Clean, very central and kitchen well equipped..

Bathroom needs upgrade and bedrooms need plastering and facelift. Dinning table chairs need to be replaced.

The kitchen was super equipped and there is a pleasant terrace. The towels were nice. Parking was easy and it is a convenient location.

The house is unfortunately behind a huge set of hotels blocking any view. The windows are only on one side of the house so it is impossible to get a cross breeze and so it keeps humidity in. The dehumidifier makes the bedroom hot. When we were there there was an invasion of ants even on the beds.

Location. As expected.

The top bedroom was a little bit too hot.

The localization was perfect, really close to Portas do Mar (Ponta Delgada bay) The house, a triplex with good areas, had everything you need for a family: washing machine, all kitchen appliances, great wifi network, ... Graça, the host, was always available to answer our questions, specially now with the CV19 rules changing every week. She also gave us great restaurant tips :)

The street parking is paid (8h to 19h on business days and Saturday morning), not a big issue if you are planning to travel by car around the island, if not you may count with ±8€/days of extra cost. Sound proof might be an issue for more sensitive persons. The house is not in a busy street, but you can clearly hear seagulls, dogs, people talking outside, cars passing, ...

Check-in 24h, location and space

Slightly outside the main historic centre and main bus stops, but still only about 8 mins walk away, it's very very handy for the swimming area in the harbour, a real bonus for us. Comfortable but basic. Key pickup very easy from a locked box by the front door.

For the price we wouldn't have expected a second bathroom but there were times it would have been handy. There was a slightly persistent smell in the kitchen area which I think is likely temporary and caused by a lengthy period of non-use during the covid crisis.
