We weren’t in the house much, as we were out fishing everyday. But the house was comfortable

We stayed here for 6 days in July and absolutely loved it. Our entire family visited Avalon to celebrate my parents 80th birthday & we rented multiple cottages in the “flats”
This house was terrific because we had plenty of space to host everyone for snacks & socializing before we walked into town.
The house comes equipped with everything you could need, even beach chairs and towels!
Having a basket of “kids” puzzles & activities was a hit with my nephew & niece & they played with them every time they came down plus they also enjoyed the little backyard space to play.
We have rented many locations over the last 16 years & this one was so convenient and easy. Check in & out was a breeze Mark was great!
The house is older, as are most of the cottages in Avalon, but it is well maintained, clean, & comfortable.

We had a wonderful time. Fantastic location. Could walk to everything. Not a bad walk to ferry, even with luggage. Lived the view of the hill from the back.

It was a fun filled 2 day stay with the grandkids. The best part was watching the great granddaughter meet the beach for the first time! She loved it. Coming back to the house was very nice because it was very family welcoming.

In a quiet neighborhood, perfect for our family stay. Close to town, walking distance to beach, shops, and market. Host Mark was very helpful in sharing home details and was available for helpful tips. Would definitely book again.

We enjoyed walking around town, to the Wrigley Memorial and up in the hills above town. Walked around the corner to Mass.
Relaxing! Enjoyed having a backyard to hang wet suits and bathing suits. Glad they had a washing machine and dryer. Hope to return someday soon.

We loved the accommodations. They were a perfect fit for our group of six adults. Conveniently located in walking distance to all destinations that our group required. We highly recommend this rental for anyone visiting Avalon!

Absolutely delightful stay! This townhouse on Catalina Island exceeded all expectations. Its proximity to downtown, just a 5-minute stroll away, made exploring Avalon incredibly convenient. The host's hospitality was outstanding; they were incredibly accommodating and ensured our stay was nothing short of wonderful. The townhouse itself was cozy, well-equipped, and provided all the comforts of home. From the moment we arrived until our departure, every detail was taken care of, making for a truly memorable experience. Can't wait to return to this charming getaway!

Avalon is a cute and pleasant small town - a great destination for a romantic getaway for a couple days. Also looks like it would be an easy and fun scuba destination (we didnt dive, but we saw a number of small dive boats going out and a few shore dives). Our only reservation in recommending it is that while you can rent golf carts and electric bikes, you are still mostly restricted to the town limits unless you take a commercial tour to see the island outside of town,

Came with my family of four for a laid back trip to the island. And we got just that! Mark’s place felt like staying at a family friend’s home - comfortable, homey, no frills. Was nice to be able to walk everywhere and be on a quiet street with people of the neighborhood. Was also nice to be able to spread out in the house. Mark is really easy going with great communication.

Perfect place for our family. Not too far of a walk to marina, although if going all the way to Descanso it’s a bit challenging for children. Property manager was helpful and flexible for us to store our bags on last day, which was very helpful.

Loved the place. We were two adult couples staying. Very nice 2 bed 2 bath home. Back yard was great, quiet private with a nice BBQ to use.

Futón unusable: dirty, lumpy and literally in a closet.
Drapes filthy. Floors May have been swept and vacuumed but not clean. It needs a deep cleaning.
Mark, manager, was rude. Because of a mis communication re check in he banged on the door screaming about us being there before getting a communication from him (never got his text after initial phone call). Only my 84 year sister was there, the rest of us were at the market, he ranted and screamed at her. We then came back. We pointed out the cleanliness ie tissues and crumbs under the sofa cushions. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Overall the place is nice, good location, etc but it needs a paint job and decluttering.
I would recommend if these issues were addressed. It does not sleep six unless you’re counting babies.

I loved it so much! The yard was the perfect outdoor space.
Loved that we were within walking distance to everywhere! And the neighbors were very nice. The perfect spot! Mark was so helpful. A great guy!

We had a great time. What started out as a girls trip (mothers and daughters) became a momm & adult kids trip when my friend got sick and they couldn’t go. The only thing I would tell someone to be aware of is that the pull out couch downstairs is kid sized. We had a good laugh when my 6’2” son took the downstairs to sleep. The back yard was nice and it had laundry facilities. I don’t know if the service that supplies linens leaves any for the pull out beds because we couldn’t find any. But there were extra blankets he was able to use. I’d stay again regardless due to its location. And Mark and Mark were both easy to work with and to communicate with. Thank you Mark and Mark!

The property manager communicated everything to us and was available throughout our stay. The house is in conveniently location, clean, spacious, and a great value for Avalon.

We had a lovely time on Catalina. The house suited us perfectly. Our 3 year old daughter loved then back yard and we appreciated the sand toys, beach chairs and umbrellas that came with the house. Mark was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make sure the house had everything we needed and that we connected with the unique history of Avalon.

Great property, the yard was so amazing to enjoy the mornings and evenings. Even though the hurricane cut our trip short we’d definitely come back again soon!

Great little house for family vacation. Grand kids loved it and the sleeping arrangements were spot on.The yard with bbq was a nice addition. Toilets were sluggish, but we were able to clear them out!

Perfect beach condo with a large backyard, washer and dryer, beach towels, toys, chairs, beach umbrellas, even a few wetsuits! Two bedrooms upstairs with a little nook with a kids foam couch perfect for a kid or two small kids, downstairs had a pull out couch and a pull out loveseat. Vons is two blocks over and the condo is two blocks up from the beach. Great location! Hope to be back soon!

Mark contacted me prior to arrival with easy instructions. The home was small, furnishings outdated.. but water was hot & beds were comfortable. I recommend spending a few bucks to buy a Kuerig coffee machine. BTW, We couldn’t find the garbage disposal switch…

House was clean, good communication with the owner. The house is very close to restaurants, beach and grocery store !House has everything you need and enjoyed the complimentary beach chairs and towels! Recommend to families, couples or anyone who wants to visit Catalina island.

Close to the center of town and home was fully equipped with what we needed. Communication with management was excellent.

We loved the location and the house was very comfortable. The only thing that we had an issue with was finding enough outlets for charging phones. Queen bedroom outlet closest to door did not work. A charging station/ multiple outlet would be a big plus. Also a light over the dining table would be helpful for playing games. Not complaints, but suggestions that would improve the experience. Overall a great experience.

This house is perfect for a group of 5. It had a nice backyard and the inside was so clean and cute. You literally only had to bring your clothes this house had everything you would need to have a nice vacation. We are going to book it again for next year. I highly recommend this place you will love it.
