Great place to stay, lots of windows so room doesn’t feel small, had everything we needed!

Location is perfect. Kitchen has all the supplies that you need. Bed was comfortable. Furniture nice. Good view of the harbor. Well maintained property.

I was perfectly comfortable during my 4 night stay at the lighthouse in July. They really thought of everything I needed. I was not in lack of anything. I made all my own food and the kitchenette had everything I needed to feel at home. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I slept very well. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was - not like staying at a hotel where there's always some noise. There was light music on Friday wafting through the window from a restaurant down the road, but it was faint and pleasant. The morning light forced me to get up and enjoy the lake when it was calm. I'm so glad. The most inspiring time around the lake on the weekends is in the morning before the tourists are strolling back and forth. Just absolutely gorgeous. I got my steps in before I spent all day at the Folk School (a 3 minute walk from the lighthouse).

I loved how easy everything was. The Lighthouse exceeded my expectations. It had everything I needed, plus extra touches that were very thoughtful. Lots of local information available. The unit was spotless, and everything like brand new, telling me it is well taken care of. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a great location and a wonderful experience. The property is small but cozy, just as the owners describe it. One thing to note is that the Lighthouse is a bright space with many windows. The sun rises early in Grand Marais in the summer, and we had not planned for an early sunrise in our eyes in the morning. So, plan to take an eye mask if you want to sleep a little later in the morning. That being said, the light is beautiful and wonderful, and the space is so well located. We will surely come back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Lighthouse. Todd and Susan clearly have got it down as hosts! There is lots of attention to detail, which all come together for a really enjoyable experience. The Lighthouse was perfect for my husband and I on our 15th anniversary. Other than driving to some nearby attractions, We could walk anywhere we wanted to. If you are into hiking, Todd and Susan have great tips and secrets to share with you to explore. We would highly recommend this stay.

The property was just as described. It was well stocked with everything we needed. We walked everywhere; the location was perfect. We did not need to contact the host for anything, check in and out was very easy. We loved the videos with the hiking suggestions too!

Perfect location. Everything is walking distance. Lovely setting. Communication with hosts was excellent.
