We had a very comfortable and cozy stay at Sofia’s lovely house. The views and gardens surrounding the vila are just so peaceful and beautiful. The place has everything you will need for a proper big family vacation, incluiding things for the little ones.

We recently stayed at Sofia's beautiful villa for a week at the end of May with our family (two families of four with two kids aged 10 and two aged 12) and our parents. There was plenty of room for all of us - the villa is spacious and well laid-out so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other all of the time! We paid extra for the pool to be heated and we were so glad we had - it was a perfect temperature and it meant the kids were happy to play in it even when the weather wasn't great! We found the villa to be very well-equipped with plenty of utensils etc in the kitchen and very comfortable beds. We walked to the local beach a couple of times (quite a steep & sandy walk back) and enjoyed a meal at Nortada and pizza (take away and eat-in) from Roulote da Gigi. Sofia was really helpful in answering any questions we had while we were staying. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beautiful villa in a stunning part of Portugal and would love to come back one day.

Very comfortable property, with everything you need for a stay with friends, family and young kids. Heated pool and fabulous territory with magnificent views. A variety of beaches within 5 to 25min drive.

We had a fantastic stay. The villa has everything a family would need - including a cot and a high chair for our little one and a secure fence around the swimming pool. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and the views are spectacular. The photos don't do it justice! We would most definitely stay again.

We had an amazing week in the beautiful home of Sofia. The house and surrounding area was even more beautiful than on the pictures!! The rooms were absolutely lovely and the pool area was perfect to spend the day. Also, the communication with Sofia was very easy and she helped us where she could. I would definitely refer this amazing house for everyone. It is perfect for groups of 10-12 people :) Furthermore the beach is very close, there is a lovely market close to the house on weekends and it’s only a 50 Minute drive to Lisbon. Thank you so much for making amazing holidays possible.

My family and I stayed for a week in May. We were 6 adults and 2 young children (1 & 5) from the United States (first time to Portugal) and 1 adult who lives in Lisbon. This home is located on a large lot with beautiful outdoor space on a hillside with views of the ocean, the top of the Cabo da Roca light house and the quaint village of Almocageme. As a family traveling with small children we found this home to be perfect. The pool is surrounded by a fence which kept our roaming toddler safe and with 5 bedrooms and 4 baths there was plenty of room for our crew to spread out. We really enjoyed the location of this home. The beaches (Adraga and Grande) are 5 minutes away. Sintra and its popular attractions can all be reached in about 20 minutes or less. Even day trips into Lisbon are easy. Despite the easy proximity to these popular places, the home itself feels very secluded and we spent a few afternoons just enjoying the garden and pool. The owner, Sofia, was wonderful and very accomodating. We hope to return someday and would definately stay here again!

Wat hebben we een geweldig verblijf gehad in deze mooie villa, samen met ons gezin (6 volwassenen en 3 kleine kinderen). Heel ruim, mooi en heel compleet ingericht. Een fantastische locatie met een hele grote tuin en prachtig uitzicht op de zee. Een fijne plek om met een groep samen te zijn met voldoende eigen ruimte voor iedereen. Ideaal gelegen in een prachtige omgeving. Goede uitvalsbasis voor het maken van mooie wandelingen en diverse uitstapjes naar de strandjes, Colares, Sintra en Cascais en ook Lissabon is goed te doen. Uitstekende eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Ondanks het mindere weer hebben wij volop genoten. Echt aan te bevelen en een plek om nog eens terug te komen.

We stayed in this amazing villa close to Sintra and to the wow beach of Praia Grade. The villa is splendid and fully furnished with everything one may need. The views are absolutely stunning and Sophia, our hostess, went out of her way to provide us with a top quality service. Will certainly be back!

I had been looking for a place to spend a few relaxing days with my family, and this place was perfect! The house was impeccable: very clean, comfortable and well decorated, with an astonishing view. The huge garden was very well kept, and we felt very secluded and peaceful. The location was also very convenient: just a 3 min drive or 10 min walk to the closest village and restaurants, with wonderful beaches within a 10 min drive. It was also very close to Sintra, and had quick and easy access from Lisbon. I highly recommend this place, and we will certainly come back!

This house delivered everything we needed! Great location, quiet and calm. But with all needs within a short drive. Lovely scenery to start your day with a jog on the marked trails. Take a swim, relax in the pool house. Close to great beaches and restaurants and spectacular views. We made a lot of meals in the house too, and there was no lack of equipment. We were 6 adults and 5 children and everyone had a great time. The only thing I can think of that could have been a little better was the stereo system. Very pleasant and helpful hostess. We would recommend this to anyone.

We loved our stay at this property. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner to help with, whether it was restaurant recommendations or getting extra high chairs for all the kids we had staying. Having the pool fenced off makes it the perfect location for families with small children and the views are wonderful. The only slight negative if I could find one, was the fog that you can sometimes get in this part of Sintra

Une villa à couper le souffle, elle est magnifique avec une vue hypnotisante!!! Au calme et proche de beaux sites. Idéale avec des enfants. Je recommande cette location.

Heel fraai huis met zeer veel ruimte . Elke kamer zijn eigen badkamer en ook een ruime living en eetkamer. Inrichting geheel afgewerkt met moderne keuken. Wij waren er met 8 personen voor 9 dagen. Handdoeken hadden tussendoor wel een keer gewisseld kunnen worden, verder was alles perfect geregeld. Je moet hier wel een auto hebben. Ligging is mooi en binnen straal van 50 km heel veel te zien , incl Lissabon.

Wat hebben we enorm genoten van dit huis. Met 6 volwassenen en 4 kinderen (4,3,2 en 1 jaar) hebben we een week gelogeerd in dit prachtige huis op deze mooie plek. Echt alles klopt aan dit huis. De kamers zijn allemaal heel verzorgd en goed uitgerust, net als de badkamers. Alles heeft sfeer, we voelden ons gelijk thuis. De keuken is zeer compleet uitgerust en van alle gemakken voorzien. De tuin is heerlijk, zeker met het zwembad, dat ook voor kleine kindjes prima is aangezien het eerste deel langzaam afloopt met een opstapje en toch veilig is door het hek. Een auto is wel echt onmisbaar, maar dat is zeker geen minpunt. Vanaf het huis ben je overal vlak bij. Half uurtje naar Cascais, 40 minuten naar Lissabon. Je kunt lopen naar het strand, maar dat is best pittig. Een auto is wel veel makkelijker en dan kun je ook beter de verschillende strandjes bezoeken. Kortom een geweldige vakantie waarbij we onszelf meermaals in de arm knepen omdat we bijna niet geloofden hoe mooi het allemaal was. Een echte aanrader dus!!

Bij aankomst werden we zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door de dochter van de eigenaars en kregen we een goede uitleg over het gebruik van het huis. De eigenaars zijn zeer behulpzaam om het hun gasten naar hun zin te laten hebben. Door de routebeschrijving die ons werd gemaild is het huis goed te vinden. Het huis ligt wat afgelegen waardoor je wel een auto nodig heb om het goed te bereiken. Het huis is in het echt nog mooier als op de foto's staat afgebeeld. De tuin en het uitzicht is geweldig en niet te vergeten het zwembad met bijbehorend poolhouse. De inrichting is goed en de slaapkamers met bijbehorende badkamer zijn zeer ruim. Wij hebben hier een geweldig weekend met onze familie doorgebracht. Als wij weer een huis in deze schitterende omgeving willen huren zullen we dit huis nogmaals huren. Voor ons is het een aanrader als je met ongeveer 10 tot 12 mensen een huis wilt huren in deze regio.

We had a great stay at this spacious, light and comfortable house, with a perfect garden en stunning view. We regret we couldn't spend more time at the house, as we spend to much time at our favourite beach and restaurant, Praia d'Adraga. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

We spent five incredible days at this lovely property with our three children. It was our first time in Protugal and this house was the highlight of our trip. The house is very large, beautifully decorated and extremely well maintained. The kitchen is modern and had everything we needed for dinners and barbecues at home. We truly enjoyed spending time in the spectacular garden with its large pool and pool house. All of the bedrooms are quite spacious and the bathrooms are very modern. The house is perfectly situated 10 minutes from Sintra and five minutes from many beautiful beaches. The owners were very helpful by giving us a tour of the local town and recommending some excellent restaurants in the area. We would love to return with our extended family!

Wir haben uns von Anfang an in diesem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt - warm und gemütlich. Die Beschreibung passt genau, die Fotos können die Athmosphäre des Hauses gar nicht gut genug einfangen. Alles sehr gepflegt und es wurde uns von der Vermieterin jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Wir waren 10 Personen von Oma, Opa bis zu den Enkelkindern - für jeden war bestens gesorgt und Platz genug. Die Küche lädt ein zum Kochen - so haben wir uns immer selbst verpflegt. Den Ort erreicht man gut zu Fuß und es gibt einen feinen, kleinen Markt und Minimarkt zum Einkaufen. Gartenanlage und Pool sind ebenfalls sehr gepflegt und sehr weitläufig. Vom Haus gibt es einen Fußweg zur Küste - ca 10 Minuten - weiter zum Strand sind es nochmal 20 Minuten. Am Morgen haben wir beim Frühstück .den herrlichen Blick bis hin zum Meer genossen. Am Abend ein Glas Wein am offenen Kamin und den Ausblick auf die beleuchtete Stadt Almocageme und den Leuchtturm von Cabo da Roca. Ein wunderbarer Platz um sich zu entspannen und einfach den Urlaub zu geniessen - es blieben keine Wünsche offen. Wir würden gerne wieder kommen! Herzlichen Dank an die Familie und Sofia!

My wife and two of my older children spent a lovely week in this very spacious villa with it's large and beautiful garden. We were met by Sofia's charming mother and sister, who also showed us the village. The photo's on the website do not do the place justice in my view. The house itself is very comfortable, with a large living, dito bedrooms (though the beds were a little hard), it's many bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. You should be able to see the sea on a clear day, but unfortunately the weather did not allow us to. The location is perfect in the neighbourhood of Lissabon, Sintra, Cascais and close to some beautiful beaches like Praia Adraga. The village itself is small, but it does have all the necessary facilities. On walking distance are two simple but good restaurants. Michel van der Stee, The Netherlands

The house is not a farmhouse, but a light, airy spacious bungalow with a beautiful view of the green valley below almocagem and, beyond, the blue Atlantic Ocean. It is on a quiet lane leading nowhere, but a small hidden path a little up the road leads to a beautiful walk to the cliffs facing the ocean. We had a wonderful stay with long dinners on the terrace on delightful cool evenings which followed sunny days. Siësta's in the shade of the big trees in the green garden sloping down and swimming in the big pool finished it oof. A great place to stay for ventures into the Sintra area and for surfing kids on the Praia Grande and Macas beaches. Wolter WB

The pictures on the website give a feel for the lightness and the spaciousness of the property, but they still don't do it justice. The setting is excellent, opening the shutters in the morning and looking out through the doors to the coast was an uplifting experience in itself . It is both a very private and very open setting at the same time. The house itself is well designed, beautifully finished and very practical to use with a large kitchen and ample dining space inside and out. Fenced swimming pool made for a relaxing time given our 2 year old's love of water. Setting is a short stroll to the village of Almocageme with its small supermarkets, butcher, chemist and last but not least, its pastelaria. The nearby beaches of Adraga, Punto Grande and Praias de Macas are all very good, Adraga in particular has that degree of feeling of remote-ness about it which made it our favourite. Nice fish restaurant there as well. Sofia met us at the house and provided a good tour of the surrounds, which was great as it provided us with some much needed orientation. All in all we had a really enjoyable holiday, the area is one where you can do as much or as little as you wish and would have no hesitation recommending this to friends.
