We came for a quick mother daughter retreat and enjoyed the beauty of the views out the big glass doors that faced the water. The location was central to our purpose of wanting to explore the area. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and sitting area is open for a nice space to enjoy together while cooking or watching a movie. The kitchen supplies provided were sparse but we came prepared so it wasn’t an issue. The house was much smaller than we had envisioned but was adequate for the 6 of us. Overall the house was not very clean but when we spoke to the rental agency, they made it right. Our fall dates did not permit us to have use of the docks or decks. Due to the many windows and older seals around the sliding doors, the house was drafty and would not be a place we’d be warm enough in if temps were colder. It would be lovely in the summer. Overall we were happy with our stay.

We brought kayaks and games to this vacation stay and had a great time relaxing. The beds were decently comfortable. Highly suggest bringing rafts to float on and water shoes, as the ground is rocky for swimming. There are also several wineries nearby, the Women's Rights National Park, and stores close in Seneca Falls. There are phenomenal hikes/waterfalls less than an hour away too. For the price, a few things should be updated / corrected. We love cooking our own healthy meals, but the supplies provided were incredibly lacking. There was one pan that was in such poor shape, we couldn't even use it. The knives were old and dull. There wasn't even a cookie sheet. It also seemed like a dish washer would be in the house as it was included in the "packing list" emailed to bring dishwashing pods, and it was included in the "get started" pack provided by the agency. The sliding glass doors also need to be shut at night or bugs will get in because the screens have tiny holes. They do warn you about that when you check in, however, the best part about being on the lake are the sounds of the waves. It was disappointing to have to cut that off in the evenings. You are also only provided a few items, like 2 toilet paper rolls, 2 trash bags, and one paper towel roll. We've stayed in numerous Airbnb's and other rentals where they provide these items to you for the length of your stay. Again, for the price, I would have expected to have these items provided.

This property was in a perfect location close to many wineries, farmers markets, and restaurants. The house was Beautiful and very easy to get to! We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to go back again!

This is a lovely property. Clean, bright, very well maintained, comfortable, peaceful and quiet. We love staying here and look forward to returning.

First rate experience from beginning to end. Property manager is on top of things and proactive—immediate responses to communications and very helpful smartphone app that includes everything you want to know. Location is excellent; house is clean and comfortable — everything works. No disappointment here. Will be happy to go back. Deck and dock are great — really good.

Our four-week rental started at the end of September and covered most of October. We hated to see it end. The view from the balcony was great. Sunrises and starry nights over the water were gorgeous. The master bedroom was warm and comfortable. The kitchen was clean and well-equipped. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. We found Lakeside Getaway to be a good fit for two adults, though maybe a little cramped for four. (We shared the home with our daughter and son-in-law the first two weekends.) The review just ahead of ours was a little surprising. Although the love seat and the bed in the small bedroom were somewhat worn, they were in better shape than some furniture we've come across in 5-star country hotels, both in the US and abroad. The rest of the furniture and the appliances were in great shape. We thought the price we paid for the rental was reasonable - a good value actually- and look forward to returning as soon as time permits.

The property is run down with furniture that is old and in poor state. The 2seater was so filthy on seat and headrest that we refused to use it. The property was dirty on arrival even though we had requested a thorough clean and check by the agents. They let the landlord [owners] down. To attract overseas renters owner/agent must provide simple appliance as hair-dryer as renters like us from UK will not bring hair dryer as there is a voltage difference between UK and USA Pity the property has been over traded and in our humble opinion requires refurbishment on an urgent basis Views are stunning and water sports is on the doorstep

The four of us were so looking forward to this trip to the Finger Lakes n the Beautiful Cottage we were renting!First we were not happy that the cottage was not secure-the lock in the sliding door in the kitchen leading to the deck was broken n a STICK was placed there to keep the door shut!! Then the couches were terrible-the beige couch I think ALL the springs were broken-terrible! Both mattresses in the bedroom should be replace a real back breaker-then there is NO chest of drawers in the small bedroom was living out of suitcases n bags n tripping over them-unacceptable! For the $$ we spend it should have been a lot nicer!Very Disappointed-will not recommended that cottage or you to anyone I know-Sandee Kugler

This house was excellent. Stayed with another couple and although it rained most every day, we still had a great time. The dock is wonderful and was a great place for fishing. The kitchen has everything you can think of, well, except for a dishwasher, but that is okay, I brought him with me!! LOL. Plenty of seating for playing games (many are already there) or eating or watching TV. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were sufficient. Although being only 5 foot tall, I did have to use the stepladder in the kitchen to get up on the bed!!! Overall, great place!
