No proper lightning in night to reach your property from main road

'Well appointed' as the other reviews say. Laidback. Good place to relax. Good access to the old city and the main attractions which are a short walk away. In the compound of Sharad baug palace, so that's one attraction right there.

Breakfast could have been a bit heartier. Aeroplane reverberations around 9 pm, but you get used to it.

The rooms and the beds were great and speacious, the property is well maintained, the staff and the owners were really helpful. The gardens are quite beautiful.

The breakfast could have been better and indoors since its pretty cold to eat outside in winter morning.

Really appreciate the kind gesture of host in providing us early check in and taking timeout to provide wonderful experience at stay in Sharad baug...really recommend everyone to stay here and experience calm,serene environment.. the property was maintained to the highest standards. the rooms were very spacious with personal swings for every room. Bathrooms were big and clean. hot was was available plenty.

A home away from home. Our very clean room had tea/coffee making facilities including an electric kettle. Packets of biscuits and chocolates - unexpected and appreciated. This property cares about the environment - a water fountain instead of plastic bottles and solar heated hot water. The softest pillows in India. A delightful rooftop terrace with chairs and a large swing. Quiet at night due to the location near the palace. Delicious meals with generous portions. Warm and helpful hosts. Don’t bother going anywhere else - we have no hesitation in recommending this homestay and would definitely return.

This homestay was perfect for us. We had the larger heritage room and it was very nice especially for a four night stay. We also ate dinner there nightly and it was some of the best Indian food I have ever had. Seriously great! A quiet place to hang out. Everyone there was sweet, caring and responsive to our needs.

Beautiful surroundings....morning walk in the forest with birds chirping was excellent. Breakfast was very nice - simple and homely.

Peaceful location with the forest around. It was a different experience than staying in a hotel as the location was surrounded by natural Inhabitat.

The property is centrally located, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are very tastefully done and give a heritage feel, taking you back in time. There is ample space to stroll around and it's an ideal place if you are seeking for a calm and quiet stay. The hosts are very kind and welcoming.

Location of the place is a quiet place, tucked away in a corner of a large campus. The family runs the homestay - and they have made a separate wing containing some rooms - next to their residence. The rooms are quiet. The breakfast is served at their residence dining room - which is a treasure-house of old artifacts. The breakfast is great - very nice, home-cooked fare. The key host - Trishulini - is very helpful with her quick responses, and accommodating any possible requests. She is helped by her two brothers. And her mother supervises the food arrangements, and has some great stories about the family's past.

The location is slightly removed from the city. That was a good thing for us, but might not be preferred by some.

Convenient location, close to the lake and landmarks, amazing garden setting and located within the complex of the historic, remarkably designed Sharad bagh palace complex. Spacious, well furnished rooms, huge bathrooms and lovely garden seats and swings with provision for a bonfire. Terrific, delicious breakfast, again in a garden setting, beautiful walks in the huge grounds, and very pleasant hosts. A wonderful base to explore this fascinating area of Kuchh.

We had an excellent stay at Sharad Baug Homestay in Bhuj. The Owner welcomed us personally and whole family took special care which is rare to get nowadays. Breakfast was homely and tasty. Surrounding is filled with greenery. We stayed there for a night but it was so comfortable that we will plan to stay for few more days in future. One should plan for longer stay to enjoy Sharad Baug Homestay.

Beautiful rooms and even more beautiful spacious bathrooms. The verandah outside the rooms with the swings and chairs is also an added attraction. The family is very gracious and welcoming. They prepared and served nice home cooked breakfast out of their own kitchen. They also helped us with tips about touring their town. Absolute value for money with an experience of living with a Royal family!!

A Wi-fi in the room would have been helpful since cellular data network was sometimes difficult to get through.

It was an exceptional stay, a piece of heaven in the centre of Bhuj

Breakfast was absolutely spot on and we enjoyed it a lot! The host family themselves were preparing and serving and they made sure everything was to the spot perfect. Excellent breakfast! And the location was right in the heart of the city, couldn't have asked for a better location.

If we could have got wi-fi facility it would have made it a perfect homestay option. Nonetheless, loved the stay and will definitely visit again once I am in Bhuj the next time.

We liked everything about this place. The rooms, the surroundings, hospitality and the early morning breakfast.

There was nothing that we didi not like.

It had great amenities and the fact that it was nestled within the greens, right in the middle of a rather dry city. the hosts - Mr Shakti and Mr Anirudh were super and helped us with everything. made us feel at home with great food and comforting background of the property and the royal family.

We had a wonderful stay here. The homestay is located inside the Sharad Baug Palace compound, surrounded by many acres of greenery, farms, beautiful palaces, and ruins. The palace compound is serene and peaceful. Our early morning walk through the property was an amazing experience with all the birds, cool breeze, greenery everywhere, and the freshness of the air. The entire property, including the common lobby, outdoor areas, and the rooms, is full of small & big things of historic value. There's enough parking space, in case you are driving to this place. Our rooms were spacious, clean, well-stocked and very well maintained. The beds were comfortable and we all had good sleep. The bathrooms were spanking clean and felt fresh. Our breakfast, including the local sweets, methi theplas and aloo sabzi, was fresh and delicious. Our hosts (members of the Kutch royal family) were gracious and looked after all our needs.
