Gianfranco was absolutely amazing!! He went above and beyond to accomodate for us. He met us in Amalfi town and helped carry our bags to the accomodation! He also provides gluten free food for a coeliac guest!!

It was a very nice place and the history was very cool. It was the childhood home of the owner. GianFranco takes pride in providing his guests with a first class experience and was available to support us every time we asked for help.

Great location, amazing view! Lovely room, light, modern, comfortable and clean. Host was very helpful, especially with restaurant recommendations, places to visit and how to get there, Due to the location with the amazing views from the lovely rooftop where you can relax and eat breakfast,, there were quite a lot of stairs involved to get there. That's not really a problem as you have the option to order a porter to help with the luggage (at an additional cost). But it would be great to mention this in the description, so that older or handicapped people are aware of that.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The room had an amazing view of the town and the Sea. I’m out room was a smart tv so your Netflix could be used in the TV.

Due to regulations the breakfast is prepackaged so there is no hot prepared food. The host does his best to make it a good meal and serves you. Beware of some shops and get prices before you order if not posted. One in particular “Al Corso” gelatria Amalfi charged 17 Euro for two medium gelatos.

Nothing to not like! it is up many stairs which is expected for amalfi coast.

You need to climb 150 stairs to access the property which they conveniently neglect to mention in the actual property listing but instead have added to the host information, for a host that manages almost 100 properties.

Rude and inconsiderate management team that ignored the recommendation from the customer service team from booking.com regarding how to best handle our reservation issue.

Our stay at Casa Mao was fantastic. The accommodation is in the heart of Amalfi, in an excellent location, with an amazing view, especially from the roof top where breakfast is served! The room was spacious, very beautiful, comfortable and clean! It was stocked and cleaned daily! The breakfast was very good and satisfying: coffee, juice, yogurt, jams, nutella, croissants, cake, toast, crackers and many others! All very tasty! Gianfranco the manager of Casa Mao is very kind and helpful! He picked us up from the parking lot of Amalfi and took us to the accommodation, showing us around Amalfi and giving us information about everything we needed! I hope and look forward to going again! Value for money Thank you for everything ❤️

Gianfranco was a fantastic host - he gave us restaurant recommendations, helped us get a lemon tour (we were there in the off season and they didn't respond to our email), and made sure we had a handle on the transportation schedule. The room was huge, clean, and the bed was very comfortable! The breakfast consisted of prepackaged foods (bc of guesthouse regulations), and it was better than the one breakfast we took in the square - with a much better view. I'm convinced that Casa Mao has the best terrace in all of Amalfi! Oh! And make sure to check out Gianfranco's grandfather's impressive sculptures featured throughout the house. The hotel well worth the climb. We would definitely return.

Casa Mao is on the centre of Amalfi city. The view from the flat it is just breathtaking, morning breakfast was the favourite part of the stay as it was on the roof terrace The room was super clean and super nice. The pillows were absolutely incredible, making your sleep even more comfortable. Gianfranco the host is absolutely so helpful and he gave us some restaurant recommendation as well.

We were very happy with our stay at Casa Mao. Gianfranco was a very friendly host, he also accomodated our special dietary requirements for breakfast (gluten free). The house is very tastefully renovated, we especially liked the modern bathroom facilities. the view from the roof terrace was absolutely beautiful.

The room we stayed in did not have a view, since the window was very high up (due to the outline of the house), but we did not spend too much time in the room during the day anyway, so it did not really bother us.

I saw the fantastic hotel with lists of excellent reviews when we’re booking. When we checked in Casa Mao is 100 percent exceed our expectations. Decorations in my room are amazing, views are fabulous - better than the pictures shows on booking. And the manager Gianfranco is sooooo nice!

Beautiful views of Amalfi and the sea from our room at Casa Mao. Gianfranco is a great host with excellent communication and is very welcoming. Our room was spacious & comfortable. The B&B is a short walk uphill from the piazza. We would definitely return to Casa Mao & Amalfi.

this property is lovely. I stayed in the suite with a sea view. I would 100% recommend this to friends and family. the host met me at the port and carried my suitcase up the steps to the guesthouse, which was very kind. he was very helpful and informative. he went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed and recommended restaurants, transfers etc the room was spotlessly clean, very spacious and the private terrace was huge! (not really shown in the pictures)
