To start I would not describe this as “beachfront” there were other buildings behind us that hindered the ocean view. The view from our windows/balcony was the parking lot and building behind us. This was not a big deal to us but just for clarification to prospective renters. It was a short walk to the beach that we had private access to but the beach itself was not private. The unit we stayed in was very nice, seemed to be well kept and was clean upon arrival. We tried The Deck restaurant attached to the resort and really enjoyed the food. The pool was also very nice. My only personal complaint was the parking area. There were cement block walls and a portion that jutted out a foot or two from the wall near adult height, the walls were all the same color and I hit my head on this piece so hard I thought I might have to go to the ER. It was not clearly marked as a hazard. Although I am OK, this really put a damper on my vacation for a day or two. Otherwise the unit, location, staff and amenities were pretty great! Thank you!

We had the best family vacation! This was our first time to Tybee and it didn’t disappoint. The condo was very clean, and well stocked. The location to the beach, pool and restaurant were the best part! Everything on the island was within walking distance or a short drive. It was extra hot the week we were there and the A/C was having a hard time keeping up, so the condo was a little warm. Would recommend offering beach chairs for guests to use that couldn’t bring with them, the beach equipment rentals can get pricey for the week. We will definitely be back!

This 2 bedroom condo was in a great location to enjoy the pool and beach access. We had a partial view of the ocean that was better in person than the pictures online. The condo was very comfortable and had all the kitchen items we needed. The washer and dryer really came in handy since we had 2 kids with us. We plan to come back in July.Absolutely LOVE Beachside Colony!

The location and overall stay was great. The shower in the guest bathroom had a very tricky (backwards) faucet and it was really hard to get a good water temp. The slider door was also pretty tricky/sticky and left some family members sitting inside while they waited for stronger family to wake up and unjam the lock. Seems like they just need some little fixes. Thanks!

I stayed a week at this rental with 3 other gal pals from church. We enjoyed ourselves so much. The condo was clean , beautiful and very comfortable. We had the best time. I think there should be a safety lock on the inside of the door so no one can just walk in , such as housekeeping 🤣I didn’t understand why the resort had trash pickup so early especially in Saturday after it was just done a day or 2 before. That was strange and sleep disturbing but overall it was wonderful. The staff that I encountered were so kind to us. Very helpful. Especially Doreen. Stacy herself saw to our stay and we appreciate her so much. We had a blast.

Location has nice condos, with pools and beach access. The restaurant on location is nice, and just a short distance from a lot to choose from on Tybee Island. Savannah is just a short drive down the road. Plenty to keep you busy, or just relax in the sun.

All of the kids loved it. The condo was clean and had a sleeper sofa that our teenager loved. We enjoyed bike rides and a dolphin tour this trip but loook forward to visiting downtown Savannah next time. We love staying at Beachside Colony and afternoons by the oceanfront pool and restaurant.

Loved the location. Walking distance to beach, easy access! During the duration of our stay, rain and cold weather dampened the stay, but still got few moments of walking the beautiful beach and shell collecting. Distance to savannah was a bonus. 20 minutes drive! As for the condo itself, first impression was carpet was dirty. Pee stained carpet was everywhere. We had to wear our shoes in the condo to avoid the dirty carpet. Our dogs were in diapers to make sure no soiling in the condo happened. So previous tenants were not as courteous. Otherwise the place was ok. For the extra charges for housekeeping it was not acceptable.

Night one the smoke alarm went off at 11PM. The contact nos for the mgmt company were 9 - 5. I had to listen to this all night. My husband finally disconnected the entire alarm. Horrible view as shown in listing - we did get to see inside the townhouses across from us. Heat/AC unit was so loud it sounded like a jet plane. The master bath shower rod is rusted so bad! Master bedroom carpet is dirty. The 2nd room has mold in front of the tub. We had 1 scratchy towel set for 5 days use. We could not find our garbage can so we used somebody else's. Last day we found ours at the wrong unit. Living room curtain has a giant stain on it. Outside railings had lots of bird droppings and no table to eat on. Plenty of chairs to sit and stare at the townhouses in front of you. It was a horrible stay. Not sure if the mgmt company or vrbo is to blame. Thank You

We loved the island it was beautiful and at the time of our visit tourist population was at a minimal amount. We enjoyed not only our stay, but the ability to walk and visit the establishments on the island. We were able to walk the beach every morning and evening at leisurely.

Cover for electric outlet was ripped off, carpet was stained, looks like housekeeping did not take anything off the dressers and wipe it down. There was a re-useable mop head in the washer. Elevator was very very slow. Celling has tape hanging from the kitchen.

The pool bar & restaurant closed on Saturday afternoon of Labor Day weekend!?? That was not expected or appreciated. This was the main reason we stayed here.Lots of mold in the master bath and the tile grout was pretty gross too.Other than that, it was a good weekend.

Nice beach getaway
This condo’s location is perfect. Nice view of the pool and the ocean behind it. Access to the beach within steps from the building. Delicious restaurant within the condo’s premises. Very easy and friendly check in and check out process. The unit itself could use a deep clean. It’s tidy and looks ok but here and there are some neglected areas (vacuuming under the beds, new carpeting and shower liners needed etc) that if addressed, would provide a spotless environment. Overall quite satisfied with our stay.

Attention to Detail/Better Cleaning Needed
Overall it's a good place. Furniture and appliances in good condition. Property is conveniently located.
BUT Attention to detail is needed though. This property cost too much money to have all of the below:
-No dust pan. Former renters swept trash into the broom closet.
-Cleaning was lacking ( No one swept under the trash can in the kitchen, spills on counter top and cabinet, crumbs in microwave, very dusty vent in master bath)
-Plugs in both bathrooms very lose, hair dryer, curking iron would not srsy plugged in
-comforter in master was ripped and stained
-dryer door opens on the wrong side making it hard to use given its location/angle in a closet.
-master bath was slow to drain
Prepare to launder your towels daily or bring your own as there is not enough
-Pool was out of service and no where on the listing was this mentioned. I found out when reviewing another listing on VRBO

Great location. Clean, well appointed condo. Beautiful sunrises from balcony. Courteous accommodating staff. Nice views and good food from the restaurant deck. Look forward to returning.

Great find in Tybee
I have stayed in Tybee numerous times and this condo was the best accommodations of all. The added “resort fee” gave me heartburn but the condo itself was clean and above average for Tybee.

First timers to Tybee Island. Overall an "average/okay" experience at Beachside. Good proximity to the beach (although not a beach view)...very walkable; however too close to the busy roadway. Traffic on the busy roadway was loud at night. Condition of the unit needs some TLC ~ hole in the wall near the door, rusted shower bar, furniture starting to show dirt/wear, rusted toilet paper holder, etc. Nothing that was worth making a fuss over, but definitely not the best quality. However it is evident that there are attempts at upkeep ~ newer kitchen cabinets, comfortable mattresses and nice bedding (slept great!). Secure and convenient parking. Disappointed that we did not use the pool....smaller than pictures indicate and lounge chairs looking filthy, so didn't even attempt a pool day (sadly, as this is one of the reasons we chose Beachside). Not sure if we will go back to TI, but anytime at the beach with sunshine is a good time!
