This cottage was perfect for me and my teenage daughter to explore Donegal county. It was centrally located so that we could go to the town of Donegal, Dunkineely, Slieve League, Ardara, Carrowmore, and the list goes on.… Beautiful mornings everything we needed inside the cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend! The sheep in the backyard where icing on the cake!

We‘d just loved it - the Setting, the House, just everything!

It was lovely and very peaceful.

We spend very nice 2 weeks at Bridge Cottage. A full and cosy equipped house history and with much place around, calm and in a very interesting region, with Donegal towns close by (Killybegs, Ardara, Donegal etc.). Altogether a very successful and instructive stay, we were in Ireland for the first time, surely not for the last time.

We loved staying in this cozy cottage in the country! Exactly what I envisioned for a quaint Irish cottage! The check in process was easy and Sue was lovely. We enjoyed exploring along the wild Atlantic way and having fresh seafood in Killybegs.

A one-of-a-kind experience! Our stay in the cottage was comfortable and so relaxing. While we didn't meet Dolly, there were plenty of sheep in the green fields nearby (as well as a donkey). The cottage was clean and cozy and easy to navigate, with a well-appointed kitchen that made cooking simple. The back patio was a perfect place to sip coffee or a Guinness after exploring the local beaches and trails. While we didn't use the stove, the living room was a comfy space for a night of reading more about Northern Ireland. We hope to come back!

Great things can come in small sizes!
So comfortable, well maintained, the kitchen had absolutely everything, the lounge was so cosy, the bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! Will be visiting again.

Very nice location and property and it was just as described. Thanks!

The cottage was as adorable as advertised. Complete with sheep greeting you in the morning and beautiful grounds all around you. The road is a little bit nerve wracking to drive down, but you can park off the road which is nice and somewhat rare in Ireland. Make sure you grab food to eat before you arrive or plan on driving a bit to locate some as there is not a lot in the immediate area.

We really enjoyed our stay - the cottage is well equipped and furnished very much in keeping with the style of the house with warm colours and traditional furnishings. Great location with countryside peace and quiet but close enough to beaches and to the fantastic wild Atlantic way coastline. Highly recommended

We really enjoyed our stay in this traditional cottage. The place warmed up pretty quickly and we were very comfortable there. We truly enjoyed the visit from the two cute sheep, Dolores and Hope. They would come to the fence every day when we went out.
It was a great place and everything was ready for us when we got there.
4.7
The cottage is beautiful and our stay was restful and relaxing. Even with the unusually cold and wintery weather, we were cozy as the cottage has a fire which added to the traditional atmosphere.
It was everything we hoped for!

I was in Ireland for a work trip and took some extra time for myself to see the countryside. The cottage served as a wonderful temporary home while I hiked and saw the sights.
My only nitpick is that the shower water pressure is almost nonexistent lol, but the electric heater works well and at least keeps the water hot, so it’s quite manageable.
Loved the quiet and the dark. Beautiful and relaxing.
(Finding the place was a lot of fun, like a scavenger hunt. If you follow the instructions, you shouldn’t have any trouble).

We came from Portaferry, from a very large, very modern new place with huge windows and skylights right on the ocean, so I noticed right away that the cottage wasn't as 'bright'...but was SO COZY! Everything worked just fine, the owner/staff were easy to work with, and it was just so wonderfully inviting.
Plus, there were lots of kitchen supplies, and I got to make bread while we were there, and my sister made bread pudding the next day with the leftovers. We ate great, with a well-equipped kitchen at hand.
Killybegs was really interesting and we ate at the Ahoy and had VERY fresh fish. We walked out to St. John's Lighthouse, which gave us a better idea about Donegal Bay, and we also visited Donegal and the O'Donnell castle there, and took the Fairy Walk along the Eske. Wow.
I think this part of our trip will be the part I have enjoyed the most.

Beautiful, updated thatched roof home. The thought and care that has gone into this vacation home is evident. All of the information needed about the house was provided in a well organized binder. Kitchen and other supplies are well stocked, the decor is lovely, in particular, the woolen fiber art hanging throughout the house. Fitting with the 2 resident sheep out the back door.

The house was cosy and charming. Such a great kitchen with all you need
We loved the backyard with wiev over field

Sue and her caretaker Anne are both extremely easy to get information from including the areas of interest in the area
The cottage is cute and very cozy. Very well set up kitchen, comfortable beds, and very warm and inviting. And you get your own adorably cute sheep to spoil. My family fell in love with the area, the cottage and the sheep. We threatened to steal it (he wouldnt fit in our luggage though). If youre into nature and amazing locals this is the place for you!

This is the sweetest little Rustic cottage. Everything you need; nothing you don’t. Good WiFi, very responsive host, excellent communication, and very clear instructions left in the house to explain how to use EVERYTHING. Also, excellent tips and suggestions for things to do in the area. We used this cottage as a home base for our explorations and day trips throughout the area. It’s in a wonderful location. Remote enough to feel the tranquility of the lovely countryside, but close enough to everything for a quick trip to grab snacks, a pint, or anything else you might want.

The cottage was as pictured outside. Upon opening the door a musty damp smell and cold. Night storage heaters do not warm up until the next night. Our first night was extremely cold as temperature had dropped. “Towels” we do not think that 1 towel each over 4 nights is adequate and towels marked to start with. On entering the property we saw the presence of a spirit a black haired lady lying on the bed of single bed room momentarily. One last thing shower pressure very poor. Disappointed having to pay for rubbish clearance as on holiday and not had to do this before in 4 other cottages. Out of 5 properties we have stayed over 16 days this is the only one we have had to write a negative review for.Very disappointed as this was our 4 night stay the longest.

The cottage was wonderful, clean and perfectly located for our needs! Loved it!

If your looking for a wonderful, authentic irish thatched roof cottage with modern amenities this is a great option. Dottie the sheep likes her half slice of bread ever morning. Great location to beautiful beaches and hikes. 20 min drive to Donegal town which my wife and i loved. Great pub/bars, live music, restaurants and shop's. Home owner Sue provided a book which included tips for the home and area attractions, a great touch. Loved our stay!!

My sister and l found the cottage was just as expected. It was well equiped with comfortable beds.
It was also well situated to visit our family and catch up with the sights of our childhood. Lovely beaches near by.
We even had a friendly ram in the garden.

The cottage is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Susan was always very quick to respond, and the local caretaker is just down the road. Very helpful suggestions for outings and restaurants. We loved it and hope to come back!

We had a great stay. It is out of the way of places to visit so a car is necessary.

We had a lovely stay. Just a perfect, happy place on the inside and out.

This place was perfect for our week in the area. It was clean, neat, and nicely located. There was a ton of information provided in the cottage book if you're unsure of what to do in the area. Sue and Anne were kind and helpful. The sheep "neighbors" added a bonus. We would gladly stay here again!!

Gorgeous cottage with a lovely working wood stove in the sitting room. It was very clean and warm, and the 2 sheep who greeted us in the backyard were a wonderful addition to our stay. We had a very enjoyable stay and the owner and manager were very lovely to deal with. I would go back again to this lovely cottage called Bridge Cottage.

Staying in a traditional thatched cottage with a log burner in December was exactly what we needed to re-kindle our love of Ireland after being away for 3 years due to COVID and then Brexit.

Visiting in November we found this to be a very cozy thatched cottage, perfectly situated for exploring the local coastline. Sue has left really useful information about places to visit and places to eat. The beds were comfy, kitchen well kitted out and we enjoyed the warmth of the woodburning stove in the evenings.

We had a lovely stay in Bridge Cottage. Everything worked very well. It was cozy, clean and very well looked after. My 92 year old mother really loved the place too. Thank you

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sue’s cottage. The cottage is well located for visiting lots of places, we loved the wild beaches and thought Muckross Head was awesome. The cottage was comfortable and welcoming, very well maintained, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Sue was very helpful with any queries that we had and the key pick up and drop off was easy. A most enjoyable stay.
4.7
The cottage itself is a classic thatched roof home, located in a spectacular area of Donegal. The cottage is well appointed, with loads of directions to be sure we know how to care for the house. We loved being there.

Our stay at Bridge Cottage was just what we needed—deep quiet and a well appointed home away from home, with welcoming sheep and neighbors. We took long walks along the road, and found our way around the peninsula by car thanks to the very helpful information in the Visitor’s Book in the cottage. We’ve been to a lot of rentals—this cottage had everything we needed and more… we know we’ll go back! Thank you, Sue and your wonderful caretaker Ann for a wonderful week.
