Large fenced property. Great for dog. Peaceful quiet comfortable and clean. Had a challenge with propane oven host responded immediately. Great for family gathering. Close to hiking mountain and local wildlife viewing.

Beautiful, clean, fun, well-equipped home. It feels great to be in the place. Lots of outdoor space. Near Julian, a short drive away. We would most definitely go there again.

This is our second time staying here and it won't be that last. The property is beautiful and has something for everyone. It is a very short drive into "downtown" Julian, but we were happy to spend most of our time at the house.

We had a wonderful time. It rained the entire time there but there was much to keep us entertained. This vrbo is highly recommended.

The Julian Farmhouse is definitely one of the BEST properties we have ever rented. We’ve been VRBOers for many years, including internationally, and the Farmhouse is one of our favorites. The charming house and the peaceful, beautiful property is fantastic! Everything for your comfort and enjoyment has been thought of and supplied. And EVERYTHING (plumbing, mechanical, electrical, electronics) is in perfect working order, right down to fresh batteries in the candles and flashlights. The beds and bedding are so comfy and inviting, the kitchen is incredibly well stocked, and the amenities list goes on and on. Hot tub is clean, fresh and, well…hot! I can’t begin to adequately describe this house and it’s surrounding acreage. We, our grown children and their dogs truly love it. We will be back again and again.

There are so many fun little unexpected items of whimsy on this property. It’s beautifully laid out. There’s fun lawn art all throughout the 2 acres. My dogs could run free as it’s completely fenced in and I did not have to worry about them taking off. Very comfortable beds, and linen. Can’t wait to go back and play in the roost during a warmer temperature.

Highly recommend this rental near Julian! It is close to the main town and has so many amenities. Everything was wonderful. Clean, easy check in and check out, hosts were communicative, beds were comfortable, water pressure in showers was great, central air, the list goes on and on. We are already planning our next visit. We came up with three adult couples for a wedding this weekend, and now we want to come back with our kids.

This house has everything you would want in a vacation home in Julian. The owner was so easy to work with, she always answered my questions in a timely manner. The house is just a few minutes to Main Street in town with lots of shopping, restaurants and wineries. The lake is also just a short drive about 20 minutes away. The property has everything you could possibly need or want. It has a Jacuzzi, pool table, horse shoes, poker table, and corn hole. It has a Large fenced in yard and the home itself is just beautiful. Courtney, the owner, really makes you feel welcome. This was my second time booking this property and I’m looking forward to booking it again for my family’.

This was a great place to stay to attend our daughter's wedding at Sacred Mountain. The wedding venue was only about 10 minutes away and the charming town of Julian is even closer. There were plenty of beds for our group of 6. The house is beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, the hammock, the horseshoes, and the tire swing. We did not even get a chance to use the pool table. The kitchen is well equipped. Courtney was very kind and responsive. When my husband (the father of the bride) realized that he had left his dress shirt at home, Courtney immediately gave us suggestions for finding a replacement shirt. We would be happy to stay here again. We might have to return to Julian to eat some more pie!

Courtney was amazing!! She was always quick to answer all my messages and gave suggestions on where to eat. The property has everything thing you need to have a great time!! The house is beautiful and the beds are super comfortable. We had a girls weekend and it was the best one yet. The town of Julian is so cute with lots of places to eat and shop and several wineries near by. If you are looking for THE most beautiful property in Julian (rivals others in other cities as well), AND a hostess that is beyond kind and thoughtful, look no further! It's no wonder that this place books up solid, year round.

Let me tell you, we don't travel without our dog. This quaint home and surrounding property was perfect for him and our family. He ran free every chance he could get. There were even dog beds, toys, food, and water bowls available. For a person who doesn't have animals you don't have to worry about dog smells or anything. It was so fresh and crisp when we walked in. The look and feel of the house took me back in time to a more comfortable era. I didn't have a worry in the world. To sit on the wrap around porch and drink my coffee was everything. My days didn't feel rushed. The rooms and beds were so comfortable. The shower felt like I was under a waterfall. We roasted marshmallows, had a BBQ, and enjoyed the spa. "The Roost" had an old barn feel and was loaded with games, movies, and lots of things to do. Reminded me of a man cave. We also enjoyed darts, pool, and the sauna. The owner responded to all my questions so fast. It was amazing the communication she had. Also answered every question I had within 15 minutes. She told me all about the restaurants in town and even found dog friendly ones for me. We will be returning in September for apple picking if she will have us. This is my go to get away!!!!!

This location was perfect for our recent retreat. The house had all the amenities we needed for meals, and provided a peaceful environment to relax. The only problem I ran into was a lack of cell phone service on the property, but that might be a benefit for those looking to get away and disconnect. Thank you!

Many upgrades to the property make this a top Julian destination. The furnishings are first rate with recent upgrades to bathrooms and kitchen. 3rd time visiting this property and it gets better and better.

We had a mini family reunion here with my and my brother's families (four adults, four kids) who hadn't seen each other in 2.5 years. It was perfect. The home was absolutely beautiful, and we were lucky enough to be there just after Christmas so it was all decorated with Christmas trees, lights, and other fun decor that the kids loved. It was a perfect getaway location only about a mile from downtown Julian. All of us agreed that it would be a great property to stay in year-round since there is a lot to do outdoors and indoors, regardless of the weather. The owner was also very responsive and helpful from start to finish - it was all a very seamless process. You could tell they considered even the little details to make it a more accommodating visit by including motion-sensored nightlights in every room and hallway upstairs so you could find your way around at night, and labeling all the light switches so it was clear what switch controlled what area. They even had sweet little bed trays with water bottles, hot chocolate and tea packets, and chocolates for each bed. The bedding was so comfortable that I took pictures of the labels so I could get the same for my home. They also had updated showers with windows so you could see the beautiful property while showering. All in all, we loved this home and only wish we could have stayed longer.

Seriously the pictures cannot do this property justice. And Courtney is so kind. When we arrived the jacuzzi was already heated and ready to go so we were able to hop right in! The kitchen is amazingly stocked with any cooking or serving utensil you could think of. And despite dogs being allowed on the property, the home was immaculately clean (coming from someone very allergic to dogs!). Courtney’s personal touches are everywhere in the house and it really makes this beautiful house feel like home. We are already planning our next vacation here!
