We had a wonderful time. We were really close to the beach and attractions. Also close to Vons. The home was well stocked with everything we needed. The host even let us enter early which was a great help.

Been coming to Catalina since I was little, so I know the charm of the island. Al's place was great and exactly what I expected from the listing and the description. Al was a great and generous host, was extremely flexible and was very willing to work with us when we arrived after we had a small issue. He acted quickly to make sure the place was perfect for our stay. The road in front was private and safe for kids and families during the day or evening. The rooftop deck, spiral staircase and dumb-waiter were all pretty cool. All of this made the stay less 'noisy' as Avalon can be if you are staying right on a busy street. There was a golf-cart available during the time we stayed, and we really appreciated the opportunity to use it. The location is close to Vons so you can get groceries or refreshments for your stay. The rooms and arrangements will make it so couples and individuals can be comfortable up to about 8 people (as long as you are ok with bunk beds). Having two bathrooms was excellent and both were spacious, well equipped and lighted well. The Wifi worked wonderfully and the living and dining spaces were spacious and comfortable. All in all, we had a great trip and would stay at Al's place again! Thanks!

Cute but outdated. Nice upper deck but sprial staircase is a little difficult. Master bedroom comfortable bed...twin beds down stairs bedroom were uncomfortable and lumpy. Management were nice and flexible with early check-in.

This apartment was on such a friendly no vehicle street. The taxi service picked us up fast at the end of the street though and got us to all the fun activities we planned. The photos were almost accurate except that...it seemed bigger in real life. Oh and Yes, the rooftop patio was really a nice addition. I absolutely recommend this place.

Very easy to rent. Description was accurate. Towels, dishes, silverware, bathing essentials all readily available.

Great location! Easy walking to restaurants, activities, and shops. View from the rooftop deck was nice — good place to enjoy a meal or to just relax. We enjoyed using the dumbwaiter, so nostalgic! The property is located on a quiet street that is closed to auto traffic and contained most everything we needed. Booking and communication was straightforward and easy. The owner was readily available for any questions we had. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at this property.

This property is very clean, comfortable, well decorated, and user friendly. A great place to stay for my family of 6. Super close, walking distance, to a grocery store, restaurants, shopping, the beach and Green Pier. Perfect location for everything you want to do in Avalon. The rooftop patio is fun to lay out on, or bbq and eat meals.

My family enjoyed our week vacation at the property. Will definitely rent again.

It was perfect. Quiet pedestrian only street. Our family owns a home on this street and we all come together for vacation annually. We will stay here again.

Property was exactly as listed. Clean, convenient, very accommodating for a family vacation. We had a great time. Loved the rooftop deck!

Bed we slept in was comfortable. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Rooftop was great to relax on, dumb waiter was used often. Only thing I would have liked was a washcloth. Neighborhood was great, very nice people!

Fun

Nice host, decently clean (it is Avalon after all and the homes are from the 50s/60s). It is a little dark inside, very few windows. Thank goodness for the roof deck, but I would have preferred a larger living room with light and perhaps a dining room or place to play games. It's a back house, so the entry/walk way was cluttered with junk and an old washer/dryer. No street charm for sure. Teens didn't have a problem at all though and enjoyed deck.

Well located by the grocery store

We truly enjoyed our stay on Catalina. Easy to walk to anywhere from the location. Plenty of whatever we needed. Reserving and communication was quick easy. Had all our dinners on the roof top.

Nice property with great location on a gated street great for kids to be outside. Super close to the grocery store to grab whatever we needed. AJ was great. Would recommend streaming TV for the younger generations but otherwise great place to stay.

The house was very comfortable and accurately described. We would definitely stay here again. The location was also very convenient and we didn't need to rent a golf cart.

I like everything, no complaints.

Six of us (three adult couples) were staying here for an annual holiday trip. Although the space was fairly small is used the space very well and we never felt cramped. The only exception was the upper bedroom which I'm sure was intended for children. We used this room but it was not easy. The upper deck was a definite plus. We were able to entertain additional friends staying in Avalon and it worked very well (thanks to the dumb waiter that delivered all the essentials to the upper deck). Everything that we needed to entertain was there in the unit. Communication with the owner was excellent and we felt well taken care of.

Perfect location on blocked off street. Close to beach, Vons, gold course. Large deck is a plus! Somewhat outdated decor but totally get that Catalina beach vibe which my family loves. Also appreciated fans in each room and everything we needed to feel at home away from home.

Our family of 7 stayed here for 6 days and we had a great experience. Close enough to everything we needed and definitely enough space to be comfortable!

Perfect location for family with two toddlers (2 & 5 y/o). 1 block from a park and 1 block from Vons. 7 minutes from the main area where the beach and restaurants are. Easy walk with young kids. They have a narrow spiral staircase that goes to a second floor bunk bed bedroom and the third floor roof top which has outdoor seating. I'm terrified of heights so I could not go up the spiral staircase and would caution anyone who is like me in that regard. The master bedroom is on the bottom floor. Kitchen has everything you need and the living room is cozy with cable and Disney channels. Loved having a washer/dryer to wash our home brought beach towels and the mess my kids made on themselves with their clothes. Great option when traveling with little ones.

It is vary nice cozy property with almost every thing our family needed for few days to feel home away from away. Roof deck was fun to see all Catalina & relax. Everything was within walking distance. Owner was nice to offer rent his 6 person golf cart for fraction of the charge cart was being rented locally.
