The people at the camp ground were incredibly nice and helpful! It was a peaceful stay at a beautiful location. There isn’t anything fancy about it but it is nice and very clean and maintained. The communication of guest responsibility’s was clearly stated and made our first excursion out of hotels and restaurants on vacation—-a wonderful experience

Everything was just as pictured. Easy check in and out. Well stocked with dishes and even extras like sone ground coffee and creamer for your first pot! Host had 2 box fans, extra pillows, blow dryer, and bedding if anyone wanted to sleep on the futon.

This was such a wonderful, quiet, peaceful, and serene location. We will definitely be returning. Everything was clean, orderly, functional, and cozy. We couldn’t have been happier. Thank you!

This location is perfect if you're visiting to see National Parks and sight seeing! The cabin was comfortable and it was quiet.

We would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Very impressed with the cleanliness and the feeling of home. Very helpful staff. It was quiet and has a beautiful park only a block away that you could spend all day at. It was also about 15 minutes from all the sights we went to. The only drawback was there is no dining area inside for more than 2 people. There were 5 of us and we were lucky and we had clear skies to sit at the picnic table.

Experience at this place and the easability was outstanding. The cottage was spot on. Was exactly what we were wanting. Close to alot of sites that we wanted to see and do. Thank you for such a great place. And the most important is it was peacefully quiet.

Great location, ER did all the usual black hills destinations. Dated but clean and perfect size for family of 6. Nice to have a full kitchen and grill. Cost was about right compared to what two hotel rooms would have cost.

This was very nice campground. Very clean and well maintained. Quite and in a great location. Management was very hospitable, easy to work with and helpful in pointing out local places and shortcuts.

Wasn't fancy, but we didn't expect it to be. Beds were comfortable with plenty of towels. Convenient to many tourist attractions but still able to explore Rapid City as well.

Super clean! We couldn’t have asked for a better cabin/location for our family of 5!!!

We enjoyed staying here for a couple of nights to do our favorite things in SD. It is easy to get to Bear country and Reptile Gardens without as long of a drive if you stayed in Rapid City proper. While it is a bit rustic, this was a better choice than a hotel room as we had 5 people and needed more space. The one bathroom wasn't really any problem as I thought it might be. I failed to notice in the listing that there was not a kitchen table inside which would have been nice for playing cards at night, but we made it work with end tables. Nice area to walk around, and there is a neat Scandinavian chapel just up the road you can visit. Everyone at the camp was nice, both staff and guests.

Nice location, clean, helpful staff....

The layout was good and clean. It needs new towels and better soap. The smell of pets was so bad from the carpet and the window AC that we did not come back until after 9:00 every night.

Clean, convenient location

We loved the little cabin but didn’t spend much time there as we were out sightseeing. Wish we would have had another day to spend time around the water.

Great place to stay and explore The Black Hills.

We stayed in the cottage on a last minute road trip to get away from crowds. While the campground seemed fairly booked we were able to enjoy our own space. It was comfortable and we enjoyed having the picnic table in front of the cottage to enjoy our meals on. I use a wheelchair and was very happy there were no stairs to get into the cottage and I could access the bathroom. There was a listing error requiring us to have to move from one cottage to the other the next night, but they offered to move our things for us and it was not a problem at all. Glad we found this place to stay as part of our road trip. Nice lake to walk to from the campsite.

We found this property to fit our needs perfectly. It was well kept and situated perfectly to get to all of the attractions (Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Devil’s Tower, etc) while also being close enough to go get groceries. Our week stay was fantastic and Scott was always very responsive when we sent him a message or had a question. The lake at the campground was nice and the playground was perfect for our two boys (1 and 2)...

Relaxing and location perfect

We were very pleased with the cabin. It’s in a beautiful location. My only regret is that we didn’t have enough down-time to really enjoy the place! The cabin was fully stocked. Loved how many towels it was stocked with. No worries about using them all! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for others.
