Our family, grandparents, parents and young children, planned a busy itinerary for touring Portugal. We booked 4 days in the Algarve region early in April and chose Villa Phoenix based on photos and reviews. We were not disappointed! The property is well situated to tour the surrounding area. The house is spacious, comfortable, clean - really perfect for our needs. There is a great patio for relaxing or eating outdoors. The grounds are truly special. It has a beautiful pool area and we were lucky it was warm enough to take advantage of it. The gardens are lush with flowering plants and trees and divided into areas for eating and grilling outside, lawn games, stone paths, fountains and even a little bridge. The children loved checking on the chickens each morning and looking for fairies. Needless to say, we would love to return to this property in the future. Our hosts on site, Melissa and Clive were warm, friendly and very helpful. Clive’s hand drawn maps were invaluable !!

In this holiday home nothing is left to be desired. The entire property is a dream. Melissa and Clive are very helpful and very nice people. We had a great time and definitely recommend the property to others!

We were a family of 8 that stayed at Villa Phoenix. Clive and Melissa greeted us and we immediately felt welcomed. They were very accommodating with our needs. The welcomed package was generous and well appreciated. The house is spacious, the grounds are just beautiful, and the pool was amazing! The house is secluded but still within a short drive to Alvor. We used local taxis for transportation and the fees were very reasonable. We loved it and would go back without hesitation!

2 Adults + 3 Children What a wonderful week at Villa Phoenix!! It was spacious, tranquil with a luxurious feel to the entire stay. Our children (let’s not kid ourselves us adults too) loved the Pool and Hot Tub!! This was such a wonderful experience for our family having not stayed in a Villa before. There was everything provided to cater for our stay and much, much more... The location was discrete, calm and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. Everything was within reasonable distance. We used more of the local taxis and the odd Uber to get around as we did not want to drive ourselves. Last but not least, what wonderful hosts. Melissa and Clive were really great, very helpful in every way. They provided a really well prepped welcome pack too with all the essentials needed. Really well thought out. We will definitely be booking the villa again!!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Villa Phoenix. Melissa and Clive were perfect hosts and made us feel welcome from the start. The house is absolutely beautiful: big, clean rooms with nothing left to chance. The grounds are stunning. Clive has put much effort into making the gardens beautiful and it shows. The swimming pool is out of this world! We will definitely stay again.

What indulgence! Morning cuppa in the sunshine on my very own dedicated terrace overlooking the new extension to the garden. Heavenly scent from the flowers and a delight to hear the babbling brook they've just built in the garden. As ever (I'm a regular repeat booking) the villa is immaculate, very well located and tastefully decorated with everything you could want. I'm now not so steady on my feet and it's such a reassurance to use the dedicated gentle sloping paths, grab rails in the bathrooms and other unobtrusive little aids. I really couldn't find any fault and would highly recommend the villa to anyone wanting a proper good rest.

Our second time renting this property as an extended family.. granny & grandad; mum & dad and 3 & 7 year olds. It has everything we need for a fantastic family holiday and only a short drive to Alvor and the beaches. The villa is beautifully presented and there is nothing you will be short of. The pool area and gardens are a delight and immaculately kept. The reason why the villa gets such rave reviews is easy.....Clive and Melissa! They are on site if there is any problem but are totally unobtrusive. The fact that the villa is their home shows in how it is kept. They care about the villa but they also care about your holiday. Little extras, above and beyond what is expected and an extensive welcome pack. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful villa, incredibly clean and well-maintained. Plenty of space for the kids to run around in the fenced gardens with no neighbours so they could be a bit noisy too. We were able to really relax on the loungers, either round the pool or in a different part of the garden or terrace to get some quality quiet time - oh and with the odd glass of wine. Huge sitting room, dining room and upper terrace made chilling in front of the TV, cooking and eating like something out of the magazines. Last but not least, comfy big beds. Couldn't fault it.

We had a lovely week in villa Phoenix. The rooms are spacious and very tastefully presented. Never been in a villa with Themed bedrooms which tells you that the owners have thought to bring the best out of their property. The welcome pack was generous and gave us a great start to the holiday. Clive and Melissa were on hand but discreet . We hope to return as the villa exceeded our expectations,

I would definitely stay at Villa Phoenix again. The property has loads of space, every amenity you need, a brilliant BBQ area and an absolutely fantastic heated pool and jacuzzi, (the heating of which is included in the price). I honestly think we spent more time in and around the pool than we did in the villa! Melissa and Clive were really helpful and there if you needed them but were not intrusive in any way. They just let you get on with your holiday, which is great. The location is secluded but still within a very short drive of Alvor and several other towns and beaches. Overall - highly recommended.

We were 8 people (2 families) celebrating anniversaries and birthdays and there couldn't have been a better place to do it. The photos don't do justice to the beauty of the villa and its gardens. The host couple were welcoming and so helpful with answers to any questions we had. The home is filled with anything and everything you might need to make it easy to relax and enjoy every minute of your vacation - from the welcome package (wine, fruit, breakfast essentials and so much more), to the fully equipped kitchen to the pool and "pool toys" to each beautifully decorated bedroom and bathroom with their generous cupboards and drawers to the serenity of the beautiful gardens. I would highly recommend this villa to any family or couples group that wants to share an opportunity to create lifetime memories of spending time in heaven on earth. That's not to say that it isn't a great location for some crazy fun time as well.

Villa Phoenix is beautifully maintained by Melissa and Clive who are always on hand to help if needed. It is fully equipped as a functioning family home. The welcome pack provided was the best we have had at any villa. The villa has 4 good sized ensuite bedrooms, a big living and dining area, a good sized kitchen and utility room. Outside the gardens are meticulously kept and gave the kids great room for exploring and playing ball games. The pool area was exceptional. A big heated pool and spa with plenty of loungers and parasols made the area better than many hotels we have stayed in. Lots of inflatables, balls, racquets,etc on hand. Our family of 6 (4adults and 2 young children) had a fantastic holiday and will definitely be back.

We’ve had an amazing holiday here at Villa Phoenix! The traditional villa is spacious, clean and well stocked with everything you might need to enjoy your holiday. The gardens are huge and interesting to explore with a large lawned area, a shaded bbq area and a series of featured paths leading to a lovely herb garden for guests to use. The pool is amazing! Large and ranging from 1-2m in depth with an integrated hot tub that guests can control both heat and bubbles. For early May the pool temp was circa 30degrees! Friends staying at a neighbouring villa were unfortunate to not have a heated pool and this very much limited its use, whilst our family were lucky to be able to use the pool at Villa Phoenix all day long - which we did! Clive and Melissa are the perfect discrete on-site management team and certainly their help and the little touches they provide (just one example being a birthday card and balloons for my daughters 4th birthday) make this place 5 stars and somewhere we’d love to come back to again.

Pool is superb and with it's new heat pump the water temperature was over 30C - in early April ! Restaurants and nightlife in Alvor are great and with the Taxi ride at around 12 Euro - no drink drive problems.

Fabulous peaceful oasis with forays into town for some memorable dinners and late night entertainment. The owners have recently installed a new pool heater which resulted in the pool being amazingly warm. Who knew that you could enjoy 29 degrees in APRIL! What a kick start to the tan for this summer. One to repeat next year.

My 3 friends and I had an amazing week at this gorgeous villa in October. The service from Melissa and Clive could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The set-up of the villa, the quality of the furnishings, the mid-week clean, the outdoor dining areas (loved the BBQ area in the garden). Everything was amazing and we will definitely be returning.

We are repeat visitors to Villa Phoenix and there are so many reasons why... We are a family that has grown since we started visiting Villa Phoenix and we love it because it is our home away from home. This year it provided more than enough space for three active children... Two big lawns to play on and an immaculately maintained pool and hot tub which the kids loved. We also found that the villa was particularly good when we had a 12 week old baby. Clive and Melissa made sure we had everything that we needed - cots appropriate for our children's age. They were also more than happy to have stocked up on essentials that we needed in advance. One year we arrived late and requested prepared food on arrival... There was enough for us all for two days! This was in addition to the welcome pack - so well stocked that when we arrived this year, we were able to sort lunch for the kids before going to the supermarket. The villa is so well stocked, I have never been in need of kitchen utensils and the washing machine is used as at home with all the powder and softer supplied. I cannot recommend this villa enough... The scenery, the peace and our families general happiness and wellbeing... It is all down to the care and attention of Clive and Melissa and the stunning location and tranquility of Villa Phoenix.

Great villa and amazing holidays ! We spent 2 great weeks at the Phoenix villa. Even before we arrived the contact was great with Sally, she always answered very quickly to all our questions. When we arrived we discovered food for the first dinner and breakfast which was perfect because we landed in the evening. The house was really big, every room had its own bathroom, the swimming pool is also very big, we could really swim. The house is very well furnished (cleaning products, toys for the swimming pool...) and we received new towels in the middle of stay. The location is also very good, calm neighborhoods.

We arrived late afternoon to a warm welcome, a fantastic welcome pack, a stunning villa and fantastic weather. We cannot fault this place at all. I loved every minute of it. Thanks to Melissa and Clive for looking after us.

The property is very well maintained, my favourite part was the grounds, pool and BBQ area. It is the perfect setting to relax and spend time with friends and family. At night the front of the villa is lovely to sit at as there is lovely lights around the terrace which creates a lovely ambience. The rooms were very clean and spacious with plenty of storage space. The owners were lovely and could not be more helpful and checking we were having a good time and if there were any problems (which there was not). I would highly recommend this villa and I am very happy I picked this villa as it ticked all the boxes.

On arrival we could not believe the welcome pack provided at Villa Pheonix; far more than we have ever had at any other villa, so do not go shopping before going to the villa, you will find all the small things are provided for you. For us, staying 9 days in August in above average temperatures, the air conditioning was an absolute necessity and at no extra cost.......I don't know what we would have done without it. The rooms are all spacious, the beds very comfortable and the villa and grounds are in excellent condition throughout.The gardens are beautiful and the pool and jacuzzi area kept the youngsters cool and happy during the very hot days. My husband was able to watch the one day cricket matches on TV, so he was happy! We were 3 generations staying at Villa Pheonix and we all enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to Melissa and Clive for their help, I hope we return soon.
