Enjoyed our stay and immediately felt comfortable in this well kept beach bungalow house with Crate & Barrel esthetic decor. Beds were extremely comfortable and it was nice having a small fenced backyard for our dog to relax in especially since the house is on busy PCH Hwy 1. There is a sizable front lawn that separates the house from the road but during high traffic hours even in the Winter time the road noise is intrusive enough that we kept the front windows closed. During the less busy times we could hear the surf from the ocean which was nice. A previous tip from another review recommending backing in to park on the driveway was very helpful when leaving the property. We loved being able to walk 1/2 a block down the road to the signal light which made it easy to safely cross the road where you can immediately either take the moderate stairs to the beach or walk along the bluff with unobstructed views of the coast and ocean. Extremely nice not to have to drive and look for parking. The manager was very nice and promptly addressed any concerns as well as gave us a wonderful tip on a local flower mart. I appreciated all the small conveniences that one sees in a property run by owner or family. It was nice having a full kitchen with large refrigerator, gas stove, and a Vitamix blender. However, we were rather disappointed in the lack of a lot of basic staples for cooking and the minimal dishware. A set of basic Corelleware would be much preferred to the small set of Melamine dishes which I would not microwave. We did not cook while we were there but I feel like I would need to bring some of our own cookware & supplies if we did. We are Foodies though so maybe have higher expectations. The floor plan with a nice new master suite converted from what used to be the garage makes it convenient for 2 couples as it can be closed off with a locking door and is situated on opposite sides of the house from the other bedrooms giving lots of privacy. Also having all the rooms on one floor made it easier for my elderly mother to visit with us during the daytime. A few minor hiccups but all in all had a most enjoyable stay in this charming bungalow.

The house was perfectly appointed in a great location: two blocks from the gorgeous beach beneath the cliffs— advise checking and going at lower tides. Close enough to get to markets and downtown restaurants and shopping, far enough away from crowds. Many houses in the neighborhood are undergoing teardown/ rebuild or major modernization and we encountered some disruption from such activity— we nevertheless felt right at home. Final note: the owner and manager were responsive and magnificent!

I've been using VRBO for a few years now. This property was one of the most comfortable and also very convenient to the beach and to everything else we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well organized and filled amenities. The photos show the house and yard just as they are. Beach goers will find long walkable beaches either to the north or south.

The Property is very pleasant to the eyes . The owners really do a fantastic job of keeping up the property . We loved the atmosphere the house gives off and the sound of the oceans waves is a plus as well. We loved the owners decorading style. My family was able to relax and unwind from all the stuff that has been going on this year. I thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home In my opinion you are top notch and you manage well

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the home was cozy, loved eating dinner on the back patio every night, walked across the street to beach every day and kids boogie boarded nonstop. We brought our pups and they loved their morning walk on the bluffs, and lounging in the shade of the beautiful Magnolia Tree in the backyard. The location is a bit removed from town, which was perfect for us. But, you are still only a quick 5 minute drive away from Carlsbad Village. The Carlsbad Outlets are also only about a 5 minute drive. The home is situated on Carlsbad Ave (which is actually part of the Pacific Coast Highway), so there is a lot of activity happening out front. I loved sitting on the front porch with a peek a boo view of the ocean, watching all the street traffic - on foot, bicycles and cars piled high with surfboards. We even saw a Unicycler ride by! It really makes you feel like you are in the thick of the beach community. And when you want to step away for peace and quiet, the backyard is waiting with twinkle lights and beautiful landscaping. Our host, Tamar, was responsive and extremely accommodating. We would love to visit again!

Our week stay was so relaxing that we didn’t want to leave on checkout! The home is well equipped and the large back yard was perfect for our little Yorkies to run around. Tamar was very responsive to our needs.

We absolutely loved this house! It was so nicely decorated, furnished and very, very comfortable all around (beds, sofa, towels, kitchen stuff, etc). The view of the water in front was more than we expected, and the walk to the beach was so easy. We really enjoyed exploring the tide pools in the morning, and later on we'd drive a couple minutes to the beach closer to town. It's just 5-10 minutes to Legoland, and we opted to take UberX as that was cheaper than the parking fee. Since we like to drink, we also would Uber into town at night which was just about $5, so easy and convenient. Our favorite dinners were Campfire and Land and Sea company. Costco was super close, and Ralph's was an easy drive as well. The owner provided a large jug of drinking water, and laundry and dishwasher soap were available. The washer/dryer worked great and we were so happy to have that. Beach towels, chairs and toys were so nice to have on hand as well. Tamar was very responsive, friendly, and helpful, and we highly recommend this rental for anyone heading to Legoland or just wanting a relaxing SoCal experience.

We loved our stay in Carlsbad! The home was absolutely perfect for our family! Everything was clean and comfortable, we had everything we needed, and the owner was very good at communicating with us. We made the most of having easy access to the beach. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Carlsbad, and we would definitely stay at this property again! The house, facing Carlsbad Blvd, with the ocean and beach across the street, has all the amenities that make for a comfortable stay for two to three couples or a family with children. The kitchen appliances, including a gas stove with multiple burners and oven, a convection oven microwave, and a Vitamix blender allow for the preparation of complex meals if one is so inclined. The private backyard has a grill, lounge chairs, and a large outdoor table and chairs. There are bicycles, beach chairs, and umbrellas for guest use. Four decent-sized TVs, one in each of the three bedrooms and one in the living room, allow guests great flexibility in their viewing preferences. Having a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer is a great convenience. The place is clean and well-lighted, and the property managers attentive to any problems. The way the house is situated you have to back out of the driveway onto heavily-trafficked Carlsbad Blvd, but one quickly learns how to safely do that. All in all, a fine rental.

We so enjoyed this well appointed home with our daughter her husband 5,6 Yr old and 6 mo. Early morn 5 min walk to most beautiful quiet beach and tide pools amazing, home for breakfast and back to beach for afternoon .. watching surfers and enjoying every moment.... hope to return

We loved our time at the Beach House. Plenty of room, well stocked kitchen, beautiful bathrooms and a perfect back yard for the kiddos. We ate outside, walked to the beach and city park and slept in comfy beds. Perfect location for our trip to Legoland.

Our experince was exceptional. The house was so inviting, very clean, comfortable and the landscaping was just beautiful and well maintained...... Very accomidating in kitchenware. We were in Carlsbad for a family wedding at the Flower Fields which was less than two minutes away. Our extended family from Japan and neighboring states, we were able visit us the day after the wedding for simple lunch at the house. Abundent seating on the patio along with the dining area accomidated us all nicely for an afternoon visit, While the older children visited the beach. The Public beach access was just up or down the street. I was able to walk the beach in comfort and always felt safe. It amazed me to see so many people using the bike and walking path in front of the house. I am Nascar fan, so sitting on the front porch was heaven. Looking across to the ocean view, beautiful landscape and busy street ....I was perfectly happy. I highly recommend this house if you are visiting the Carlsbad area. (ps, my only suggestion if possible and not too much to maintain would be a wireless printer, in order to print boarding passes for those flying out, We were able to locate the nearest Fed Ex store to print them rather than spending $10 at airport.) We have stayed at many VRBO rentals over the years and this property is at the top of our list. Clean and everything we needed for our family........Beach toys a huge asset to our granddaughters....who are 9 and 4....Lovely safe and fenced backyard. We took Tamara's advise on Restaurants....we were not disappointed! The beds were great especially the pillows! This was important for "Nana" who has had back surgery! The house is centrally located for all our outings....Legoland and San Diego Zoo. We took advantage of the Coaster it beats dealing with heavy traffic and the price is right. Kudo's to Tamara for making our holiday a great experience! We will be back!

I love this home. It is very clean. The yard is immaculate. You can see the ocean when you sit in the front. The neighborhood is safe. Lots,of active people on Carlsbad blvd. We saw whales and dolphins from the cliff just north of cannon rd. We walked the beach just across the street. It was a surfers heaven. We did see the tide pools but winter is not the best time of year to visit them. Carlsbad village is so charming. We walked there every day. It's a 2 mile walk. There is a fish market in the Poinsettia mall about 2 miles se. I hated to leave. I hopened I can return next year.

This house is absolutely adorable, clean and homie. We felt very comfortable here during our 4 night stay. The appliances and kitchen were clean and in working order. We enjoyed the paths along the ocean for morning runs, and the town of Carlbad was friendly and easy to navigate. The house suited our needs better than we could have expected, and the homeowner was nice and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed the well kept lawn, trees and patio! What a great place to stay, highly recommended!

We had the best family vacation ever! The house was just the icing on the cake. It is beautifully decorated, extremely clean, and well equipped with all necessities. We were even fortunate that the owner lent us a high chair for our toddler and a play pin that saved us from carrying all the way from Texas. We spent so much time at the beach since it is across the street. We would definitely rent again! Well worth it!!

Lovely home to rent for your vacation. My family absolutely loved this house my teenage girls each had their own room with a tv. The back yard was so pleasant to relax in the comfortable lounge chairs, it was nice having a grill to use. Close to many attractions we went to Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Disney .The kitchen had everything that we needed. It was nice to just walk across the street to take a walk along the beach and watch the waves and surfers, and at night to watch the sunset. The house was extremely neat and clean. Would highly recommend this house for your vacation.

I had my concerns about renting from a stranger but when we arrived to the property I felt very happy and at ease. Everything was perfect and better than the pictures. Such a beautiful and comfortable home. We felt very relaxed and pampered by staying there. It's very close to the beach and you can even hear the ocean If you listen real close! We will rent this house again whenever we can. I love telling my friends And family about our great experience and would recommend this place to our loved ones.

This was the first time we rented a home walking distance from the beach. It was wonderful. All the amenties just like home. The home was super clean and decorated beautifully. The back yard is a paradise cooking on the gas grill, listening to the radio that was provided in the kitchen. It was heavenly. Each bedroom had it's own tv which made it really nice for all our different taste in viewing shows and walking across the street to the private beach every night to watch the sunset was beyond words to describe. Plenty of room to store our bikes in the back yard to go for a ride to the village for a treat. I look forward to renting this property again in the future. I would highly recommend it to everyone you will not be disappointed in any way
