Large rooms, great bar and breakfast staff.

The room was beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable. Evening food delicious. Staff friendly, helpful and enjoyed a good banter. Good choice for breakfast but my English was overcooked and dry (suspect it had been sitting under heat lamps).

Squeaky floorboards and footsteps from the room above also we could hear them using the toilet and shower - they got up very early and seemed to be training for a marathon in their room!

Room was comfortable, it was frosty time and room was lovely and warm and completely adjustable, I thought the value was good with the included breakfast being excellent

Not much really. If I was picky the shower was a bit weak, but it worked fine.

I have stayed several times pre-pandemic and despite a change in ownership, it remains one of my favs when in the area. The staff are lovely, the rooms are a step up from the usual and the food is outstanding. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Room very dark, light bulb in ceiling flickering needs replacing larger mirror on wall too big misplaced unless they’re for pleasure purposes ! Not for everyone kettle placed under tv not by refreshments put tv where mirror overpriced menu for what it is breakfast disappointing as fish small and full of bones

Man who showed us to our room no welcome at all. Never stated anything about our room facilities nor times of breakfast etc. Evening meal staff miserable. Food over priced.

Vegetarian/vegan options at breakfast. Large very comfortable bed. Pleasant surroundings. Good toiletries in pump dispensers. Very good shower.

There were no chairs in our room - I took two cushions and sat on the toilet cover to read. The room was across the road, not in the Cricketers building. There was no hot water to have a shower or wash in the basin on our last morning. It was rectified later on after we (and other guests) mentioning it. The light above the basin did not work - I reported it and was told that, although it had already been reported the day before, it was unlikely to be repaired until after our stay; we stayed for four nights and it wasn't repaired.

Delightful pub accommodation in delightful countryside. Excellent, roomy accommodation in annex. Great food and a lovely bar. Surrounding villages are very old and picturesque. The essential English pub experience.

Could hear the people above, creaking floorboards and useof the bathroom, but didn't bother us in the night A little slow at breakfast but that was understandable as went at busy time

Bathroom was lovely but shower was woefully inadequate pressure and the drain was equally slow to get rid of water Apart from that everything was excellent

The place was lovely but very noisy early in the morning with car whizzing by. That was the only negative. Otherwise everything was great.
