This house is right on the 804 trail and you can walk to a beach. Amazing ocean view with less than a block walk. It was a perfect house for our group, my kids loved it. Really close to Yachats City Center and other fun activities.

Clean and close to coast.

All and all the whole stay was a great experience. Location was clean, quiet, and had plenty of room for a family of four. We loved how close it was to the ocean and being able to hear the waves at night. Would definitely recommend it to friends, as well as consider staying there again.

Good location for exploring Yachats as well as Newport. Lots of things to see and do. Overall very comfortable stay.

The rental agents were not very responsive to advance questions. Left messages but often got no call back. Written directions to property were not explicit enough-- glad we had Google maps. The property was still being cleaned when we arrived, we were not able to get in until 4:30 (4 was the checkin time, which is pretty late.

Cute cabin has everything you'll need for a retreat in Yachats, however, An hour of cleaning with a vacuum would bring me back again. The ENTIRE WALL in the bedroom was COVERED with webs and dust. This was directly above my head while trying to sleep. The corners of the bedside tables were deep in webs and dust. I could not stay another night in that room and moved to an upstairs room. My husband talked with the property management office the next morning and they simply offered to clean it when we leave. EWWWWW. Also the heaters were caked in dust and soot. Along with the bathroom having someone else toothpaste splattered on the walls. Seriously, the homeowner needs to consider the cleaner they have hired and expect some cleaning.

One of the room heaters was not working but Peter, from Ocean Odyssey, promptly brought a space heater. The kitchen is fairly well-stocked although some of the shelves were very high and difficult to reach. We discovered shortly before leaving that firewood is not provided. Then when we got to The Kite, we found sign saying that we should only use Presto logs. We called around but couldn't find a local source for Presto logs. I would've liked this info to be clearly posted on the listing so that we could've brought the Presto logs along. The location of the house is excellent. It's a very short walk to the bluff overlooking the ocean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The Kite is always clean, good supply of pots and pans, plenty of towels, etc. A short walk down the street and you're on the ocean, a longer walk you're in center of the town of Yachats. We really did have fun there though, very comfy with lots of amenities. Did not quite figure out how to get sat/cable tv, but enjoyed a movie with Netflix. We also have an aframe rental and it is quite different, inside The Kite it is just like a regular cabin.

This A-frame cabin was clean, comfortable and very well furnished. The only issue we had was that the CD player wasn't hooked up to the TV, and there were no batteries in the remote which I finally discovered after trying to figure things out for 15 minutes with no success. Netflix worked though so we watched that instead. Operation instructions would have been nice. The two main bedroom mattresses were very comfortable, and the heating was good. We had a very nice stay even though the weather was really bad and winds were 70 mile winds that shook the cabin for about 6 hours. It was a pleasant and relaxing weekend playing games, eating and talking.

This is a great location for walking access to town as well as the 804 Trail and a beautiful sandy beach. We spent an enjoyable week exploring the coastline and relaxing in the little cabin.

For the price it was great! The furniture is a little out dated, but the two beds were very comfy. The futons in the 3rd bedroom were not so comfy so an actual bed in there would be perfect, but all and all can’t complain. We decided to make this an annual trip and would definitely stay here again. However, the neighbors on the east side near where you park made sexual comments to me as I was packing the car on the last day. I am a single mom with two kids and what he was saying was not okay and made me very uncomfortable!!! Up until that point the kids and I wanted to book this house again, however will probably not book this particular property. This is the longest review I have ever left, but felt like I needed to say something. If you are a single female, I wanted to give you a heads up. Other than that, it was the best trip and a nice place to stay. :)

The Kite was perfect for us! The full kitchen allowed us to cook all our meals and we were steps away from the beach and trail. The cottage was clean and comfortable! We want to stay here again!

Lovely house a minute walk to beach! Great space in home! Well supplied. Fireplace, deck, washer & dryer. Shower is quite small. Home was very comfortable! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend & return!
