"Excellent!" Great location (short walk to the beach), very clean, and the owner was kind, easy to work with and thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

This was our first time to visit Hilton Head. Our usual beach vacation spots typically include OBX and Myrtle Beach. Without a doubt, Hilton Head and this specific rental stands among the best, if not the best time we have experienced. The neighborhood setting is perfect (Palmetto Dunes) on a beautiful street, but especially a beautiful house with many upgrades that have been made. All bedrooms are good size with larger than average TVs with tremendous viewing options, especially the one in the great room overlooking a fabulous private pool. The large kitchen with a huge island is packed with nearly every amenity imaginable. The path leading to the beach is only steps away from the pool area with only a 2-3 minute walk to a beautiful, uncrowded beach. The host, Craig, completes the icing on the cake with this rental. He checks in to make sure all is ready and stays in touch periodically to make sure everything is going smoothly. This is the first time we have been in a vacation rental house where everything worked without a hitch the entire time. The outdoor activities and eating opportunities within a small radius are endless, especially all the bike trails. We do plan to make Hilton Head one of our regular vacation destinations as long as we have the opportunity to stay at 98 Mooring Buoy. Obviously, we highly recommend this rental with its fabulous host.

This is the best house we’ve stayed in on HHI! It truly has it all— great location, well stocked kitchen, amazing deck and pool, as well as lots of seating and king beds for the family! Communication with the owner was top notch and the ability to check in early was a perfect way to kick off our vacation. Would definitely stay here again!

This house was perfect for our whole family. The house has everything you could need. It is in a perfect location with the walking distance to the beach and then having the pool in the backyard. The pool felt very good after some time at the beach. Would definitely stay here again if our family doesn’t grow.

Been to Palmetto Dunes several times and this is the cleanest, most well stocked house we have rented. Everything works, kitchen has everything you need, TV's were great, beds are comfortable, fast WiFi, phone chargers everywhere, plenty of ice, 20 feet from the beach path, A/C worked good. Great communication with the owner. The air mattress was a good fit for the walk in closet for my 3 year old granddaughter.

The house was perfect for our group!! We had two babies, my husband and I and our 2 kids (30 ish) and their spouses. Very close to beach. Kitchen well stocked. We will be coming again.

This is our second trip to this home - It is a true treasure! You can’t beat the location and the property. The heated pool was perfect in April. Tons of upgrades inside the home. Kitchen has everything you need for large families. Communication with the owner was top notch! Any questions we had were answered quickly. Highly recommend

We have been coming to Hilton Head for over 30 years and this was absolutely the best house we have had the opportunity to stay in for our family. The house, pool and location were outstanding. The host and communication was great. We had plenty of room and space for 8 adults. The host went above and beyond and provided excellent communication. We will definitely stay here again!!!

We stayed here for a week with 5 adults and 2 teens and LOVED it! The house was perfect for us, giving us just enough room to fully enjoy our experience. The neighborhood itself puts it over the top! We loved that you could rent bikes down the street, ride to the general store for ice cream/slushees, or walk 60 seconds to the beach, with our own private path. The house backyard was also something we stayed at quite a bit. Large heated pool, hot tub, and large deck with outdoor seating and nice grill. Overall, there is nothing I’d change about the house, with the exception of a fire pit maybe (not even sure if that’s allowed but would be nice!!) We will definitely be back!!

This was our first experience with VRBO and our host, Craig, couldn’t have made it any easier. The house is beautiful with lots of room for everyone! The location was perfect - very close to the beach, a shirt bike ride to the general store, pickle ball and tennis. The pool and hot tub were great. Plenty to do for everyone in our party. Fantastic rental - we highly recommend!!!

REALLY outstanding stay. This was our first time on HHI. Whenever I book, I am VERY conscious about distance from property to the beach. I am happy to report that the listing is very accurate -- three houses back and it is an EASY walk on a paved path. No problem at all going back and forth from house to beach during the day. Owner is OUTSTANDING to work with. Probably one of the best communicators I have had the pleasure of working with through any online listings. VERY attentive and VERY responsive. In short, can't recommend this property enough. Would not hesitate to book here again. If you are thinking of this property, go ahead and pull the trigger. You will be glad you did.

The house was absolutely amazing!! Craig went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great and kept in contact before, during , and after our stay. When he said the house was well equipped , it was that and more. I can’t say enough at how amazing this is. The short walk to the beach was beautiful!! It was almost like you were walking down an enchanted pathway… This was by far the best rental we’ve stayed at for the 20 plus years we have been going to the beach! Definately recommend this house!

98 Mooring Buoy was perfect for our stay from the size of the home, layout of the house, quiet peaceful neighborhood, and perfectly stocked kitchen. We loved the beach access trail for getting to the beach with small children. The homeowners were informative and helpful in every way. Would definitely visit again!!

The house looks as good as in the pictures. It's in a great location, two minute walk from the beach. We were two families with teenagers and everyone enjoyed the stay. Craig the owner was sharing all the relevant details and was easy to communicate with. We will definitely try to come back to this house in the future

This house was well equipped and the perfect location. Three bedrooms on second floor and another bedroom on first floor was a nice step up for two families with kids. Kitchen well stocked for making meals and drinks. Pool was added bonus. Location of home was less than a 5 min walk to beach along a non traffic path way. We'd love to stay here again in the future. Craig was a very responsive host with any questions that we had about the house. 5 Star Service!

The home was beautiful, spacious, and in the perfect location. The owners were so kind, and made themselves available if we needed anything. We would definitely stay there again.

We have been coming to HHI for about six years now. As our family grows we continue to need larger houses. This house was perfect for us. With two seniors (my husband and me) and two children under two and all the young adults in between we all loved it. The short convenient walk to the beach was the best. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of room for puzzles and nightly board games, great pool and all the beach “stuff”you could ever need. Very private. Perfect spot on the ocean with absolutely no crowd. We will go back to this property in the future.

This was a wonderful location for a much needed family getaway. The house was spacious and clean, and has been beautifully updated by the owner. The location can't be beat, right on the beach path and is close enough to run back and forth when needed. But our favorite feature was the pool, which we chose to have heated since the evenings were still cool. Craig, the owner, was very helpful and responsive with tips to help make our stay comfortable. I would highly recommend this property!

The improvements to this property are apparent and make this home a desirable pick. Everything inside is new and offers plenty of space and seating for a large group. Note that the mattresses are new and are on the softer side. I discussed this with Craig prior to our trip and he made sure we had plenty of bedding options so we would have options. There are new /updated amenities in the back yard (new grill, large/ new umbrella table, lounge chairs, pool and hot top). I know the intention is to get rid of the hot tub but we spent a lot of time in it due to cooler weather. There is still work to be done to the exterior (painting, roof, deck) but it's clear the owner is investing heavily to make this a great place to stay. The best Feature, bar none, is the location! The house sits on the main road so it is easy to get too. Note that it's down far enough on Mooring Buoy that it doesn't see a ton of traffic. Access to the beach path is very easy and the beach is close enough that we ran back and forth for drinks / food / bathroom. I would definitely recommend staying at 98 Mooring Buoy if you are headed to Palmetto dunes.

Beautiful home, cozy but with lots of sprawling space. Easy, fun walk to beach, owner helpful and tips were perfect. We definitely plan to return.

This was a great house and the perfect location for our family trip. The house is on the beach path. We were able to use the heated pool but since the beach was so accessible we spent every day sitting by the ocean. The neighborhood/Palmetto Dunes is beautiful. Craig was so helpful and responsive with any and all questions before and during the trip. Since this was our first trip to HHI, we appreciated his recommendations - especially for the fresh seafood option! We loved riding our bikes around the island and for quick trips to the cute general store. We were also able to take advantage of the tennis lessons mere minutes from the house. A great trip. We would definitely do this again!

The house is located close to the beautiful beach. Unfortunately, we spent several hours cleaning when we arrived. The kitchen counters were dirty and the carpet didn’t appear to have been vacuumed. If the normal cleaning wasn’t done, I can’t believe it was disinfected due to COVID. The house was also advertised as having a heated pool, but we were advised a few days before our arrival that would cost an additional $350.

Great house for 8-10 person gathering. Clean, comfortable bedrooms, two generous living areas, and updated kitchen. The deck/pool area is a real feature with a private setting and just steps to the beach. Small criticism- could use more barware in the kitchen. Definite thumps up.

Great house....easy beach access, plenty of space, and great communication with owner. We had 3 couples and it was perfect. Will definitely rent again!

Community is well-located with access to all Palmetto Dunes has to offer including golf, tennis, beach. House is open and ideal for family gathering and group meals by the pool. Beach is just a short walk. Owner was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Would recommend to others and return ourselves.
