The location was perfect if you want to be close enough to Waikiki but not have to deal with the hustle of the city. The house overlooks the ocean right above China walls and is just a couple minutes walk to the water. Peggy was amazing and available if we ever needed anything.

We absolutely loved staying here, the location was perfect for us to split time between Waikiki and the eastern shore. House had everything we needed and the view was spectacular. Lovely park just a minute walk from the front door, we enjoyed watching the surf come in. Highly recommended!

First time staying in a vacation rental and our experience with Peggy and her property will have us coming back to her home whenever we visit the islands. Peggy was an amazing host who was very welcoming from day one. She truly has the aloha spirit. She had instructions printed out on the dining room table that were thorough and very easy to follow, and she was also readily available via phone if need be. The house itself was very spacious, comfortable, located in a perfect location in Oahu with an amazing view of the ocean and Diamondhead. And the pool made for a great way to cool down and relax after spending the day at the beach, hiking, walking the Waikiki strip, etc. We planned this trip because we were dropping off our oldest at Chaminade, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the memories we created staying in Peggy’s home. I was uncertain of the 5-star reviews before booking, but after spending 16 days at this home, now I understand the stellar rating. Mahalo nui loa, Peggy, for sharing your home with us!

The house is amazing great views and very close to grocery stores. Me & my entire family had an amazing time. Margarita was amazing and very helpful.

My sisters and I’s family stayed at this beautiful home for 6 night (4/18-4/23). The pictures on line do not do the view of the ocean from the back patio justice. The back patio has a panoramic view of Maunalua Bay with Dimond head off to the right, its truly beautiful. The entrance to ‘China Walls’ surf area was right in the neighborhood and a local favorite. The home was clean, well-kept and the on-site host Peggy could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The home is about 2,000 SQF, central kitchen and living room and fit our party of 8 nicely. The home was equipped with AC which was a huge plus! Sunsets are perfect, we enjoyed many evenings outside grilling and soaking in the Hawaii life. Overall I would for sure stay here again, Peggy and the home were wonderful!!

This home was perfect for our entire family to enjoy our Easter vacation. When you walk into the home you immediately feel the warmth and love that has been there over the years. Then you see the VIEW!!! Every aspect of this home was exactly as advertised - I just can't say enough - everything was perfect. AND Pegge is a wonderful host! We hope to stay here again. WOW!!! We loved our stay, beautiful property. Peggy was a great host and always available for any questions that we had. The view and the house were perfect for us, we had 6 adults and 6 grandchildren. The pool was a hit! To be able to spend 8 days all together in one place, cook meals, BBQ and swim. We also saw whales spouting from our patio and the sunsets were spectacular. We will be going back to this location on out next family vacation.

We loved our stay so much! The property exceeded our expectations and Peggy was a fantastic host! First of all the location was perfect for us. It close enough to get to lots of great hikes, beaches, and attractions, but we were in a beautiful neighborhood rather that a tourist spot. We loved the pool and the amazing views of the ocean. We enjoyed eating our meals and spending as much time as possible outside. The house worked fantastic for our group of 6 adults and 3 children under 4. We had plenty of room for all. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of pots, pans, and dishes we had no trouble cooking a lot of our dinners there. Peggy was available if needed for questions and suggestions for places to visit and we enjoyed our conversations with her. We would highly recommend this property. Thank you so much Peggy!

We had 7 people in our family - lots of teens - and were very comfortable in the house. Peggy has thought of everything to supply the house. The kitchen is especially well supplied - we did a lot of cooking there and had a dinner for friends. The location is about half an hour from downtown/Waikiki right on the coast and minutes away from a swimming beach. Peggy has many notebooks full of information on things to do, restaurants, etc. You'll love it!

This was our first Oahu vacation with our little one. We had a great time. The house is very beautiful, comfortable and the ocean view was awesome. We enjoyed the sunset from lanai and enjoyed the pool time, outdoor dinner and lanai was perfect for our photo shoot to bring memories with us. Peggy was very helpful and was available just a phone call away. She is a great host and welcomed us very well. We would love to go back to this home if we get a chance in future. China Wall was a hidden treasure next to this home and we enjoyed sunset view from there as well.

We were a group of 9 and Peggy's house was so comfortable for us to stay in. Super clean upon arrival with everything we needed for our visit! Peggy gave us great suggestions of places to visit on the island and was always available with anything we needed. Loved loved loved this home!

This is such a fantastic VRBO. We had the comforts of home plus the extraordinary beauty of the views. Every morning and evening, the family collected on the patio to gaze at the ocean (and whale sightings) and Diamondhead. The owner is a joy and my husband and I enjoyed hearing local information and a bit about her family history on the island. The location is perfect - close to everything we wanted, but out of the way of traffic. And such an enjoyable, pretty neighborhood for walking. Absolutely loved it here. Would come back in a heart beat.

This house is located at the perfect spot. Every morning we woke up to whales in the distance playing. The evening sunset were incredible. Peggy was a kind and accommodating host. You are close to everything! All the great eating spots are near by, Waikiki is 30 minutes away, Kailua is 30 minutes away. The local beaches are fantastic. The pool was a dream. Every day was special. Thank you for hosting us!

We couldn’t have been more thrilled with our stay. Peggy was such a wonderful host and the house is amazing with a beautiful pool and stunning view of the ocean. Thank you for helping create such a beautiful vacation for my family!

Our stay was great and the house was wonderful. View was spectacular. The guest manual that was emailed a few days before arrival was very helpful and very long. There is some information on the VRBO site (like to contact Egar before arrival) that is inaccurate. Follow the email. The house worked very well for our family especially for the 4 kids we had with us (5-14yo). Kitchen had everything we needed. There were 2 beach towels available, wish there was more. Showers/bathtub could use an update but not surprised as it was explained in the manual. There are instructions to clean bbq grill when using, which we did but was not cleaned when we first arrived. Overall would definitely stay again!

Our expectations were definitely met. Not only does this home come with extraordinary history but the comfort of it was very much appreciated as well.

We had a family get together over Thanksgiving and had a great time. The property is accurately described and our group of 5 adults were very comfortable. Some positives: The location is a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds of downtown. The location had great access to different areas on the island. Costco and Safeway are nearby for supplies. Great neighborhood for walks with very little traffic. The view was fantastic. Beautiful sunsets and whale watching if they are there. The pool was wonderful and a great feature. Very relaxing if the waves are too rough that day. The house was very clean. Towels, beach towels, beach mats, bbq, parking, and other amenities are available for your comfort. Peggy was very communicative when things were going on and kept us informed. There are some restaurants nearby but not many. To get different flavors of Oahu you will need to drive closer into Honolulu. Overall a wonderful stay. We would definitely stay here again, especially if we come as a group.

Beautiful property with an amazing view. The view of the ocean is truly spectacular as are the sunrises and sunset. Location was wonderful, we accessed pretty much the whole island easily. The owner Peggy is fantastic , she was helpful and quick to respond with any questions. She was there to greet us upon our arrival and showed us around the house and gave us various tips for places to visit. We came to celebrate our parents 50th anniversary. Peggy was an excellent hostess. She was helpful and quick to respond with any questions or issues we had. The house was more than adequately stocked with linens, towels, kitchen utensils, and more. The pool was welcomed after a long day of exploring the island. We highly recommend Peggy’s home and can’t thank her enough!!

We were celebrating my mom's 80th birthday for her dream trip to Hawaii. Peggy Aurand the property manager was absolutely magnificent! She was so responsive, accommodating and a great host. She responded to our call prior to our arrival. She was there to greet us upon our arrival and showed us around the house and gave us tips. She even had a manual for us to reference for the house and the area in Oahu. Even the book on the history of the house was great reading. The house was great with the best view of the ocean, Diamond Head and the best sunset over Diamond Head. The location was absolutely the best. The neighborhood was very exclusive and friendly. We can't say enough great things about the house, the owner host, Peggy and the area. It was the best. Peggy had all of the amenities and more for us to enjoy including items for a beach outing. I would highly recommend this house. Peggy also loved us as guest and stated that we were one of the best guests that she has ever had. Just follow her instructions, and you will be great guests also.

If you are going to stay in Oahu, this is the perfect place. Great pool, amazing view of the ocean. The house was great! Our host even scheduled a coconut harvest for us during our stay. Apparently it is something that only happens twice a year. Book this house 👍🏻

This is a must stay location when traveling to Oahu. The location is very serine and quiet with room for our extended family. Avoid the large groups of tourists in Waikiki and enjoy the serenity at Hale Pomaika’i. We could not get over the views and everything the house had to offer. It was the perfect place for family pictures and wonderful meals on the lanai. The kids swam in the artist detailed pool day and night. It was easy access to the Hawaii Kai shopping areas and restaurants. Peggy was a super host sharing her family history in the islands. She was totally welcoming making this the best stay we’ve had on Oahu in the past 20 years. We look forward to booking this VRBO for our next stay on Oahu next year. Thanks Mark

Excellent! One minute walk from the water, close to Koko Crater Hike (for those athletically inclined) and five minutes from Hanauma Bay. Amazing views of the Honolulu city lights, daily sunset, and breaching whales. The home is well cared for and set up nicely for family reunions, girls/boys get away or families that want to travel together. There is a central living area and two separate private sleeping areas on each side of the house. A beautiful pool with a wonderful outdoor eating area, and poolside bar completes the picture. The description of this home does not do it justice, my expectations were surpassed. From the house you can walk about a mile through beautiful neighborhoods inhabited by celebrities to a shopping mall with everything you would need while vacationing. The property was very clean and well maintained and the manager was readily available. I have already recommended this to my family and friends and can't wait to stay there again! There are multiple activities available near this rental, one often missed is the Koko Crater Botanical gardens. From the top of Koko Crater you can see the Botanical gardens to the north. It is a short drive to get there and well worth seeing, especially if you like cacti and unique tropical plants. Special note to fisherman and divers: The area below the house is good for fishing, and there are occasionally a few locals trying for Ulua and the smaller reef fish. The entry below the house is rocky, and experienced freedivers and spearfishermen will find it ideal. Beginning divers should start at Hanauma Bay, or on the calm side of the island (the calm side changes with the season).
