Great property. There's a 1 way street between the house and the beach where everyone shows off their rides all day long. Great people watching spot. Great for the kids.

10 of us stayed at this location. 5 teens and 5 adults. We all fit comfortably and the teens approved of the location. I loved being in front of the beach. We enjoyed surfing (though many spots are black balled), we relaxed on the front porch watching the sunset, people watched, and played volleyball on the court that was right across from us. I made it a point to make sure we were there on a Thursday because the market night is so much fun. Great place! The only issue which is not a deal breaker is the tiny sinks in the bathroom. Very hard to wash your face. But I didn’t care much. The shower made up for it.

location is great for large family that just wants to partake in beach activities like surfing, boogie boarding, riding bikes etc. House is spacious! It was clean and all the necessary essentials were provided. We’re already planning our next stay at The Pink Door.

The comfort of this hone was incredible, as well as the location. Right on the beach. Very safe. Lots of amenities provided.

Our family of adults rented this house for a long birthday weekend. We found it to be comfortable and well equipped. The location can't be beat! It was lovely sitting on the deck with coffee in the morning and then watching the sun set with wine in the evening. You really can't get closer to the beach. The strand can get noisy with cars and people passing by but since we were there in October it was fine. We didn't use the backyard at all but it would definitely be a bonus during the hotter, busier summer months. The other pros: the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, serving platters and equipment. I did bring my own knives and a good large frying pan. The beds were comfortable and although the house is on the small size, it never felt cramped but rather was cozy. The cons: the bathroom sinks, as mentioned by others, are so small that they are difficult to use. I'd recommend more wash clothes be provided and for renters to bring face wipes. Also, one of the rooms had a luggage rack, which given there were no closets, shelves or hooks in any of the bedrooms, was very helpful. It would be nice to have at least one luggage rack in each room and for hooks to be added. These are minor things. We loved the house and would return in a heartbeat.

Super clean, super fun, perfect location, sunsets were beautiful, we had fun visiting with locals and beach goers! Many great restaurants in the area. House is updated and really comfortable. We all slept great listing to the ocean waves 🌊. Spent tons of time on the front porch enjoying the beautiful weather we were lucky to have. We will be back 🏖♥️🌞

We had a family reunion at the Pink Door. Couldn't ask for a better location. Walk out the front door and onto the beach. We spent most of the time sitting on the front porch people watching. We were also entertained by all the amazing cars that passed by on the Strand. Great fun. There was 8 of us and had plenty of room. Hope to go back soon.

We had a great time staying at the pink door house in Oceanside. The beach house was immaculate and very spacious for a group of 10. The beach was beautiful and we had a great time. Will stay again.

The home was in beautiful condition, had a great location, air conditioned upstairs bedrooms and was well supplied with towels, dishes, sand toys, and even a kid pool for our toddler. We had a wonderful family vacation! The only issues we had were that the downstairs was not air conditioned so we couldn't use the bedroom downstairs (we were there during a heat alert) and the flies were terrible, which may have been due to the weather. Unfortunately, we needed to leave doors open to cool the downstairs.

Pros: - Beach front location with easy beach access and front porch to people watch - Enclosed back patio area to hangout, BBQ, fire pit - Easy parking - Good communication with property manager Cons: - No central AC, portable AC units in 3 of the 4 bedroom only. No AC downstairs, living room, or loft area. - A LOT of bugs, gnats, ants in the house due to needing to keep doors and windows open for air circulation. - A lot of car and pedestrian traffic on beach side due to busy holiday weekend as expected. Some homeless hang out on the beach benches right in front of the house. - Only 2 bathrooms with tiny sinks - No beach chairs as advertised in property listing

Property was exactly as advertised. Very clean and well appointed. Location was perfect, right on the beach. We enjoyed the fire pit, and back deck and yard. We spent enjoyable evenings sitting on the front deck watching the parade of interesting people on the Strand at sunset. Highly recommended for a family beach vacation.

The house is steps away from the beach. There were cars driving by which was a concern with little ones but we managed. The house was very clean, backyard was a great space and fun for the kids, and location was awesome. We would definitely go back!

Could not have asked for anything more for our family trip. There were 10 of us and the living and sleeping arrangements worked out great. Loved being right on the strand where you can people watch and meet all kinds of folks. Kids loved having the beach just steps away.

The pink door was the perfect getaway place for our 3-generation spring break beach visit! It was big enough, very well-supplied, and access to the beach was PERFECT!

Bathrooms tiny no towel racks. They keep towels in upstairs bunk area ? Rooms cramped very minimal storage for clothes no drawers, rolling hanging units in each room. Owners only supply one roll of paper towels and limit your tp as well so bring your own? Pricey for what you get I think. On positive note; parking perfect. Large back deck perfect for yoga or mini work outs and slim front porch perfect for people watching. Great one time stay.

When you walk in, your first thought is - wow! Looks like you stepped into a ritzy beach magazine. Gorgeously decorated in whites and blues, it seemlessly blends into the ocean just steps away. We have been staying in Carlsbad/Oceanside every fall break for many, many years now, and this is hands-down the best location ever. The beach is right out the front door - and it’s a GOOD beach, not mostly rocks. We loved sitting on the porch to watch both sunrises and sunsets. Bonus points for ample parking space too! The beds were all comfy- and there’s a lot of them! Towels were plentiful and kitchen was well stocked. It was nice not to have to pack boogie boards and sand toys- although they didn’t have any beach chairs. Bummer. Space is at a premium and they’ve devoted it to beds. Only one living area inside, but the back yard is a great gathering space too. The bathrooms are laughably small. They’ve quite ingeniously used what look like airplane bathroom sinks, which isn’t a problem until you try washing your face in them. It’s like washing your face in a drinking fountain. But small price to pay for the rest of the accommodations. My suggestion to the owners is to install some shelves in the bedrooms. There are no dressers or closets - I get it: no space. There are clothes racks to hang a few things, but really no place to put STUFF. A couple shelves on the wall would go a long way. It’s hard to keep a place tidy with nine people having to put most everything on the floor. But all this was minor inconvenience. It really was a beautiful home and we’d be happy to stay there again. And again and again.

My dad had always dreamed about renting a beach house with his children and grandchildren. Ever since he was a little boy when his mom took him to a friends Beachhouse he knew he wanted to do the same thing with his family one day. He rented this house for a week and enjoyed every single moment with his family. Perfect location, kid friendly house, and so much to do within walking distance. The house had everything we Needed and more. We will definitely be back.
