We found the house to be comfortable with good views and a location convenient to the town and restaurants. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.

My husband and I brought my parents to see Mt. Rushmore and this place was perfect. After a day of sightseeing it was nice to return to the peace and quiet. The house is clean and the furniture is comfortable. The balcony has a partial view of downtown Hill City and it’s close enough to walk. The owners are wonderful to work with and we would definitely stay here again! 5 Stars!!

This is absolutely the best location for the Black Hills. Located centrally to all the attractions for an easy drive to everything but also able to walk into Hill City to several restaurants, museums, and shopping. The property was very well maintained and we were not expected to do a bunch of cleaning before we left. I would recommend this place to anyone!

What a beautiful place! Extremely clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the coffee! We needed 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for 2 couples. The place is roomy and the view of the forest is perfect. It was close to all the places we visited and loved the close proximity to the Mikkelson trail. Our host was quick to respond to our questions. We did use the provided pass to the Custer State Park, which was a sweet touch! (Though we didn’t need to use the laundry, it was very nice and stocked with everything.) We would definitely stay again!

The entire home was extremely clean, well appointed and fully equipped. Walking distance to Hill City venues. Equidistant to Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Custer Park. Great location.

I have stayed in many places, but this was by far the cleanest, most organized and most comfortable of all of them. It was perfect for the 4 of us, and the location allowed us to see a few deer, too! It was nice to have the supplies we needed and not be limited to two rolls of paper towels or 3 trash bags. You can never go wrong with this townhome. We were so glad it was what we chose.

Located in a small & beautiful town of Hill City. Very close to major attractions. The house was very clean and well kept. Would definitely stay there again. Lorena was very nice & communicative. Did not have any issues with the stay.

Loved the location. Could walk many places we wanted to go to. Had an attached garage. Appreciated the property manager reaching out to us half way through our stay to see if everything was going good.

This was wonderful. Truly home away from home. Beautifully decorated and immaculate. Everything you need. Rick and Lorena were very welcoming and just great We are planning to go back for sure.

Pros: Property is beautiful, clean and great location. Beds were comfortable. Host is great and attentive. We appreciated the pass to get in Custer state park. We used it many times. The ammentites were good. Internet was strong which was important because we both had to work at night. We also loved access to garage as hail is always a concern in the area. (We already totaled one car due to hail in this area 10 yrs. ago) Cons: No tvs in bedrooms which is difficult when traveling with kids and I like to watch tv when going to bed. Lastly, although use of garage, you cannot get in townhouse through garage which under normal circumstances would not matter, BUT we got caught in a severe storm as we were just getting home with heavy hail. Pulled into garage, and had to wait in garage until weather stopped which was quite a while. If access to house through garage was opened, we would have been in house safely and dry. The cons were so minor that we will be back! We made great memories and enjoyed the area!

We were looking for accessible vacation rentals and Gold Pan Inn was just what we needed. Everything about the rental was perfect. Decor is outstanding, accessible accommodations were as advertised. Hill City location was very nice, close to everything.

The location is EXCELLENT. You can walk to town, grocery store, dinner, or walking trail. But yet you still feel like you are somewhat away from it all since the property is set back in some woods, nice landscaping, and we had gentle deer wander through the back yard three of the five days we were there.The unit owner was SUPER and the unit was in LIKE NEW condition. Of all of the Vrbo's we have used, this is the very best!!! This was our second time staying in this unit and I will book this location again in the future without hesitation. I have also recommended this to my friends that have interest in visiting the Black Hills area. The central location in Hill City makes this perfect for exploring all the area has to offer. - Randy

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The rental was immaculate, the relaxed atmosphere was great, and the manager was extremely accommodating and easy to work with. One of the many perks was the location. The house was within easy driving distance of everything we wanted to do. All in all, it was a great experience and we would definitely book again!

When we first arrived, there was a glitch getting in due to a dead battery in the door lock. We called Rick, and he came and fixed the problem immediately. It was nice getting to meet him and talk about things to do in the area. We loved how homey everything was. The sunflower theme throughout the home was inviting and just seemed to brighten everything. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and we slept very well. We really enjoyed the deck and the views from it and we were even able to see deer wandering in the yard. We were also able to meet Lorena and she was incredibly nice as well. We cant wait to return. This is for sure a destination spot for us!!

This beautiful clean well appointed vacation home has it all… access to garage for parking vehicle during a storm, ramp into front door for easy access, tasteful decor with local flair, open concept for ease of movement and social conversation, beautiful back deck overlooking the town, comfy beds and reclining chairs, full kitchen and nice bathrooms and a host that is readily accessible and helpful!! It’s a good one!

The home was warm, inviting, and well located. Overlooking Hill City, a quick walk to morning coffee, lunch or dinner at the Alpine Inn, of all the shops Hill City has to offer. The hosts were exceptionally helpful and responsive. Don't look any further, this is the place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Gold Pan Inn. It was immaculately clean, centrally located and a great place to come home to after the days activities. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils for cooking, the beds were super comfy and the property was beautifully decorated. It has everything you need in a home away from home. A bonus was seeing deer in the backyard almost every day. It was a super location in Hill City, within walking distance to shops and restaurants and a nice view from the deck. It was also centrally located to almost everything in the Black Hills. Communication with Lorena was excellent and checking in and out was very easy. We highly recommend this property and plan on returning in the future!

Lorena’s place is a gem!. It’s even better than pictured. Clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Check in and out was so easy, and communication was excellent. The area is gorgeous with so many things close by to see and do. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for your wonderful place. 😊

This VRBO is very neat, clean and organized. Attention to details is impressive. We were able to visit Deadwood, Sturgis, Custer State Park (did the loop to see bison, and other wildlife; awe inspiring rock formations, etc.), Mt.Rushmore, and enjoy the magnificence of the towering pines of the Black Hills. Hill City is a cute and welcoming town with plenty of shops and restaurants. With all of our running around to check things off our bucket list, it was nice to come back to a quiet place to rest and re-group. And, I recommend staying four nights to maximize time to explore. This Virginian was very pleased with the experience. Marjorie

Home was very clean and comfortable! Very spacious with excellent amenities! Kitchen was well stocked and flat top grill was nice! So nice to have laundry facilities on site! We'll be back again for sure!!

This home is beautiful and was perfectly located for us. Easy in and out, yet private. We had deer in the back yard almost every morning. We had three motorcycles and a trike, and they all fit in the garage without any issues. The view is awesome, and overlooks the old Hill City Train that comes through from Keystone. We highly recommend this location for anyone who wants to be in the middle of it all, but secluded at the same time! Thank you Rick and Lorena for everything!

Hill City is a beautiful town especially from the back deck of this property and so close to walk down for some coffee or just the cute shops.

Great location with views of the 1880 Train station and centrally located to everything Black Hills.

This is probably the best VRBO listing we have ever stayed. The unit was perfect. Sparkling clean, comfortable and the owners thought of everything. From toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap to trash bags. (which never happens) I would rather pay extra to have those things, then have to run somewhere to buy them. This owner thought of everything. Location was perfect for a walk to town or short drive. (steep hill but good exercise) Do not hesitate to rent!

The home is very well kept inside and out. The furnishings and decorations are comfortable and cozy. While located in town, with the evergreen trees out back you feel like you are out in the woods, complete with the deer that pass through the yard! And yet a grocery store and downtown are just a short walk away. The location is centrally located in the Black Hills making site seeing super convenient. Check-in and checking out was the easiest we have ever had in many Vrbo locations. The host really wants to make your vacation care free. I give this Vrbo unit and the host my highest recommendation.
