn’t any detergent supplied. We were expected to supply our own toilet paper! It’s also stated that we would be responsible to pay for any electricity usage above the normal amount. Well, when you take into account the owners are an older couple that probably doesn’t use much A/C or electricity, of course it will be above the average amount when a family of 4 or 5 stays there. If it’s about the money then we would have preferred the weekly rate to be an extra $100-150 to take care of that. We did read in the binder that if a major system of the house or something breaks an effort will be made to fix it but if cannot be fixed, no refund will be given. If the A/C broke and couldn’t be fixed, that would be horrible on vacation! Several rooms including the master bath, breakfast area, and kitchen had smudges and splatters of what appeared to be food or some kind of dirt on the walls, trim around the windows and doors. Master toilet bowl would fill with water but not flush. This is the 3rd time we have used HomeAway and we will use it again, but not this location.
