Everything was perfect! Beautiful and peaceful, clean. Wonderful location from Bar Harbor and Acadia. We loved everything about it!!

We spent a week in the fall at this property. Location was perfect for Acadia National Park and all the great restaurants in Bar Harbor. Cooked all but 2 breakfasts at the cottage—felt like home. Celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary around the fire pit in the backyard!

The property was clean, neat, comfortable and was so close to town and other activities. It was a great place to be!

This place was perfect for our stay - very clean, spacious and close enough to walk downtown.

The house was as described, very clean, well located, and well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed seeing deer on a daily basis and enjoyed our time there.

We stayed here for a week with our dog. Very clean and comfortable. Communication with the host was easy. Great location for getting around the island.

This home is amazing, comfortable, clean and convenient. We walked to Bar Harbor every day sometimes twice and access to the carriage road is also just a short walk away. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to staying again when we return to Bar Harbor.

First impression was the cleanliness of this property. It is in an excellent location close to the village and right next to Acadia. Very comfortable and great property for our dog. Nice yardage and decks for enjoying the space. I would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great house, comfortable, clean and perfect location. Nice to sit on the deck with some tea and watch deer and turkey go by. Easy to communicate with Sonja . Looking forward to our next visit.

The location is perfect for a walk or bike ride into the village, or walk or bike into the park. The house is in a quiet neighborhood just a mile and a half from Duck Brook Bridge. The house is very clean with a roomy kitchen and living area with an open plan. The shed was available to park a bike out of the rain and the back lawn was perfect for our dog. The area beyond the lawn was visited by deer every day. Our bed was comfortable. There is nothing more we could have wanted in our stay. We will be back here again soon.

Loved this house. Very clean, stocked with everything you need, great location, wonderful deck and back yard with fire pit. Both Acadia and Bar Harbor were a very short trip from the house. Owner was very responsive to our questions. We'd love to stay there again!

Loved this house. Very clean, stocked with everything you need, great location, wonderful deck. Deer and wild turkeys stopped by each day. Owner was wonderful and great at communicating. Can't wait to visit again.

The location is the real selling point. Coming from NYC it was a great change of pace. The house is literally adjacent to the park and a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive into town. Also, the home was so nice we just stayed in and cooked one of the days when it rained. Truly the best of all worlds: the outdoors, cozy home and town life.

This is the second time we've stayed at this property and we love it. It's in an ideal location literally across the street from Acadia National Park. Simply and beautifully decorated, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable and high-quality furnishings throughout. Lots of wonderful deck space. We love it and the property owners couldn't be better to work with!

The place was cozy, clean and comfortable. The location is the best as we rode our bikes from driveway into carriage roads of Acadia NP. My wife and I would walk into Bar Harbor from Sonja's home. Our weeklong stay was fantastic. Sonja was consummate host and would get back to you in a minute with any inquiries. The home included everything to make your stay enjoyable. Thank you Sonja. This property was exactly as advertised and was in a great location. It was close to downtown Bar Harbor but in a nice, quiet area. We saw deer in the backyard most days and four walking through on the last night. This house can comfortably accommodate 6 adults (two on pull out sofa). Will definitely be back and would highly recommend this property.

Everything was great. The location was perfect, right around the corner from both Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. The house had everything we needed, including a small shed to store the bikes we brought. We cooked in the kitchen and grilled on the deck, giving us a much needed break from eating out. We (+the dogs) hope to be back soon!

My husband and I were looking for something close to Acadia National Park, close to Bar Harbour center, pet friendly (our dog) and this house was it. It is close enough to all attractions but at the same time away from the hustle and bustle so we had a very nice relaxing stay. The house was very clean and accommodating. We were able to cook and relax when we did not feel like going out. There was a nice yard and deck which we enjoyed. We also loved the open concept, high ceilings, and lots of windows which made the house feel very bright and open. We cannot thank Sonja enough for providing us with many recommendations for the area. We really enjoyed our stay in Bar Harbour and cannot wait to come back. Thank you Sonja!!

Sonja is a wonderful host and very accommodating. The house is immaculate and contains all the necessary items for an extended stay. The house is not in the hustle and bustle of downtown and is easily accessible by the Island Explorer. As avid walkers, we even walked to town on two occasions. Also very close to the main visitor center for Acadia National Park. Overall a wonderful visit to Bar Haror and the surrounding area.

Spotless, beautiful house in a great location. Private and quiet, fully equipped, and a terrific base for visiting Mt. Desert Island. All the furniture was comfortable, and the living room is bright and sunny and roomy. The yard is beautiful, and the deck was a great spot for relaxing and eating lunch. Less than a mile from the center of Bar Harbor, but in a super quiet and private area. It's about a minute bike ride to meet up with the part of Duck Brook road that's closed off to traffic and the carriage trails around Witch Hole pond and connecting to Eagle lake. We had a terrific vacation and would stay here again in an instant! Sonja was a pleasure to work with.

We wanted to find a roomier place to stay near Bar Harbor than the hotel we stayed at during our last trip. This place was perfect! Loved the open layout and high ceilings in the living space, which made for a relaxing place to unwind in the evenings. We also cooked all but two meals (plus two packed lunches) at the house and had everything we needed. The grill was clutch! The location was close enough to Bar Harbor to pop in for groceries or to check out the town, but far enough outside town to avoid crowds and traffic. The house being dog-friendly was also so helpful. Our dog loved having a yard to hang out in while we sat out on the deck. The only thing not stocked (or we didn’t see them) was soap and shampoo/conditioner, but we always bring our own anyway.

We just returned from our stay in Bar Harbor and had an amazing trip with our 2.5-year-old son and our dog. Sonja's home is very nicely maintained with everything you need for a family stay. We loved that we were a short walk to enter the park and could easily walk into town.

This home was wonderful: there were skylights, glass doors, and each bedroom had its own deck. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The yard was well-kept and everyone loved staying there.

Spent two fabulous weeks here! Was a little nervous as there were no ratings, but so glad we did it! Fabulous house, and so close to town! We’ll be back next year!

We stayed in this house for a week to visit Acadia NP. The location was very convenient- just minutes from the park entrance. The house was very clean and comfortable, communication with owner was prompt and easy. We would love to come back to Acadia and stay again in this house.

We loved our stay from start to finish! My husband and I plus my son, daughter-in-law, 6 month old grand-daughter and family dog were very comfortable in Sonja's home. We loved the easy access to the park as we all are avid hikers. Our kids also rented bikes to ride in the park and in the evenings we enjoyed sampling Bar Harbor's many and diverse bars and restaurants. Our favorites were This Way Café , Havana and Two Cats. Sonja's home was clean and comfortable and if our travels bring us back to Bar Harbor we would absolutely want to stay there again!!!
