- got the family room for 4 (2 couples), and was spacious enough with good value for money. room is cosy and comfortable - great location as it’s 2 minutes from the shuttle bus stop and a short walk to the main streets for food - owner kindly shared the online purchase site for promotional lift passes and saved us quite a sum of money

- shared bathroom was quite cold in winter - breakfast is not bad, perhaps because I’d had nicer at a similar price range in nozawa on my last trip, i was slightly disappointed :(

+ close to the bus stop only few step away from onsen and its free, center of the village 5minutes by foot, and there many nice restaurant that sell japanese food and western food also we stay at 3rd floor, the room is spacius, heater make the room warm and view from the room is nice, the bed is traditional japanese bed, coffe and teh is 24/7 at 2nd floor and its free, please make by your self. Breakfast should order one day before. the host speaking fluent english and very helpfull. they told us where to buy lift ticket with 20% off.. that great when you spend a few days for skiing/snowboarding. wifi quite strong and fast.

Very comfortable warm room, lovely hosts, and great japanese breakfast each day. Public onsen next door very handy, Chuo bus terminal 5 mins walk and gondola easy 10min walk.

No shower available in the mornings, so either onsen next door or wait til Togoro bathroom opened in afternoons

The breakfast was good - especially the coffee.

I suggest putting a bench in the entrance to make it easier to remove or put on shoes. That's all!

Togoro was incredibly easy to find! Only a 2-3min walk from the main bus terminal, a short 10min walk to the main Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort gondola and 5min walk to the nearest chairlift! There’s literally like 3 different public onsens that are less than a 5min walk away and there’s heaps of restaurants and bars a short walk away as well! You feel like you’re in the heart of Nozawa Onsen! The beds were incredibly comfortable and warm and we booked a room with a private bathroom as well which was really nice! The staff were so wonderful and spoke amazing English for those who don’t know much Japanese. They have an area to store all of your snow gear but there’s also a heater in your room which was wonderful at drying our gloves and thermals! We got the traditional Japanese breakfast everyday and it was so so delicious and worth it! Especially if you’re wanting the fully traditional experience! When we checked out, my partner accidentally left something behind and the staff got in contact with us immediately and sent the item straight to our next hotel! So so amazing and thoughtful! You can also get discounted lift pass tickets at the reception!! Definitely planning on staying here again!

The towels they provide you with are a bit interesting, not bad but hard to dry yourself off with and are also very very small. Not horrible but definitely recommend either bringing your own towel or buying one in town for cheap.

It is exceptionally clean and staff is very friendly! The public bath is just a 30 seconds walk from the hotel. Breakfast is very healthy and so cheap! It is one of the best places you can find for your money in Nozawa onsen.

Walking to skiing slopes is a bit far (10-15 mins)

The location was centralized to many tourist attractions, restaurants, and onsens. Very kind, courteous, and accommodating family owned establishment. A different breakfast spread each morning, equally delicious each day. Our stay at Nozawa Onsen was amazing, in large part to our stay at Togoro.

Staff and hotel were great, perfect location for walking around town and close to the bus, visted for the fire festival. Very clean hotel.

I didn’t ask for another pillow but the pillows that were in the room we stayed were buckwheat pillows and I’m allergic, so we couldn’t use them.

The staff was very kind. The wifi was good and the place quite enough to remote work from there. I will definitely go there again.

Good English Speaking reception staff. Close to town centre 2 min walk. Small walk to snowfields were super easy.

Fantastic place to stay! The family that run it are super accomodating and helpful. The Japanese breakfast each day was wonderful. A short 10 minute walk to ski/board hire places and lifts. Even shorter walk to great restaurants. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. In fact, we are looking at dates for returning next snow season! Would return, and recommend.
