Property lovely and extensive. Everywhere we looked there was a little yard statue or point of interest that almost always started a conversation between us. Nice coming back to the house after a long hot day to that pool. Owner was available for questions but not intrusive.

Great place to stay, good location, if your traveling with toddlers be aware of the steps up to the kitchen was the only concern

This is a beautiful location with comfortable bedding and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The property had everything we needed for our stay. Jeffrey was very accommodating and responsive to our needs. It was not as toddler friendly as I must have thought when booking. The kitchen area is upstairs and the stairs can be slick with ceramic tile flooring. But overall, the home was beautiful and accommodating! Great host!

Jeff was super super communicative! I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The pool and spa were a little different than expected; only one day would have been nice to use. We used the washer once and it seemed like it was going to fall down the stairs but here are all the great things: 1. The yard was amazing, we went on so many adventures and ate grapefruit and oranges 2. It was pet friendly and was so amazing! 3. The kitchen was fully stocked 4. The beds were comfy and had exactly what we needed 5. Great shower supplies; everything we needed! Jeff is a great host!!! I would recommend any stay here!!!

We traveled with my elderly parents and my two children ages 9 and 12 to stay for 5 days in San Diego. This property was fantastic and Jeff the host was great! He answered lots of questions for us about surrounding activities, restaurants and stores. He was very responsive prior to and during our arrival. He does live on site but was not intrusive at all. The grounds of this house are beautiful! It has a fantastic view and their are numerous fruit trees. The house was great for us. I would say the stairwell is a bit slick but not a problem by any means. Beds are very comfortable. I would stay here again. It is also a good location for enjoying the surrounding area.

This place was possibly the best place I've ever booked. It was so nice and easy to check in. Jeff was very much the best host. He was immediately present upon arrival. He was very welcoming into the property. Place was extremely functional and clean. Never have been to such an impeccable place. I would recommend this place to all of my people, for when they vacation in San Diego. I can't even process more to say other than, this vacation and stay will forever be imprinted in my brain as a full vacation experience.

The property has two rental units. This one was perfect for Grandparents on lower level and Kids and Grandkids on upper level. The other unit is a single level. This unit had everything we needed + extras. The pool was clean and maintained. The property manager supported all request and RESPONDED back almost immediately. EVEN after we left the property. This was a STANDOUT of all our short term rentals.

Jeffrey’s is my go-to place to stay when visiting my son at SDSU. It’s quiet and peaceful with a great outside space to enjoy southern CA weather! Super comfy beds too!

Or overall experience was fantastic. The house was amazing our kids loved the pool, and the deck was extremely relaxing. The owner was on site and very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be booking there again.

Our host Jeffery was a really fabulous host. Hands on and so helpful. We were able to bring our dog and enjoy the beautiful terrace garden. The deck is so enjoyable, pool and the views are spectacular. It’s a very comfortable, quiet space.

First of all, Jeff was fantastic. He was quick to respond to any questions prior to our stay and was flexible if our flight came in early for check-in. Once we were there on the property he was helpful and friendly and looked out for his guests. This is a shared property with another rental (we were lucky and had good experiences with the other renters while we stayed there as well), and Jeff lives upstairs. We never had an issue sharing the common space (pool, BBQ, hot tub) and there is a ton of outdoor space for seating and wandering. There are fruit trees on the property that Jeff lets you pick from, the lemons were our personal favourite. We were travelling with two-and-a-half year old twins and it was a perfect unit to stay in with myself, my husband, my toddlers, and my parents. This unit is the one you can rent if you have non-swimming aged children as the unit has a latched gate separating your unit from the pool, where as the other unit's door opens directly into the pool area. My husband and I stayed in the room upstairs with our toddlers, it has a queen bed and a day bed with a trundle pull out, perfect for two kids. Things to note: the pool is not heated (which did not bother our children in the least) and the stairs in the unit are tile (if you have young kids staying there, perhaps consider bringing a gate to prevent a slip). The view from the property is gorgeous and the weather we found was warmer there than in San Diego (not being directly on the water). However, it was close enough to San Diego that our day trips to the Zoo, Sea World and the Safari Park were easy to get to. We would hands-down book again at the property and with Jeff and it would be a great place to stay with a large group and book both suites. Thanks Jeff for a great family vacation!

We decided to make a weekend out of the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. Normally we'd stay in a hotel, but we decided to rent a VRBO instead. Best decision. This was a quiet, relaxing way to end a long day walking at the parks. Beautiful back yard, gracious host and plenty of room for all of us to stretch out.

We had a great time at this property. Host was awesome and very helpful. I've never slept so well away from home. Very clean and what great views.

We enjoyed our recent stay in this Mount Healix-area property. The owner was very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay. The flat itself was as advertised. The 2 bedrooms are quite roomy and have great beds/linens. Bathrooms are fine and having 1 up/1down is convenient. The kitchen appliances are very good and the entire kitchen/eating area is good sized. The pool area is really nice and so are some of the other outdoor nooks and seating areas - lovely gardents! Our bad for not knowing that this entire area is so hilly (the driveway is a killer!) that running/cycling is really not possible from the house. Otherwise, great area, great property, terrific owner.

The townhome we stayed in was great! Jeff made the process very streamlined and there was no confusion about anything. The home had everything you would need for your perfect getaway and more. The ultimate in comfort is made even better by air conditioning! Relaxing in the spa and by the poolside was a great afternoon treat. We would absolutely stay here again with no hesitation.

Beautiful, quiet, and well-maintained property with outstanding views of Mount Helix and the surrounding area. It was our "home away from home" for a week while work was being done on our house, and we were extremely pleased with our choice to stay here. The owner truly cares about the property, is very friendly and accommodating, allows pets, and we would recommend this property to anyone.

Excellent residence

My daughters and I had a great time here. The house has a beautiful view. There is a great deck with a pool and hot tub. My daughters loved the pool slide. The rental was very spacious and clean. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

This place is so beautiful tucked away in a gorgeous mountain setting with hot sunny days and cool nights. The owner has thought of everything a guest might need. It is well maintained and has beautiful flowers and fruit trees along a wandering path like a secret garden. The oranges were ready to pick which Jeff, the owner invited us to do. They may have been the best I've ever tasted. Our Family of 13 rented both units which made it so nice to not have to share the pool, hot tub, or fire pit with outsiders. The more active of our group loved visiting the various parks, cliffs, and hiking places while the grandma's stayed more poolside. Everyone went to the ocean to surf (grandma's watched) and enjoyed the seals at La Jolla and shopping at Old Towne. We were within 20 minutes of everything and a lot closer to stores. We cooked in every night (Covid 19) but found that to be rather fun with 2 well stocked kitchens and a great grill area. Just be sure to discuss cost with Jeff so there are no surprises. Our time in this paradise went by too fast as we made many memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Jeff and you adorable puppies.

As long as you avoid rush hour traffic, it's a remarkably quick trip to downtown attractions. The place had everything we needed and if anything ran out or there was a problem, Jeff was on it. He is a gracious host - and he has 2 adorable pups! We particularly appreciated the large walk-in closet where we could store our winter gear. As noted, there are lots of steps but if you are in reasonably good condition, they shouldn't be a problem. PS: the oranges are delicious!

Positives: Jeff is friendly and helpful, beautiful area and great location within 20 min of everything we wanted to do, home had everything we needed for 4 kids and 2 dogs. Less than ideal: awkward walking in front of neighbors large windows every time we went in/out of the rental, be sure to review closely the total costs before clicking submit if you have more than 2 guests. We made a rookie mistake and paid for it

Nice property

Great stay, clean home, lots of spiders but the house was amazing.

First I want to say that Jeffrey is a kind, easy-going person to speak to. On our way home, my wife realized that she lost her earing in his house. He found it and mailed it to us FOR FREE. The views from his house are spectacular. My kids swam forever and mastered the installed slide. The jacuzzi/hot tub gets nice and hot and accomadates two adults comfortably. The atmosphere on the back patio is totally relaxing and perfect for dining and drinking and resting. The kitchen is stocked and has a washer and dryer. Only downfall: for the older folks there are some steep stairs on the inside, and it could also use just a little better scrubbing as there was some pet hairs on the dining room chairs. Otherwise though we'll be looking Jeffreys place up in a minute the next time visit San Diego. Hope you enjoy!

Wonderful vacation. We really enjoyed our stay in Mount Helix. The townhouse was great with wonderful views, and easy access to wherever we wanted to go. There was a nice pool and hot tub and sitting areas overlooking the yard and surroundind mountains. There were parks and walking trails nearby. The yard was beautiful with the flowers and accent areas for walking and relaxing. The townhouse was clean and open with a nice kitchen and dining area and plenty of area to relax. The owner was very friendly and very helpful in making the stay as pleasant as possible.

Jeff was great. Responded to what we needed and was flexible too. The property is located picturesquely at the base of Mt. Helix. Pool and spa a nice addition. Great for a family trip.

This is a beautiful townhome with two bedrooms and two baths! It is modern, clean and very comfortable! The owner is fantastic to work with and lives on premises so is there if you need anything !’ The view of Mt Helix is awesome and getting around was good! Easy drive into San Diego and surrounding areas! Would highly recommend staying here! We are already planning a return trip in a couple of years! Thanks Jeffrey!

Very positive - everything was clean and neat. The only issue we had was the distance from parking to the unit -- a lot of stairs to get there and then stairs inside...just a lot of stairs for older people --- but overall we were very pleased and would certainly reserve again (perhaps bringing less luggage!).
