Our group of 7 adults (generally speaking!) had an absolutely marvelous time staying for two weeks staying in Paulele. The home is perfect for a large group! There’s plenty of room to spread out and enjoy some quiet time soaking up the magnificent sights, sounds and smells of magical Hanalei. Tyler was extremely helpful during the entire process; from making initial plans about the house to helping us chart our activities. Paulette House exceeded our expectations in many ways! We all agree that it was one of our favorite family trips ever. Goofy dancing, amazing conversations, silly games, incredible meals and magic moments. On our second to last day, we learned of our son’s pending engagement. Needless to say it was a very special trip!

My family was absolutely blessed to stay at this incredible property for two weeks. First of all Tyler was the most genuine, caring, and responsive host we have ever worked with. And we have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals. He truly went above and beyond to resolve any issues, provide great detailed information about the island, and ensure our stay was fabulous! The location could not be beat. It was a short stroll to the beach which we enjoyed everyday. The town was also in walking distance or a 2 minute drive. The house itself was stunning. Beautiful view. Such a great lay out with so much space to spread out. The beds were heavenly. The kitchen well stocked. So many fun beach toys.And great family games including shuffle board. Our grandbabies and entire family LOVED and CERISHED this trip. We sure hope to return! Thank you Tyler for sharing your magic!

This house was just right for our family (my brother and his kids, my mom, and my wife and I). The home was represented well in the Listing, Tyler was a pleasure to communicate with, and the location was perfect for us. So easy to run to town to grab a bite to eat, or pick up groceries by walking or riding one of the bicycles. The beach access was awesome and the beach at Hanalei Bay was amazing! A little secrect for those yet to stay, search through the beach toy box, we found some fun toys in the bottom! Tyler- Thank you to you and your family for such a wonderful vacation!

Paulele is paradise. Our family of 4 had the most magical vacation at this gem of a beach house. It’s clean, spacious and comfortable, and perfectly situated to walk to the beach or town. The layout is a bit funky but we enjoyed being able to spread out and enjoy the outdoor spaces. I’m sensitive to heat so I did worry the lack of AC would be an issue, but during our stay in June it wasn’t a problem. The cool breezes kept us comfortable. We also had a blast playing shuffleboard, and we loved the conveniences, including laundry and great beach gear- including a wagon to haul it all! Don’t hesitate to book this sweet little house!

Great spot to go w/ family/friends. Close to beach and town, lot's of indoor and outdoor games. Very relaxing setting. Can't wait to go back.

Our family of 6 stayed here at the home for a week. Our 4 teenage daughters were in heaven. They walked to the beach everyday and walked or ride provided bikes into town to get shaved ice or snacks. We played games on the expansive deck with views out to the Ocean. The home is beautiful decorated and charming. The beds are very comfortable and it has everything you need to be comfortable. We enjoyed the provided beach towels, boogie boards and surf board. The kitchen was well stocked. Tyler was extremely responsive and helpful. We fell in love with this home and will definitely come back. It was perfect. We are so sad to leave. Thank you Tyler!

This spacious and perfectly situated property was the greatest way to introduce my family to Kauai, specifically Hanalei. Made many memories and vowed to come back!

This property was great for the four of us. It was well provisioned w necessities as well as beach chairs & umbrellas, boogie boards, bikes, etc. Interesting note on the bikes is that there were 3. The place sleeps 8. All good, just be aware. There were 4 in our group so we’d need to go rent another. I don’t think I’d want it if I had more people in my group as one of the 4 rooms is adjacent to the living area and the door between them is slatted (not solid) so it would be louder. The 4th bedroom is downstairs and is somewhat dark. The main two rooms were open and bright and really nice. One other thing to note - like many homes in Hawaii, many windows don’t have glass, just screens and operable slats to open or close. We loved it as the temp was great and it lets in the breeze and sound of the rain. But it also lets in the sounds of the roosters starting around 4AM. They woke us the first night but we mainly slept through them the rest of the trip. IMO that made the stay more genuine but you may want to pack some ear plugs if you think it would bother you (or better yet the host could provide them). Great location a 2 minute walk to the beach and 4 minute walk to the shops and stores of Hanalei. We would stay here again.

Beautiful home, walkable to everything, private space - loved every minute of it!

Our trip was a 50th wedding anniversary for my parents and we had three generations going right after the holidays. The property was perfect, it is easily walkable to food and restaurants for coffee in the morning and closer to the beach For the rest of the day! It is stocked with anything you could need too, chairs umbrellas even a surfboard all in great condition. The hosts gave us great recommendations for renting baby equipment and any other questions were promptly answered. I would highly recommend the experience.

A special Hanalei home with old Hawaii charm and in the perfect location. Situated across the street from a beach path that leads to Hanalei beach - fun for all ages. Also, within walking distance to town or ride with fun cruzer bikes from the house. The spacious home was great for our group - a long table for family meals, a lovely porch and the bedrooms had lots of privacy and the beds were very comfortable. Tyler and his family own a priceless home in Hanalei! Thank you for our stay!

Spent time looking for the 'right' place to stay with our family and 17 month old baby, and this was definitely it! Very responsive owner, private property, close to the beach and to town. Would highly recommend.

You cannot find a more perfectly located rental home in Hanalei. A wonderful Hawaiian style living space with incredible views, four full suites, walking distance to town and the beach. Excellent communication, and everything from start to finish was easy. We can't wait to return!

We have been traveling to Hanalei for the past twenty years and loved the location of this rental. A quick walk to “town” or the beach/pier. It was perfect for our two families, the two master suites were beautiful. Our youngest child was 8 and I think that was perfect. The layout of the house is a bit no traditional with outside access only to some bedrooms but it worked for our age group. Younger families might find that trickier. Communication with Tyler was phenomenal, he was an excellent host! We loved the ample deck space and the kids played many a shuffleboard game. So much fun! We also loved that there were two washers and two dryers. After a day at the beach, laundry time was cut in half! We will definitely recommend this home to friends and family and stay again. Mahalo!

We've been vacationing in Princeville for years but decided to venture down to Hanalei this time now that we have young kids. This house was the perfect location and came with every amenity possible. Definitely our go to house for our next trip. Thanks Tyler!

My adult family of five just completed a two week stay at wonderful Paulele Beach House. After arriving, Tyler checked to make sure everything was to our liking and continually alerted us to road closures and other inconveniences that could affect our stay. We were all very comfortable in our well appointed individual king bedroom suites. As mentioned in previous reviews, the location is very close to town and the beach, and the views from the house are spectacular. Walking on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world every morning and then returning for sunset was the highlight of our vacation. We especially enjoyed eating at Ama, Bar Acuda, and the luau at Tahiti Nui, but our favorite meals were the ones prepared at home and eaten on the spacious front deck. After snorkeling at Tunnels Beach, kayaking on the Wailua River, and many other Kauai adventures, we always felt lucky to be staying in heavenly Hanalei. Thanks to the Newman family for sharing your beautiful home in a true tropical paradise.

Magnificent home short walk from the most “beautiful beach in the world” and from the quaint town of Hanalai. The home is huge, with 4 large master suites, several sitting areas and a dining room table where everyone can gather. The placement if the home just off the beach gives the house a more remote feel, as if you are sleeping in a lush jungle, enjoying the fruit scented cool breeze, and awakening to the crow of ever present wild roosters. The beds were extremely comfortable, with soft, new linens and pillows. The kitchen was nicely stocked.. The owners were available meet our every need. I cant wait to return!

Our family of 8 adults spent two great weeks in Hanalei Bay at the Paulele house. The house looks very much like the pictures. Comfortable and roomy and well laid out. Great location across from the beach on Weke road and a short walk into town. We loved our stay and will rent this house again when we return to Hanalei…!

We took 3 college students (18+) for a week of sun and surf in early January. We love Hanalei and the house and location were perfect - a block from the beach and two to town. We walked everywhere! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and the bedrooms are comfortable. It's a very open-air bungalow vibe, so although each bedroom is separate and spacious, we joked that we could talk to each other through the open air windows/blinds. Amazing fruit and avocado trees on property as well as boogie boards, beach towels and two old bikes. Tyler was awesome, helpful and very communicative. Delightful spot for a casual beachy week! We ALL loved it.

This is the perfect home for a group looking for a well located and beautiful space with a combo of private and shared areas. So close to the most beautiful beach, Hanalei. Close to amazing hikes and local restaurants and shopping. We travel a lot as a family and this was by far one of the best stays we have had. The house easily accommodated all 7 of us. The layout is incredible for families or larger groups as there are many different living spaces to both retreat to and gather in . The outside space was a key highlight --- listening to the waves, watching shooting stars, relaxing in the hammock with a glass of wine, and showering off the sand and salt in the outdoor shower.. We enjoyed the most delicious Thanksgiving together where we traded turkey for fish from the Dolphin market after a day on the beach and boogie boarding. This house has everything you need and is in the PERFECT location. If you are reading this, book it NOW! We had the family vacation of a lifetime.

It was very easy process to rent this property.

We loved staying in this real Hawaiian beach house so close to the most beautiful bay on earth. We walked to the beach 2times a day! Tyler and Anne left boogie boards chairs everything. Needed for a great beach stay. We kayaked the river and took a surf lesson The kitchen and really large living rooms were great! Thanks for the experience Pat

We had a wonderful time. Hard not to in Hanalei Bay. There was just two of us staying at the property which worked for us but the house is absolutely a great family, multi-family or multi-friend house. Everyone has their own entrance to bedrooms and attached bathrooms. The house has everything you need. We cooked almost all meals at home as the wait to get into restaurants was around an hour (we haven't seen those kind of waits in the 6 years we have been coming to Hanalei). Location you can.not.beat the beach access which was 2 min from the front door. They have all the beach accessories you need. Tyler was awesome communicator and would respond within minutes to our questions. Very helpful. Only downside is that there was no AC and the main house kept very warm with little cross breezes. There are plenty of fans provided though. The bedroom was fine without AC. Furniture cushions need an update as well. Lots of beach living is apparent on them. We would stay again and the Newman family clearly cares about making your stay and enjoyable one.

Have always felt a kinship with Hanalei. Nestled between the ocean and mountains, it is a truly magical place. Finding the wonderful Paulele Beach House put us one block from Hanalei Bay and gave us views of the mountains and waterfalls from the front deck. Orange and avocado trees in the back. Two block walk to the Hanalei and Ching Young shopping centers with the Village Bakery for banana mac pancakes, musubi and loco moco. Walking distance to Holy Grail Donuts (amazing Taro donuts) and Dolphin seafood market (seafood chowder and sushi + fresh seafood). Wonderful next door neighbors. Tyler was very attentive and responsive to our inquiries. Yes, we found our Hanalei Ohana

Hanalei is truly paradise and Tyler and Anne are excellent VRBO owners. They are very responsive and helpful. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
