Our family just returned from two weeks in Barbados and we couldn’t be happier. Emerald Pearl is a beautiful, well-equipped apartment in one of the best areas of Barbados. We frequently used the transit system to go up and down the west coast, but loved having Jordan’s close by, and walked to the fish market on several occasions. Our children spent hours in the private pool which is large and beautiful. Louise was very helpful and communicative leading up to our trip. As others have mentioned here, Denise is a truly wonderful person who made a great stay even better. We’ll happily recommend this property to our friends and hope to be back soon!

Emerald Pearl was the perfect spot for our family of 5 - including two teens and Grandma. The villa was the perfect size, and incredibly well appointed. Beautiful decor, comfortable beds, and all the kitchen equipment you could ever need. Denise was exceptional, and Louise was excellent with communication. Especially appreciated, was Louise's flexibility in accommodating an additional night when our flight was canceled due to weather at home. Stanley was equally as flexible in both the pick-up and drop off at the airport, even driving us on Christmas so we could make our new flight! The neighborhood kept us busy - great shopping in Holetown, and boating excursions from the beach there (Good Times Too is highly recommended). Cala Roca was exceptional, and Il Tempio and La Cabane were delicious! All within walking distance. The road can be a bit tricky to navigate by foot, as the sidewalks are narrow and the road busy, but with a little knowledge on how best to navigate, it's easy to learn - just something to be aware of if traveling with small children (our teens were fine). Buses are aplenty, and a fun experience all on their own. The residents of Barbados were so very friendly, and helpful as we learned our way. The beaches are beautiful, and we floated in the ocean most days. An absolutely wonderful vacation, and we are so thankful to have stayed at Emerald Pearl. Thank you Louise, Denise, and Stanley!

Perfect spot for our girls trip. Excellent communication with the property - SO accommodating even getting us groceries prior to our arrival. Absolutely LOVED Denise the housekeeper we just had the very best time. A few restos close enough to walk to and the buses make it very easy to get around and check out different beaches. 10/10 would recommend.

A wonderful family vacation home. Clean, modern beautiful back patio the private pool. Is a plus. This is a gem, I’ll be back. Denise was very welcoming, such a wonderful person. The only downside is you must cross a busy street to get to the beach, be careful when crossing, both directions are on a curve.

Imagine traveling 12 hours, finally seeing a bed, you lift the sheet and there's a blood stain. Luckily for them I can't post the pictures. Good thing there's 3 rooms. Was woken up a few hours after arrival by the pool man who decided to let himself in. Apparently this is normal because he wasn't the only one to just walk right in. The host stated in the welcome letter that Denise, the housekeeper, would be out with covid and we'd have another lady. Guess Denise didn't get the memo because she decided to just let herself in, she had to unlock 2 doors to get in, with no mask. When I questioned her she told me, "I didn't know if she was sick or just had a baby!" I seen Denise at the beach later that day with her boy friend and he decided he wanted to say a few words to me. Imagine someone having the audacity to blame you for not wanting to be around someone who didn't finish their 10 day quarantine. Also, the lock for the backgate is a rock. The front gate, which has a code on it, was left open the entire time I was there. It's a nice house though

We loved the Emerald Pearl! The private pool was lovely, although we spent most of our time at the beach. You do have to cross a busy road to get to the beach path, but is it about a 1 minute walk. There is a market within walking distance. We originally decided not to rent a car, but decided after 2 days it would much more convent. Our villa was extremely clean and Denise kept it that way the entire time. Denise is delightful and kind. We would gladly stay here again!

This is a beautiful villa, finished to a very high standard, which feels like a home. Everything you could want is provided and the housekeeper is amazing. The listing does not do the quality of the property justice. We had one quibble, which was that there is no mention of the significant additional local taxes, but that was nothing really. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed getting up and down the coast on the bus!

What an incredible property..photos are lovely but it’s so much better when you get there .It has a well equipped kitchen beautiful bedrooms and gorgeous showers!!..and an excellent washing machine !…and it’s kept spick and span !!…see you again in January!

First off I wanted to say the reviews about Danise are correct, she's an absolute amazing person she treated and looked after us very well. The villa was very clean and fresh each day she very diligent especially important due to Covid times. We found the villa true to its word and described accurately with the listing. Amazing AC, comfortable large beds modern kitchen, small but effectively laid out with all the cooking items you need. Also a Washer and dryer to do your own laundry. We also enjoyed the pool area, seating area was comfortable with fans to keep you cool. There's also a pleasant view of the sea, it does back onto a main road but the noise cannot be herd from inside. Also the private walkway to beach is conveniently close. We loved the pool, it's a good large size for swimming and stayed warm throughout the day. We would like to see a indoor table (small 4 seater) as the breakfast bar isn't young child friendly. Other than that we would love to stay again and would recommend the villa.

There’s just so many great things to say about this unit! It was clean, it look like the pictures, it had everything we needed, and the host was very accommodating. Since we were visiting during the pandemic it was great that this Villa was approved for quarantine; so while in quarantine we were able to still use the pool and have a comfortable place to stay. The property management company also made sure that we had everything we needed for our quarantine and offered to go grocery shopping for us if we needed it. The beach was just across the street, there is the private pool and a community pool, a parking lot where we could park our rental car, and walking distance to a grocery store down the street. Not to mention, Miss Denise is a gem! I really have nothing negative to say about our stay at Emerald Pearl I just hope it is available next time I visit Barbados!

My family and I came over to Barbados once we had the green light from the UK Government and we choose this apartment in case we had to quarantine for a few days. It is a wonderful apartment with its own private pool and everything you can think of has been provided in the property. We immediately felt at home and Denise was a gem in making us comfortable. Booking the apartment was easy and Louise was always available to answer all my questions in the UK. The whole team at Island Villas were great. We cant wait to come back. The villa was very clean and well-maintained. Louise was always super-quick to respond and helpful. Denise, the housekeeper is a gem. My friends and I had a fabulous time. Bedrooms, linens, bathrooms, gathering areas, kitchen supplies, outdoor patio and pool were all lovely. It felt like our own private oasis. The neighborhood was well-situated in St. James, so not really any cruise tourists. It was a quick walk to a lovely beach, or the grocery store. Most places we went involved a mere 20-30 minute drive. Would love to come again!!

Emerald Pearl was our home away from home. We loved venturing out to nearby Batts Rock Beach & Fitts Village Beach every morning, and returning to the villa to enjoy the pool each afternoon. Making our own jerk chicken on the BBQ was an additional treat! The villa had everything we needed, and Denise was always on hand every morning to help ensure our stay was as relaxing as possible. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The unit is exactly as the description and pictures show. In fact, pictures do not do it justice. Property is very clean and very well maintained, close to the beach, restaurants and supermarket for everything you may need. I like the fact that it is a gated community and your own private pool. Denise, housekeeper is awesome. Very punctual (you can check the clock by her) and knowledgeable about the area and keeps everything in order. We were a family of 4 and it was perfect. She made our stay unforgettable. Definitely will come back

The villa is amazing! It’s clean, well supplied and the people you interact with (Ms Denisse, Mr. Stanley, Leah and Juanita) were all amazing and warm and made us feel at home! The pool was magnificent and being right across the beach was a treat!

We thoroughly enjoyed the condo and the private pool! Denise was great and Stanley the driver was perfect. Watch out for the taxi drivers taking advantage of you! The buses are inexpensive and always available but very crowded. The condo has a french press which is nice but could use a coffee maker for a larger group of 6 adults! The only other complaint we had was the pillows are super uncomfortable. (hard as a rock) Bring earplugs, as the frogs are super loud. HA! Also, could use some information for places to rent chairs and hang on a beach. We paid for a day pass at Waves across the street for $125/person, which was fabulous and all inclusive. Il Tiempo , across the street was so fun, provided us with chairs as long as we ate and drank there!! The food is delicious. Perfect place to spend the day. The condo itself is beautiful, great location and super convienent for everything. We had a great time!

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property, and we would return in a heartbeat. The outdoor living area was beautiful, the kids enjoyed the pool, and the beautiful beach (which even had trees for some shade) was so close and easy to access. The property was immaculately clean, with plenty of room for grandparents, parents, and kids. The owner was extremely helpful with arrangements for airport transportation and even a chef, and it just made planning our vacation so easy and stress-free. And the housekeeper Denise was welcoming and always helpful. We truly felt we were in paradise for a few days.

We had a lovely time at Emerald Palms. Louise and Denise made this trip a great experience. The house is extremely clean and the kitchen has all the amenities. The private pool was a great asset. One of the best outfitted rentals I have visited. Denise took great care of us and we can’t thank her enough for making our holiday special. She ensured our fridge was loaded with the groceries we needed to start our holiday, made sure the apartment was clean and tended to us with a smile but what was best about her was her great personality and helpful suggestions. Loved her! Would highly recommend this apartment.

A truly lovely, comfortable apartment inside and outside with everything we could wish for. We were greeted by the delightful and engaging housekeeper, Denise, who was kind and thoughtful throughout our stay and keeps an immaculate home. The property is in a Convenient location for the beach and buses and close to a large supermarket. Although there is a lovely large communal pool, we didn't need to use it as our smaller pool was perfect for us and bigger than most small pools. It was well maintained by the friendly pool man and the charming gardener was very happy to share his knowledge of all the beautiful plants and trees that were cleverly planned so that we could have a sea view and privacy. Although we spent a lot of time outside on the patio, the inside area was beautifully furnished with a large modern tv with many channels as well as a cd music system with a selection of cds. The beds were comfortable and fitted with plenty of wardrobe space and the two bathrooms had large walk in showers. The spacious patio also had a selection of comfortable seating as well as a barbecue and the bonus of a fridge and sink. My friends and I would recommend this property to anyone and hope to return in the not too distant future.

Staff was wonderful!! Stanley our driver is an untapped wealth of information regarding Barbados. The property was beautiful. Even had a unexpected visit from a group of monkeys. Taxis are highly recommended and priced reasonably. Walking on the road is a bit hair raising. But you can walk on the beach to the store which is lovely. Restaurants around the villa were also fabulous. Thank you. Everybody in our group raved about our stay. Two thumbs up!!

What can I say about this property... other than just amazing!! From the very beginning when I had questions about the location, distance from airport etc Louise emailed me back within minutes!!! She had some great recommendations and I immediately booked after speaking with her. This was a surprise trip to celebrate my husband's 40th. We're a family of four, two boys ages 4&6. We've never been to Barbados before so after reading the reviews and emailing Louise I booked this place. It was the best decision!! As soon as you walk in you realize you've made the right choice. The apartment is stunning, you feel your stress just melts away. Ms Denise, the absolutely amazing Ms Denise is there to greet you and show you around. My boys loved her and Stanley, who is worth every penny. He took us to Mullins beach, restaurants, and the fish fry on Friday. The apartment is a few minutes walk to a grocery store, it's a busy road and I was nervous with the boys but we managed. We were not impressed with the beach across from the house so we just asked Stanley to take us to another. Overall if you're looking for some place quiet, this is the place. You have everything you need in the apartment. My kids enjoyed the pool and had no desire to head to the beach. I love this place and will definitely be back!!!

We stayed for a week in September, and had a blast! Amazing property, great location. Top driver and maid, and above all like a home away from home! Brilliant!

It was so hard to leave this property on the beautiful island of Barbados. Emerald Pearl was the perfect home away from home during our recent vacation. Great location, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, wonderful outdoor living space and the most inviting pool! Denise, the house keeper, was a so welcoming and such a delight. Louise recommended Stanley for airport transfer. We also hired him during the week for an island tour. He was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Honestly, we could not have asked for a better experience overall! We hope to return and will certainly share this property listing with friends and family.
