The layout of the room. There was an exceptional view from a floor to i ceiling window, but nowhere to sit and appreciate it without moving a very heavy settee. The view from where it was positioned was on to the brick wall of the old racecourse stand . It took two of us to move it to a better position. A n easy chair by the window was all that was required.

Rooms are of a good standard. Arrived after dark, opened the curtains in the morning for a full view down the back straight of the racecourse, doesn't get much better than that. Didn't have the breakfast.

Easy to check in and check out.

I didn’t like that the kettle wasn’t clean and it had limescale. Travelling with a baby under 1 year old and having to prepare formula wasn’t ideal to boil water in that kettle. However, staff at the restaurant were accommodating with providing fresh boiling water from the restaurant for free.

Fourth time here and the standards haven’t fallen. Spotless. Stylish. Lovely views over the racecourse. I way out from town but excellent nonetheless.

A lack of seating in the bar area meant we had to sit in the lobby. Minor issue but could be better set out.

The view from room 420 was unreal we were not expecting that at all Thank for a wonderful 2 days and nights

Staff were absolutely delightful. The hotel itself is just spectacular. The room was lovely and had everything you could need. Bathroom couldve done with a little more cleaning but nothing major!

Bathroom was a little unclean, marks in the shower and on the toilet seat. However this did not effect my stay.

Efficient, professional staff. There was not any instructions in the room on the heating system.

The fact they added parking charges of £5 per day which weren’t advertised . Also £15 extra on top of the room charge for breakfast is a bit of a rip off to be honest .

room. shower and bath ...water pressure on top floor is low therefore took a very long time for bath to foll to a small level

The fact I had to spend 10 minutes proving I had booked for the weekend then being charged twice for the room only to be told it's not an issue!! They then went on to say it should be in my account with 5 working days..... Their mistake and they very little interest in it
