The house and the views were beautiful!. Beyond our expectations. Plenty of space for our family. They had a pack and play and a high chair which were perfect for our grandson. We cooked meals and all cookware, dishes, etc. were provided. The pool and garden were well maintained and gorgeous. If we travel to San Diego in the future, we would rent this place again.

We were so happy with our stay at the Avacado House! We were 20 minutes from everything! The pool and gardens were a welcome relief after being on our feet all day exploring! We loved the 3 king beds for 3 couples! It was a wonderful stay for our first trip to California! Thank you!

This home is one of the best weve stayed at. The rooms are spacious, kitchen well stocked, location perfect, and the pool - so beautiful and relaxing. The outdoor space is absolutely stunning. We loved looking at all the beautiful plants. We truly hope to stay here again!

Our family of six totally enjoyed our stay at the Avocado House. The layout of the house, extra bathrooms and gorgeous view (day and night) were all very pleasant and accommodating.
The weather was perfect for using the pool and I loved walking around the property. We created new memories and celebrated lots of events. We chose the Avocado House because it is conveniently close to campus. The property is also about 20 minutes from downtown and most other locations.
Thank you to the host for their responsiveness while booking and answering our questions.
We all enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Avocado House as a great place to spend time together.

This was the best stocked house in ten years. Their kitchen was amazing. Great views of San Diego . We where very pleased. The weather could have been warmer. But that is not there fault

My family of 4 enjoyed the space & comforts of this home. The house is well appointed; secluded from the rest of the area; local restaurants are plenty & surprisingly moderately priced; and most tourist spots we went to/from were within 25 minutes and easy commutes. The weather was a bit chillier than we had hoped for, so unfortunately the pool never got quite warm enough to use, but the outdoor seating areas and garden were lovely.

Our family coming from 4 states (Minnesota, Washington, California and Illinois) had a wonderful time at this property. It was very spacious with comfortable beds. We enjoyed the view (sunrise and sunset). Wish we could have stayed longer. I would recommend this property.

Was moving our daughter into her freshmen year at SDSU. House was better than the details in the VRBO listing. Lots of space, pool and view were postcard worthy. Property owner kept in communication with us while Tropical Storm Hilary was approaching to keep us informed of local alerts and info. Plan to stay here again for an upcoming SDSU visit with our daughter.

What a perfect house! It had beautiful grounds and a seemingly separate location with really no neighbors you could see. There was some road noise but not bad in the morning and evening when we’d sit out by the pool. The location is fabulous, again sort of secluded but blocks from Vons etc. and the house is well maintained, well stocked and had great amenities. The owners were quick to respond to emails. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended to family/friends in the area if they need a place for visitors to stay. Again couldn’t have been more perfect and we appreciated how well appointed the house was. Thanks for such a great place

We all enjoyed your home. We had a brunch for a few hours on Saturday. Although we ordered food from a local Mexican restaurant and did not cook (except for toast) the house and all the kitchenware were perfect. The brunch was for my father-in-law. Although he couldn't stay long because of his health, his visit was comfortable and he was able to see his grandchildren (3) and sons, etc. all in a homey, comforting environment. Thank you for this as this may be the last time we all see him as he is quite frail.
We would love to return in the future when we visit. I plan to recommend your home if I am asked for recommendations from family and friends. Thank you again for creating such a comfortable environment.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was beautiful and exactly like the pictures. We of course loved being outside enjoying the view and swimming in the pool, but the inside was just as great. It felt so secluded, yet so close to get to everything you needed. Many stores are right at the bottom of the hill and it was only about 20 minutes to get to all the major San Diego attractions. We used all the beach supplies, yard games, etc. and overall we found the house very well equipped (we felt like we were at home). Thank you for sharing your house with us - we hope to come back someday!

Amazing View and Comfortable Living
Very accurate description of property and rooms. The house is very large and for larger family was perfectly setup. The room arrangement gave everyone their "own" space and every bed (even the pullout couch) were very comfortable.
The pool was great with an amazing view that the pictures don't do justice - pool was clean and very comfortable for swimming during sunny days.
More than enough room for entire family and some friends (11 in total) to eat inside and/or outside at this house. All the amenities needed for cooking, eating, cleaning, etc.
*only issue was the dishwasher did not clean anything on the bottom rack very well. Easily enough to just do the plates and cookware by hand.
Isolated location provided all the privacy needed, and yet only 15-20 drive to Mission Bay and La Jolla beaches and areas.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the San Diego area.

Wonderful view and property
We had a fantastic stay! Extended family of 7, with 3 small children. Property was well-equipped and comfortable for everyone. Ate every meal outside - incredible outdoor space. Swam in the pool daily. Excellent communication with property owners. So enjoyed the evening views over the city and mountains. Would happily stay again.

Great for a large family
My husband and I traveled to San Diego with our two grown children, their spouses, and our two granddaughters, ages 5 and 6. The house was roomy and welcoming. The location was lovely and the view from the family room was nice. Unfortunately, the weather was cool the entire time we were here. As advertised, the pool heater did not work as it was too chilly, so the kids could only swim the first two days, which followed a warmer spell.
The property was convenient to a grocery store and a Starbucks (very important, LOL.)
All of us thought the beds were very comfortable and the house was well stocked with y the necessities.

Beautiful home with all the amenities!
From the beginning to the end of our stay, we couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay in Jim and Dayna’s home! Beautiful inside and outside! Plenty of places to relax and hang out with family! Even the beds were comfortable! Jim and Dayna were very prompt in responding to us whenever we had a question about anything or when we were having issues with the internet they were quick to address and resolve the problem. We definitely recommend this place to anyone considering renting it. You won’t be disappointed!

Girls Weekend
We spent a weekend at the property with adults and it was perfect! The property and views were gorgeous and everything we did was only about a 20 minute minute drive away. It’s located near plenty of stores and fast food as well. The owners were easy to contact and replied to any of our questions quickly. I would definitely stay again next time we’re in San Diego!

A great spot to chillax
This place was a perfect getaway spot for the family to just relax and hangout for a few days, my son n law had some schooling he had to do so while he was at school we stayed behind and let my granddaughters swim, the pool was perfect for them with the beach entry and it was heated, we pretty much spent the week there did not really need to go anywhere else it was like we were in our own little oasis, my only negative was we wish there was more comfortable seating to accommodate everyone at the end of the day in the living room, but other than that everything was perfect and very clean....I highly reccomend it!

50th birthday getaway
This property was better than the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Loved the privacy of the mountain, the views and the pool of course. It had everything you could need. We had no trouble getting ubers/lyfts. The hosts were very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

GREAT FAMILY RENTAL!
This home was perfect for our kids, grandkids and us to use as our home base while we explored San Diego. There were 10 of us with ages ranging from 4 - 70 years old. The city view is AWESOME….especially at night. The pool was wonderful both during the day and in the evening. Both the inside of the home and the outside, provided ample space for all of us for relaxing, eating, visiting, game playing. The kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation.
