Can’t express enough how great the villa was. Beautifully layed out and appointed. The staff was absolutely wonderful and so attentive. The food was outstanding. We did chef’s choice for the week and it was not to disappoint. So fun going to the private children’s beach, and the cliff jumping. Loved the dogs. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. Really a special place!

Brown Shuggah Villa is the ultimate in a vacation home rental. The property is stunning with beautiful vistas of the ocean. The house had all the amenities one could hope for. The staff was truly amazing and make it a truly relaxing, memorable experience. It was convenient to Ocho Rios, but not too close. I've rented several different properties around Florida and the Caribbean through VRBO, and this one truly stands out.

We had an amazing time. The pictures really don't do this property justice. It was larger and more beautiful than we expected. We suggested a video walkthrough tour with the housekeeper would be a great addition to the property profile. The staff were amazing and accommodating from arranging trips, great meals, swimming/cliff jumping/exploring the bat cave, to playing Ludo with the our kids. We made so many great memories and our kids will ALWAYS remember this trip to Jamaica. The host was also very responsive and accommodating with last-minute needs and revisions we had for our trip.

We recently stayed at Brown Shuggah Villa (4 adults and 3 young children, ages 2, 2, and 4). This vacation truly exceeded every expectation we had. The house was very clean, large, and exactly as seen in the photos. Our children specifically liked the pool - my son learned to swim! - and the private beach cove. There are ample pool toys and floats. A short 2 minutes walk away is a very shallow bat cave which us adults loved. To the staff: Sharndee, Pepe, Bryan, Sophia and Chef Wong - thank you for caring not only for us but for our kids. Your attention to detail and kindness to our children was truly above and beyond. We will 100% back. Again, thank you!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Brown Shuggah, Villa. As many have said the pictures did not do it justice the staff was amazing and it was a very relaxing, fun family vacation celebrating our daughter’s college graduation.

I visit Jamaica frequently and must say this was one of the loveliest villas I have experienced. The attention to detail with the decor and layout was impressive. The staff at this villa were very courteous, professional and personable. It was a perfect stay!!!

Awesomeness!!! My family and I celebrated my 50th birthday at Brown Shuggah. I enjoyed every minute of my stay, the staff sealed the deal. Each serving of meal was well presented with the most colorful and decorative tablecloths and mats, I found this very impressive. Big up to Shawn the butler who was very attentive to all our needs, Marlon the chef who prepared the most delicious meals in speedy time. Sophia, who kept our rooms and bathrooms clean and refreshed. The gardeners who kept the grounds immaculate by pruning, sweeping and watering every morning. Lola, such a friendly and obedient dog who guided us to the cove at times. Our party of four adults and six children recently spent spring break at Brown Shuggah Villa and we could not have had a better experience. The online pictures just don't capture how truly breathtaking the property is and we often found ourselves just staring out at the water. Everything went as planned from transport to check-in to meals. The staff was amazing the entire trip and we will miss our morning mimosas! We can't wait for our next visit!

We had such an amazing time at Brown Shuggah Villa! We had 3 generations together (including young kids) to celebrate a few milestone birthdays and anniversaries and it was absolutely wonderful! The house was beautiful and spacious, the grounds and view spectacular, and the cove was an absolutely perfect play area for our young kids. But above all of this, it was the staff that truly made our stay beyond what we could have anticipated. Marlon the chef made every meal incredibly delicious and we really enjoyed trying local Jamaican dishes. He made a special birthday dessert for my mother in law and having the food taken care of all week was an amazing treat for us. Sean (Sharndee) the butler was so kind and attentive and made us feel so well taken care of. Sophia the housekeeper kept our rooms and space tidy and clean. Foxy and Bryan kept the grounds looking great, and Foxy even took us out to cliff jump, and this was just an added perk of the location of this house. Even Lola the dog was wonderful to have around. We can't say enough good things about this place and would return in a heartbeat. Thanks Brown Shuggah for a fantastic vacation!

Our experience at Brown Shuggah Villa was beyond fantastic! The home is one of the most unique and beautiful homes we have ever stayed in, incredibly clean and comfortable, and the staff just takes it over the top! Not only is the location idyllic, including the cove and the cliffs out back for jumping, but the staff simply makes this place perfect. Chef Marlon, Butler Shawn, housekeeper Sophia, groundskeepers Foxy and Brian were some of the most wonderful people, and the best meals we’ve ever had! Top it all off with the cutest dog name Lola and compatriot Major, and our stay here was perfect. We wouldn’t change a thing! Loved every moment at Brown Shuggah Villa!

The reviews and the photos cannot describe the beauty of this villa. Making reservations and communicating with the hosts was easy, they were extremely helpful and accommodating. The transportation team was very friendly. The staff, there are no words that can describe this team of people including Lola (the dog) were extremely helpful friendly, they made us feel at home and make you want to come back to Brown Shuggah! Excellent food and drinks, service was great, the villa inside and out is extremely clean!

This is the perfect place to take a large group and enjoy total relaxation, privacy and luxury. Brown Shuggah is even more beautiful in person and the staff will spoil everyone-you can't pick a better spot!

From the lovely welcome at our arrival to the last moments for departure, Brown Shagguh surpassed every expectation we had . The host was amazing , she felt like family . The staff , the food , the house , the location were all absolutely wonderful . We will definitely be back soon . 5 days was not enough to enjoy such and amazing property and lovely staff . Brown Shuggah was the absolute best! The house and grounds were kept extremely clean and tidy. The views were spectacular and we could not have asked for a better staff. Shaun, Marlin, Sophia, Foxy and Brian went out of their way to meet every expectation. They were very sincere and welcoming and anything we needed or asked for was provided with a smile. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for the vacation of our life. I would highly recommend visiting this little piece of heaven.

Me and my extended family all went here for a vacation, and the team was friendly and accommodating! The Butler Sean was polite and helped out with us, even the 3 year old loved him.

We have travelled to Jamaica many times, and this is going to become our "go to" villa going forward. The pictures are beautiful, but in reality the property is breathtaking. The location, the staff, the hospitality, was top notch. There was no need left uncared for. What we didn't have the staff provided or prepared. We felt like royalty. The host also left a personalized note and gift which was a warm touch. If anyone stays here the only disappointment they will have is leaving! Thank you so much for making this stay memorable. We are overwhelmed by how positive our experience was. The views, food, excursions, and rooms were only eclipsed by the amazingly kind, professional and always-at-our-service staff at Brown Shuggah. Brown Shuggah is home to some of the best service, best food, best views, and best experiences my 7 guests could have ever imagined. We don't normally travel with this large of a group, nor to destinations this beautiful, nor with services like those at Brown Shuggah. We do however count our blessings we took the plunge and dove head first into luxury -- to be gently landed into our wildest dreams with the best of the best. Upon arrival to Brown Shuggah at the Chukka Polo Grounds we were greeted with a magnificent tour of our temporary, but tastefully lavish, accommodations. Like a country farmhouse in paradise - set amidst grottos, pristine landscaping and galloping ponies. Chef Marlon's cuisine from the traditional favorites like Akee and Salt Fish/Bammy/Festival and Escheivich Fish, or out-of-this-world dinner spreads fit for royalty were each as spectacular as the timing and his ability to shift timing on a dime. He is a champion of cuisine, but is also a shining light that all in the service industry should emulate. Romario, our Butler and all-around renaissance man, was the most kind, generous, knowledgeable and professional team member. No matter the request - Romario had us covered, always. Sophie's genuine care and attention to our guests before, during and at the conclusion of our stay was above-and-beyond. Each person felt truly appreciated by her attention to detail and gentle spirit. From tidying our rooms to keeping up with our group's laundry she was valiant and exacting in perfect timing - taking care to make each room like new each and every day. Foxy's attention to detail is very much integral to any guests' positive experience. From artfully maintaining the landscaping, to ensuring all foods and drinks were flowing at a luxurious rate. Foxy was on-point every step of the way. Brian's masterful hands manicured the perfect landscaping every day and should be celebrated any couture magazine. Lola, the beautiful and well groomed Sheppard mix, made sure to show us the way to all the amazing experiences around the property. She is far more than a dog. She made our stay feel like home. She's perfect and we are looking forward to petting her again soon. 10/10 and we can't wait to return!! D+M+7

We enjoyed this house it was very relaxing the food was awesome by Marlon everybody took great care of our needs. We especially enjoyed Lola the guard dog very friendly. The rooms were well taken care of air conditioners all worked perfect overall it was a great experience for our group and we look forward to the next time

We've lived all over the world to include Hawaii and Europe. This is by far the best week every anywhere. Very private. The most accommodating staff. Chef is in a class of his own...meals were amazing. Pool, lush green space, small cliffs, crystal clear water, just incredible...all within a few steps from the house on the property. Do yourself a favor and book some time there. We'll be back.

Our stay at Brown Shuggah was perfect in every way. Anna and Daniel have created a very special place and have thought of everything! The home and grounds are stunning and the staff could not be warmer or more welcoming. We were a group of 8 adults and 4 children ranging from 11 months to 6 years old. The spacious property abounds with comfortable areas where you can relax with others, play, or go off to a private spot with your favorite book. I was so thrilled to find the house so well suited for young children. We arrived to an already assembled Pack N Play for the baby, a highchair in the kitchen, and a lovely meal prepared on plastic plates for the little ones. There is so much to explore that the children did not need toys, but there are a number of pool floats, beach and pool toys, buckets, etc. as well as indoor toys like blocks and puzzles that came in handy on rainy days. The playset on the property and the protected beach cove made for hours of fun activity. The staff at the Villa is what really makes a stay here so remarkable. Marlon, Romario, Sophia, Foxxy, and the others treated us with such kindness and attended to every possible need. They all went above and beyond, especially with their loving attention to our children. I often found Sophia or Romario holding the baby or helping another child, while Foxxy showed the children fruit trees, lizards and Mr. Franklin, the house turtle. Foxxy also helped with serving and added so much joy to the total experience! Marlon thoughtfully prepared the childrens’ favorite foods, while Romario provided shirley temples, and poolside smoothies. Chef Marlon’s delicious meals for the whole family were remarkable and it was fun to learn about each dish. He catered to a variety of preferences /allergies with ease. Fresh flowers always adorned the table and Romario artfully set table with new linens daily. They both assisted us in planning various outings as well. Sophia is a marvelous housekeeper who kept the house in immaculate condition. After breakfast, you could always count on returning to a spotless room with a perfectly made bed and fresh towels. At night, the bed was turned down, the shutters and curtains closed, a/c or fan on, all to provide a lovely, quiet night of sleep. Anna and Daniel are gracious hosts who went out of their way to be helpful and to address any issues that arose. We highly recommend Brown Shuggah and can't wait to return!

It was so refreshing to relax in the pool and be surprised by Chris carrying a tray of yummy cocktails! Sophia kept the house immaculate! She would tend to our rooms daily and provide turn down service in the evening. She would do her work without us even noticing. Foxxy was also a joy to be around. His energy was amazing and he was always willing to help us with any of our needs. The pool and ground keepers kept the property pristine. Due to Covid, the group decided to just stay at the house for the week and not go out on excursions. There was so many things to do at the house, the days went by so fast. We chilled in the pool all day, played board games, line danced and watched movies all week. It was the perfect getaway during the pandemic! I was sad to leave and will miss the pool, amazing food and the awesome staff. I definitely will be returning to Brown Shuggah again!!!

For family vacations, anniversaries, girl's trips or any occasion you may have coming up, Brown Suggah will not disappoint! We stayed at Brown Suggah for my daughter's 13th birthday girl's trip with family. It was perfect! From the start Anna responded to all our questions quickly and even checked on us when we arrived at the airport to make sure we made it through customs and let us know about our driver. The villa is clean, grounds are always well kept and the staff was exceptional! They went above and beyond to make my daughter feel special and our family feel at home. From the turn down service at night, to the spectacular outdoor dining table, to the personalized menu with all my daughter's favorites, the staff is incredible and went way above and beyond. Everything Marlon, the chef, prepared was tasty and never disappointed. Fresh caught fish every day and authentic Jamaican dishes never disappointed. Chris, the butler, attended to every need and really made us feel comfortable, welcomed and at home. Sophia, Foxy and Brandon, made sure everything was clean from inside the home to outside on the grounds. Our driver, Pie Pie, made sure to get us safely to all the places we wanted to go, including local restaurants so we could get goat head soup! Even Lola, the house dog, was loveable and bonded with my daughter. Don't hesitate to stay at Brown Suggah, the pictures don't lie and you will not be disappointed!
