What a gem of a property! My Girl Scout co-leader and I took our troop for a long weekend to celebrate their high school graduations. The house was a neat as a pin and well appointed with all of the supplies we needed to cook and enjoy the beach. We were steps from the beach and the Broadkill store on the island. Get the donuts at the store early because they do sell out by 0900!

The house is beautiful, clean and we loved the large screened in porch. The beach is quiet. You do have to drive a bit to get to shops and restaurants, but, we didn't mind, Lewes is only about a 15 minute drive. We will definitely come back.

It was easy to check in and we had plenty of space. It’s a lovely home and has a lot of amenities in the kitchen. The screened in porch was enjoyable to sit on. A quiet neighborhood and a local store just a block walk away

Second year in a row and we love it here! Comfortable home with easy access to the beach. My favorite feature - the screened in porch. We watched a few storms from the rockers and even caught a few shooting stars one night. Brad and Karen are easy to work with.

Stayed here for a 3 and 1 year old. We all had a blast, it was clean, spacious, safe, and had everything we needed. We hope to come back again!

We absolutely loved the property, so clean and stocked with everything you could need. We had a thoroughly relaxing week, much needed and this was just the right place for us. If you don’t want to drive know that restaurants are 15-20 minutes away, but you can also just hunker down here and no need to leave :)

If you’re looking for a pristine property that is just steps from the beach, this is it. The property is modern and updated and feels like home. The screened in porch and outdoor seating were perfect for morning coffee and also to unwind in the evening. The home is well appointed with every single appliance and all of the amenities one could ask for. We enjoyed the assortment of puzzles and board games to entertain the children. The beds are comfortable and the towels were luxurious. There is also an additional refrigerator (which came in handy for all of our beverages). The Keurig coffee maker was also a really nice touch. Just a heads up, the house is on stilts, so it is not ideal for a guest who cannot walk up stairs. I’m not sure we realized that when booking, but it all worked out. Brad is an awesome communicator, and we hope to stay here again soon!

Lovely time with family for a week. House was comfortable, cozy and spacious for 8 of us. Great weather and a lot of beach time since it was so close. Ate dinner numerous evenings under the covered porch, plus game nights. We would come back for another family trip.👍

Everything was just as explained in the reviews. The house is well stocked, very very close to the beach, quiet neighborhood, great to ride bikes on the road or walk on the road. We love Broadkill beach, and have been coming to this beach for about 14 years. It's clean, quiet, not full of people, and is a very friendly place.

We had an excellent trip in June 2023. The property far exceeded our expectations. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a beach trip from towels and toys for the beach to games and a kitchen that is as well equipped as my own. Everything at the property was in good condition and well maintained. Our group loved the screened in porch which provides some view of the bay and is a calm and relaxing spot. It is easy to get to the bay where we were able to take long walks searching for shells along the beach, build sandcastles and even swim. We saw others fishing from the shore, though we did not do any fishing ourselves. The paddle board and kayak make it possible to enjoy the water even if you aren't interested in being in it. My five year old son, who is not yet ready to go into the ocean, greatly enjoyed the water here. The location of the property is perfect; the beach at the property is quiet with few people. We spent two days at Cape Henlopen State Park, a short drive away, which has a beautiful, though busy, beach on the Atlantic Ocean. We appreciated the quiet of the house and the ease with which we were able to visit the ocean for the day. No one in our group had been to the area before and we all greatly enjoyed it. There was something for everyone from age 5 to 75. We all left with the intention of returning again in the future.

The house is super clean and the views and relaxation from the deck alone make it a great stay. The owners are very accommodating and quick to assist if needed. We'll definitely be back for another stay soon.

An amazing place, lots of essentials already there for us. The only disadvantage was the house being built nearby, but overall it was great! Highly recommend for being near the beach!

Clean, comfortable, well stocked house. Short walk to the beach. We walked 5 miles on a beautiful morning and saw about a dozen people. This is a perfect location for people looking for a quiet getaway.

Visiting Delaware was a first for our family and the cottage gave us an amazing first impression. The host keeps the cottage very clean and it is well cared for without a doubt. If you want to feel at home and relaxed at the same time this cottage is for you. The cottage came stocked with all the kitchen stuff you need to cook with; limitless ways to entertain yourself and families (puzzles, games, access to cable and streaming, and the beach itself); and a fantastic view of the ocean with sand dunes. The back porch is so inviting I just wish it would have been a little bit warmer to enjoy a couple cups of coffee while sitting in the rocking chairs. I love love love this cottage! We will be back to stay for sure. Thank you for such an opportunity to stay in your piece of heaven. The Sharps!

Brad's house was very comfortable, clean and had so many extras. We enjoyed using the bikes and beach chairs and the kitchen had everything needed for cooking. We would definitely stay there again.

My girlfriends and I booked this beach house for our annual girls trip, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was absolutely lovely, well maintained, and spotless. You can tell the owners took great care to make sure every essential is available for guests to make their stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. The house itself is well decorated and cozy, and is in a great location with views of the beach from the screened in porch. The owner was a great communicator and gave clear instructions that were easy to follow. Overall, it was a great vacation rental, and we look forward to booking again in the future!

I am absolutely thrilled with this beach house! We came here for our kids to attend the Firefly Festival, while my husband and I explored the area and just relaxed, which has been much needed. We couldn't have asked for more! Check-in was smooth, communication perfect, the house just what we wanted. I thoroughly enjoyed the screened in deck overlooking the dunes with a glimpse of the ocean. The cool breezes coming through the open windows were breathtaking! So. Many. Games! I couldn't put the puzzle book down. The kitchen was well stocked. The one and only thing I didn't like was having to buy our own TP. He gave is a roll each bathroom, but that was for 5 people for 4 nights. But I'll deal with that little thing for a place this nice. I rarely give 5 stars. But I'd come back here again and again.

Wish we could have booked it for longer. As I’m recovering from pneumonia and covid, i didnt actually have the energy to make it to the beach (although it is within normal walking distance) but I still had a lovely time relaxing on the porch and enjoying the breeze. See you again next year, hopefully in better health!

Short walk with amazing views from the screened in porch. If there were a hammock on the porch, I would’ve slept on it and stayed on the porch then entire stay. Home is very clean and Brad was easy to work with.

We loved staying at Brad’s house. This is our second visit to Broadkill Beach and Brad’s house. The house is very clean. Beautifully decorated and the screened porch is wonderful! Hope to go back soon!

Our experience at Broadkill was awesome. We had amazing weather and the beach was awesome as well. Short walk to and from made it convenient with young kids. Brad the owner was great quick to respond with questions. And the house is really nice and family friendly. The screened in porch was awesome morning and evening. Would recommend this property for a week or a weekend stay.
