We travel globally extensively and our expectations were missed by this property PROS: *. The property is well located within West End and in walking distance to many restaurants and good snorkeling *. Marvin, the daily caretaker, is wonderful. He cleaned up the pool and deck everyday, checked on us, and was the only one that was consistently responsive. *. We used Detourroatan to arrange chefs and massages. they were great and on time, responsive, etc…Marvin also recommended a private snorkel excursion that was also just what we wanted and terrific. CONS: *. The listing misrepresents water views. The master bedroom has the only true water view and it’s lovely. One of the other bedrooms has an extremely partial view of the water, but the key was lost to unlock the balcony, so it’s not accessible. Also, two of the bedrooms have locks on the outsides from the hallways, but not from the insides. *. We lost power twice during our stay. The backup generator did not operate either time. We reached out to the property management company and he was beyond rude and condescending. He told us the power would be back on in about 45 minutes and it was over 7 hour which means, no A/C, no water (incl toilets), no fridge, no flashlights or candles. The owner refunded about 15% of our fees though. *. Also many cockroaches we had to kill, no blinds or way to keep the light out of the bedrooms…just sheers, roosters and cats, locals getting high right below the deck.

Coral Vista #1 could not have been more perfect for our visit this past week. Maybe it was a bit big for four of us (my husband, sister-in-law and brother-in-law plus me) but we just loved it. The house had everything we needed - incredible snorkeling was right out the door as well as all of the fun and delicious West End restaurants. We hired Leonel at the Water Taxi stand for a half day trip to snorkel, see the dolphins and starfish and visit the Roatan Brewery in Palmetto Bay. It was so much fun that two of our party hired him again to go fishing two days later. They came home with delicious tuna which was used for grilling and ceviche. Marvin took great care of us at the property and Frankie was available for any car transportation we needed. The beds were super comfortable and the porch with the pool was an incredibly relaxing place to sit and read and enjoy the breeze and views. We did hear music from Sundowners in the evening but only until about 9pm. Yes there were a couple of local roosters, but I only ever heard them after I was up. We took a water taxi to West Bay for a day, and while the snorkeling there was incredible, we were so glad we stayed where we did. I can't wait to go back and will rent this house again.

We loved our stay at Coral Vista 1. The property managers are top notch. When we arrived we had a few problems...the safe batteries went dead after we had locked our stuff inside it, and we had no Wi-Fi. The safe was an easy fix, but the Wi-Fi was a challenge. It actually got fixed on a Sunday, which was amazing! Marvin, the on site caretaker was friendly and wonderful, and a great source of information. Liz also was a great help. I highly recommend this property. The snorkeling was excellent, and easy access from the beach right next to the steps in front of Ginger's Restaurant (great food there also!). Our small group of 4 had a great stay here...close to restaurants, some small grocery stores, and water taxi's to West Bay.

The location to all the activities is excellent: snorkeling, resturant and access to all island activities was near perfect! Just walk, land taxi or water taxi, can not bet! The Coral Vista, was as advertised and what you see in the pictures. It was great for 6 adults, each having a bedroom and a bathroom. The master bedroom, with the view of the bay, was spacious! The check in process was easy and quick. Also, when there was trouble with 1, of the 2 whole house AC systems, within 8 hours of reporting (overnight) to Mike with Customer Service, it was resolved. The owner Dennis was equally responsive to enquiries. Marvin, the house man keep the non heated pool and patio clean and neat. Upon arrival, he met us to transport our luggage to and from our unit. Which is a short walk across the beach. You can not pull up a car directly in front the unit. Also, Pedro, our night security guard, was extra bonus. While there is little to no crime against tourist, it was nice extra protection if needed. The only negative, which is systematic of the area, it was a little noisy at night. Also, other then the master bedroom having a magnificent view, the other bedrooms are in the rear of the unit with no view and it’s a little noisier. Our stay was in the busy area of West End. Sitting on the deck was the best. You could scuba dive in the morning and be sitting on the deck in and out of the infinity pool all afternoon. My boys loved using the Kayaks. All the restaurants were within walking distance.

The Coral Vista property offered all the benefits of West End along with a welcome retreat from the lively beach scene. My family of four was enchanted by the secluded deck which offered beautiful ocean views, a consistently nice breeze, and visits from hummingbirds and gray blue tanagers. We enjoyed the opportunity to snorkel the reef that lay just feet outside our door. Although the scenery stole the show, the interior of the property was also very impressive and comfortable. The property owner, Dennis, and our island caretaker, Marvin, were both friendly and very attentive to our questions and needs. It was truly a week spent in paradise!

Many great things about his property. The pool, the view (although they could trim some trees to make it even better), the overall space. Location is the issue. Great location in relation to West Bay and the beach. Poor location in relation to Gingers bar (loud in the evening), people sitting in the grass outside the balcony being loud, and a roost of chickens and roosters that woke us up daily at 4:30 or 5:00am every day. Next time I would move to one of the Coral Vista properties further away from the beach.

We had a wonderful stay at Coral Vista #1. It was very comfortable and spacious for our family of five. Our three kids really appreciated not having to share a room or bathroom. We had some issues with the water the first half of the trip, but Roatan Vacation Rentals did everything in their power to fix the problem. They have excellent maintenance workers who did everything they could until the problem was fixed. After that everything was great! It was very easy to contact Cathy and Liz with Roatan Vacation Rentals. They were always quick to respond. Coral Vista #1 is situated very close to many restaurants and dive shops but still was quiet and private. Our family used Sun Divers for all our Scuba excursions. They are just a short walk down the beach. If you are into diving, I would highly recommend them. We also used the concierge service, Detour Roatan, to schedule a chef, ziplining, and animal sanctuary tour. It was so nice not having to schedule them myself. If you are planning on doing any cooking, I would do a large grocery shopping trip closer to the airport. There are a few smaller markets in West End, but they do not have a big selection of perishable items. The kitchen is stocked with lots of pots, pans, etc. I had no problem cooking. Overall, our family had a great trip and is looking forward to returning!

We arrived on a busy day. The road was crazy, the beach was packed and then we got to our deck. It was surrounded by trees so was quiet and private. So relaxing but only 1 minute to the chaos of town, restaurants and a great reef. The house has filtered water, ice maker, good kitchen and very comfortable

We were a group of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids) who spent one week at this great property. The location was great…Half Moon Bay offered great snorkeling and an overall friendly vibe for our group. We used the kayaks and the group even enjoyed a night snorkel in the bay. We did excursions during the day and enjoyed our beach time as well. We watched many sunsets from Sundowners and had a blast at Hideway Harry’s enjoyed many of the surrounding restaurants as well as cooked a few meals in the spacious kitchen. Marvin was very helpful. When our upstairs AC wasn’t quite working right they fixed it immediately. The house was clean, spacious and fully equipped. This was our first trip to Roatan and I am certain it won’t be our last…what a fabulous vacation.

Had a group of six friends that stayed for a week. The location was fantastic and West Bay was a short boat taxi down the coast for a little more action and tourism...we liked this location MUCH better. We spent a good amount of time on the large patio with plunge pool and snorkeling from the beach right outside the door. It was very private although being right next to the public beach there were some people exploring right below the patio as well as snorkelers and divers cruising by. Having Gingers literally right next door was a plus. The food and service was terrific....ate there several times. A huge shout out to Marvin for keeping our pool and patio clean daily, his knowledge of the area, booking a great tour of the island, and assisting with our airport transportation and baggage handling. I would definitely recommend the island tour and seeing the sloths and monkeys. Also stop by Sandy's Buns for some fresh cinnamon rolls. We will be looking to visit again for sure!!

Covenient and comfortable

The Villa was exactly as pictured. Very well appointed. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Furniture was very comfortable and the location is excellent. Close to restaurants, shops, markets and water taxi. The snorkeling in the bay is amazing! Communication with owner and property management company was great. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Our group of 9 family and friends stayed in Coral Vista #1 over the 2021 holidays. The location for our dive-focused group couldn’t have been better, as we went out with the AMAZING Sun Divers, a short walk away, every day of our visit. Be aware that this location is just beside a very busy town area, with Ginger’s Bar literally next door. Some nights were pretty noisy with parties and fireworks, but we had a great view on New Year’s Eve! No car needed, was a plus, and Roatan Vacation Rentals was super to work with and so responsive! A few nits about this particular unit- it is very shady, with no sunning areas and trees blocking the beach view. Depends on what you want! A few minor repairs needed, as with many rentals, but Liz did what she could upon short notice. The house could use more towel hooks or bars. The master king bed is SO comfortable! Other beds received “fine” reviews. Overall, we had a fantastic 10 days, and were sad to leave!

Couldn't have gotten a better property. The location was perfect. The only downside was having to walk through the beach to get to the property (it's like having warm champagne). However, I expected this and have no problems with it. The property was beautiful and we were blessed with great breezes while we were there (although this is probably unusual for roatan). The big downside was the breezes were so nice there was no reason to get into the pool! No breeze, then get in the pool! Beautiful property in a great location right in West End. I would rent this property again no problem. I would actually love to buy it!

Second time staying here. Location was great and the place was clean, safe, and had everything you could possibly need. Marvin the security guy was extremely helpful. We can’t wait to go back!!!

We prefer West End over West Bay. We love the local vibe and this house is the perfect location for great food, steps to our favorite Scuba shop (Sun Divers), and fabulous snorkeling right outside your door. The management company was wonderful and on-site security was excellent. They helped us with airport transportation and more!! The sink pool was refreshing with a great view - everything promised and more. We will be back!!

The property is nice, very very well located and feels very safe and secure. We had a couple of small experiences with this rental that felt a bit like a bait and switch. There are 4 properties and although the confirmation was for unit 3, they gave us unit 1, which according to others we talked to, is the least nice of the 4 units. So that was a bummer. The $50 extra per person per night beyond 4 people is a pretty steep charge and again felt excessive given that there are 5 beds in the place and it made the property quite pricy for Honduras and even compared with other properties we have rented in Mexico. Would I rent that property again? Maybe, but I would insist on one of the nicer units, and I would only do it if I really needed a space for a large group. If we were just 4 people I would not rent there again.

The location and amenties at this house can't be beat. It is only steps away from beautiful Half Moon Bay. We practically had the bay to ourselves during this week. You can easily swim to beautiful reefs in the bay with thriving coral, fans, fish, eels, squid and other life. Great snorkeling right there without getting into a boat. The bay is also great for paddleboarding and kayaking. There are restaurants, bars and stores within walking distance. Roatan Vacation personnel were so helpful and friendly and we appreciate having Winston available at the property during the day to assist as needed. We had a great time.

This house has an amazing deck with stunning views. The greenery was very pretty as well. It helps offer some privacy but still allows a great view. Because this house is the first and closet to the beach, people do come pretty close to your balcony to enjoy sitting on the rocks. We didn’t encounter any issues with it though. The house is a great size and worked perfectly for our family of six. With that said, it was dated and could very much use some renovations and updating. The rugs seemed dirty, old and hurt my feet. They are a woven material so can’t be washed. Knives were barely useable because they were so dull. A general fix up and paint would really make a huge difference. There was plenty of towels, hot water and dishes. The master bed was okay. Not great but did its job. I would suggest bringing your own pillow but I suggest this for ant place traveled. The management was very easy to talk to and all staff were GREAT. They have a security person sitting basically at the foot of the stairs to the house. He watches all the houses on those rocks. I felt perfectly safe. This side of the island is the quiet side but you can easily pay for a boat to take you to the more visited, tourist side. Or a taxi. All in all I would recommend this property the size, location and view were amazing. You have to walk on the beach to get to your unit. They have a helper with a wheelbarrow to carry any groceries and bags as needed but it is not a handicap accessible unit.

After traveling to West End a few times, I have always wanted to stay in the Coral Vistas. They are central to everything in West End yet still quiet, Coral Vista #1 is just to the left of Ginger's a great spot for seafood and trivia night on Wednesdays! The management company was extremely helpful, great with communication, and check-in was easy! The door has a keypad, so it was easy to check-in and easy to come and go. The house is completely updated, newer appliances, super comfortable beds, great outdoor furniture on each balcony, and plenty of space. We stayed for 7 days and we loved every minute, we would absolutely stay here again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful time!

We had a beautiful stay! The house is very comfortable (really nice beds) and the patio overlooking the bay is sooo comfortable! Comfy outdoor couches To take in the stunning scenery. I felt like I was in the Mediterranean! It was beautiful! Incredibly close to all restaurants and taxis and everything you need on west end. Close to west bay, sandy beach everything js at your fingertips. Great snorkeling right in front of the house on each side of the bay. Marvin was the on-site property manager and he was perfect. Really nice guy so helpful. Security at night was great too!

Great house, one of the best locations to be close to snorkeling, swimming and shops and restaurants! No need for rental car.

Dennis and his property management team were highly efficient with excellent communication. The house was in the perfect spot for restaurants, water taxis and a dive shop (Roatan Divers) is next door. I would highly recommend this spot to my friends.

I chose this vacation rental for my 30th birthday and it was amazing! We arranged a pickup from the airport with Frankie and he was great. He took us to a nearby grocery store for us to have something for the week. The home is right on the beach and the staff are very nice and attentive. They assisted me with setting up chef services and I must say Jennie was AMAZING! Please book her, you will not be disappointed! I will forever compare every seafood dish to the meal she prepared. My friends and I, loved the area and all the local people were also nice and welcoming. Try the bar Blue Marlin if you like karaoke and Splash Inn if you’d like a nice meal. The house it’s self have great rooms and a wonderful view of the beach. There were a few ants but that was expected in tropical weather and the staff assisted us with that immediately. There was also a friendly cat on the balcony but he didn’t pose an issue. We took water taxis instead of paying for cabs services and it was much cheaper ($3). The concierge service was also very helpful with planning excursions and activities! I would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Coral Vista’s #1 is now my family’s favorite vacation! We are a well traveled group, but our family of 10 all agreed that the location, amenities, beauty and price point made our vacation to Coral Vistas’s #1/ Roatan our favorite of all time. Everything you need is footsteps.... littoral footsteps away from your front door. The staff is attentive and courteous, the food surround the villa is fantastic and the sunsets were great! We have already looked into purchasing a property, so we will return soon.

We had a wonderful time at Coral Vista #1 on Half Moon Bay. The house was fantastic with a perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would absolutely go back! Highly recommended!

This villa couldn’t be better located in the heart of the West End. It’s for large bedrooms easily accommodated our group in the living area health 17 with ease. Great view and Decour that was both comfortable and good looking. It’s rare that form equals function!
