Overall great house plenty of room for everyone. Great location. You do need to check pair of exterior doors on one bedroom will not lock and the push down safety bar would not function properly. Still throughly enjoyed the visit and would definitely come back.

The Men had a great time. Mr. Griffin was an excellent host.

The first night we arrived we had no running water so we couldn’t use the restroom, take showers, or wash our hands. I noticed other bad reviews but decided to ignore them, I wish I hadn’t😔. I would recommend everyone to chose a different house there is plenty in Galveston. When asked if we could receive any kind of compensation for our night without water, we were denied. I showed him pictures of us having no water and having to buy gallons of water at the gas station, they didn’t seem to care. So now I know it takes 2 gallons to fill up a toilet tank to flush, and at 2.50 a gallon it cost my 5 dollars a flush. I know the city was having water issues but as a owner to not step up and do everything possible to make their guest feel better, is very sad to see.

The kids loved the beach and the adults loved the home. It was very clean and cozy. Perfect for large families

House was as advertised. Definitely needs some tlc here and there but overall we had a great trip.

House is beachfront and had a small path directly behind in the dunes to access the beach. Lots of beds and bathrooms for a big group to use. No mosquitoes at all at the house and beach during my groups' stay. Plenty of parking spaces at the house. Downsides are AC in living room sucks, temperature in living room never got below 79 and was around 81 most of the time. There is no ventilation installed in the kitchen, so cooking made the living room even more hot and stuffy. Windows were barely usable and hard to open/close. Blinds had broken pieces and gaps. Living room bathroom door did not have a working doorknob from inside. Doors to the outside have cracks and noticeable gaps in them. There were cockroaches roaming around at night, had to kill 1-2 cockroaches a night. House is need of touchups on AC, doors, windows, and pest control.

Property is in NEED of repair. Stair treads loose and squeaky. My husband fell and had to have stitches on his leg from faulty staircase. Black mold in kitchen and back bath. TV’s did not work. Dryer did not work. Refrigerator is iffy. Definitely hit and miss. Location. Is fabulous. The property management is a complete joke. Very unresponsive. Wanted to text instead of getting someone out to address multiple problems. Definitely not worth your money. There are cracks that show daylight on the doors. The back door is loose and floppy. As is the front door. Not a good place to stay. Worst house weve been in!!!!

I would like to start by saying the location is great! It’s right off the beach. This is a driveable beach so that can be a positive or a negative depending on your outlook. It was really convenient for loading up your gear and getting it to the home. The house has charming decor and some updates. We really liked the bunk room for kids. Bathrooms were and counters were clearly cleaned, but there were some issues that I did let the host know about. I did not receive a response so I thought it best to let potential renters know some things we wish we had known. - the side stair rail was broken upon arrival. It was splintered and in my opinion unsafe for young and old to use. - walls are stained and dirty. This wasn’t terrible but the house definitely needed a good deep clean. - exterior doors had wide gaps. We found several roaches and ants on the property. I imagine this is how they are getting in - main floor bathroom door doesn’t close, and kitchen cabinets are are in poor condition. Overall, we were there one night so it worked, but I probably wouldn’t rent again.

My husband, our children and grandchildren, a niece and 2 children, a nephew, a cousin, his wife, and their 3 boys all spent the weekend on this property. The sleeping arrangements worked well for us. A path across the dunes to the beach has been made, so we could go directly from the property.

Beautiful location for a quick get away from Houston. Perfect amount of bedrooms and beds for a weekend with friends. Great communication with our host.

My group of friends and our teenagers enjoyed this house! The bunk rooms were perfect and the two master suites worked out so well for us. Well-stocked with kitchen utensils and all the basics needed to prepare multiple meals. Excellent communication with property manager during and before our stay.

I recently stayed at this rental home directly on the beach and it was an amazing experience. The location couldn't have been better - we had instant access to the beach and could hear the sound of the waves from our room. The house was clean and comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed for a great stay. We spent most of our time lounging on the deck and enjoying the ocean views.

My family and I loved our stay at this place! Being so close to the beach was exactly what we wanted, and we enjoyed being able to walk to the beach in less that a minute. The home is larger than it appears from the outside and gave us plenty of space to spread out and relax. This was a truly great stay and we'd love to come back!

House is spacious and location is great. However, house is dated and definitely has a roach problem. Many bugs in kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen is not fully stocked with measuring cups, baking pans, etc. Was a bit disappointed at the conditions considering the price.

Very fun house if you have a large number of kids that can use the big room with 6 bunk beds. We did and everyone had a blast. The house is right on the beach. The beach itself was very nice. Clean and shallow for quite a length. However, the place is ridden with mosquitos, esp near the grassy areas. We went during a week where we had just had heavy rains, so there was water accumulated in the grassy, low areas which attracted a lot of mosquitos. Lots of bug spray was used!! The beach itself didn't have mosquitos. Overall would highly recommend the property and the beach to families.

We had an amazing time at this darling property which is close to everything! The house was clean and it truly has its own personality. It’s right on the beach and we had no problems whatsoever the entire stay. I would recommend the pizza place down the street if you don’t want to cook. The staff was awesome and the food (they serve a lot more than pizza) is super good! There were 20 of us and the house fit us all perfectly.

The floor plan and location of this property are fantastic. Lovely view right on the water. It had plenty of kitchen supplies for a large group. The house had been cleaned very well however there is very obvious water damage that has not been repaired as evidenced by mold in the cabinets, the smell of mold, soggy flooring that feels like it might push through on the main area. There were also roaches killed in multiple rooms every day which bothered the children. We typically stay on beachfront properties and were disappointed in the lack of upkeep and maintenance on this property as we have stayed in plenty of nicer places in the same price point or even a little less. Way overpriced for what you get. Hoping that this helps the owners with updates definitely not trying to bash because it's such a great floor plan and location!!! Thank you for our time there.

Wow, what an incredible home, gorgeous views, and great hosts! I've stayed here before, and was really looking forward to bringing my entire family this year!! Well, they all loved it!! You can't beat the size of this house, the access to the beach, the stylish, but cozy furniture and beds, and the weather was perfect!! Loved every minute here!

Don’t let the rating fool you . The house is not worth the money. The A/C on both floors does not work. It was 81 in the house all weekend. Even when they come out and put Freon in it , it worked a few hours. We had people leave a day early. The refrigerator does not cool good. No ice maker, shelves missing . The shower works terrible, knobs are loose and don’t work correctly. The kitchen cabinets are in very ruff shape and stick. They don’t have the complete blender. Oven doesn’t work good , paint job is terrible, doors stick. I could go on and on. This is the first bad review I’ve ever given in hopes to help someone not waste their money.

The location and proximity to beach were amazing. However we had to wait 20 minutes past check in time for cleaning service to finish, code we were provided to access key didn't work and we had to call to get different code, cockroaches in kitchen and bathroom, bunk beds in one room didn't have frame in bottom bunks, property needs maintenance and upgrading, bathroom stopper and shower cutoff didn't work, floors need replacing. This is a beautiful property but for the price needs to have major upgrading done inside.

We had a wonderful stay to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The house is great and has lots of room and the location has direct beach access. Would rent again!

Overall I was very pleased with my stay. The property was very clean and the house is exactly as in the pictures. The owner was very responsive when I had questions. The only con is that you are only allowed 8 cars on the property. We had 9 cars but there was a Jamaica Beach officer that was nice enough to allow us to park the 9th car in the parking lot of the city hall overnight and we were thankful. We did contact another beach house owner to rent their driveway and they were going to allow us to for free but the house was about 5 minutes away. Again, I was very pleased and my group was also pleased.

The experience from start to finish was great. Beach house accommodations were great and provided the family with a good time. Long overdue and will book another trip within the next year.

This house has the best view of the ocean and a great patio. It’s perfect for families with lots of kids. We will stay here again for sure!!

This was our second time staying at this property and it was great again! Salute to the owner and we definitely hope to stay again.

Very cute place, we enjoyed it. Had Horrible weather for the entire weekend and We were inside all weekend. Oven did not work but mgmt co sent us a toaster oven.

The property location is amazing. Loved the deck chairs overlooking the beach. Sunrises were beautiful. Access to the beach was tricky due to the leftover debris from the recent hurricane. We had to carefully navigate the walkway from the unit to the beach.

I will say the bedrooms were nice and the furniture was overall nice, but the kitchen, floors, cabinets, baseboards, etc. was very rough around the edges. You would open up the cabinets and you couldn’t even tell how old they were. The oven was completely rusted and did not even function. The fridge did a horrible job at cooling things down (this is stated in the communications from the owner). Almost every gap in the floor was peeling up and needs to be replaced. It felt like they just painted over the problems and put the house up for rent. Charging this much per night is an insult when basic renovations like these are ignored. Would not rent again.
