This is a large and comfortable farm property. Family members came from various locations, and it was a great place to meet up. Large kitchen with adjacent dining room was great for gathering at mealtime. Spacious bedrooms, two with en-suite, were very comfortable. Our two kids were able to share the loft bedroom and still each have their own space. The star was the living room, adjacent to a patio with picnic style tables. The view from the fields to the hills across the valley was stunning. This is a farm, and it was quite warm while we were there. So there were flies. It would be great to have a fly swatter available, but we just used a kitchen towel to fight the good fight. At one point, it was so warm, I messaged to ask about opening the skylights in the rooms. Mrs W was at the door within moments to show me the tool used to open them and help me to do this. It really helped cool us down for our last night. Our last night, we dined at the local pub, The Grantley, a short walk into the village. Absolutely delicious food all around, and amazing service from the very kind staff. Note to preorder meals and reserve at least one day in advance. Well worth the effort. We took local walks, as well as visited Fountains Abbey- amazing lunch spot! And enjoyed Ripon as well. All in all, a wonderful stay in a beautiful location.
