Breakfast was good and very helpful staff

Really poor quality of bed and small considering it was supposed to be a “deluxe room” it was quite a struggle to get it into bed at night between small gap and wall,furniture was cheap and nasty.parking really tight if you cannot reverse in you have to reverse out onto a main road if car park full.

Modern & fresh decor. Friendly staff, Room cleaned every day. Nice big shower.

Breakfast was limited if you pre-paid for it. No lift, only access to 1st & 2nd floor was by narrow stairs. No proper cupboards or drawers in room. Hanging rail & small desk with tiny drawers only in room. Very hot in room as windows opened only very slightly giving very little ventilation. Large circular fan provided only stirred the warm air around.

Some of the staff were friendly.

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room temperature was an unbearable 29°C, and despite booking for two nights, I had to leave after the first night. When I reported the excessive heat and the fact that the window couldn’t be opened, the staff only offered another fan, which was ineffective. I was on the top floor, making the situation even worse. To top it off, they refused to refund me for the night I couldn’t stay. Overall, it was a dreadful experience.

It was in the centre of Newquay, a short walk to the beach and restaurants/bars

It was just a very underwhelming experience staying in this hotel. The staff who greeted us when we arrived weren’t helpful with regards to parking. We had seen that there was parking in the description, but did not see that it had to be reserved prior to arrival, and had to be paid daily. In addition to your room charge. It would have been good to have this option when booking the hotel initially, or a message prior to arrival offering this, but sadly not and we had to park in the train station. The rooms were very small, and felt quite dirty. There was mould on the ceiling, the showers were very very cramped, and it felt that the staff were occupied talking with friends, rather than attending to customers and making our stay more enjoyable. Just overall not somewhere we wanted to spend 2 nights, so we checked out and moved hotel after the first night.

The location and the facilities in the room and the staff were great.

When we first got there the room hadn’t been cleaned and still had some stuff in there from the people who stayed before.
