We came to get a mountain experience with our grandsons. It was everything we thought it would be. The cabin was spacious, yet cozy. We enjoyed the patio/deck. We even got up early to enjoy the meteor showers!

This was our first visit to Julian and to this beautiful home. There was plenty of space for our family of five and we truly felt at home in this lovely getaway. The home is well stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare dinners, play games or just relax. We did a lot of all three!! My favorite part of the home is the large back deck that has an incredible view. And of course, the tall ceilings and windows which gives the place a very open, light and spacious feel. The deck is perfect to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and is shaded in the evening for dinners on the family size table. There is also a gas grill with provided propane for a BBQ. We loved being able to stargaze at night. There is one neighbor to the west (right side when looking out) that leaves their back porch light on all night which causes some light pollution, but there is still plenty of darkness to see hundreds of stars. The location is perfect, just two miles from town. Just far enough away to feel isolated, but close enough to make quick trips for dining out, shopping, or to pick up groceries. We were all very sad to leave, but I promised we’d return to make more family memories. You can definitely feel the love in the home and we are looking forward to returning again soon. This was a rare find. Beautiful location, super quiet with stunning views. It was the perfect home to chill out after a day of hiking and visiting the shops in Julian. The owners were very responsive and extremely helpful in their communications. I highly recommend this home for your next getaway.

Beautiful and serene.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a week and had the most wonderful time. The home was clean and cozy and you could tell it is loved. The views were incredible, especially during the two days it snowed. Very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need. We had a small issue when we first checked in but the property manager promptly corrected it. They were also very responsive before and during the stay. We would definitely stay here and highly recommend.

It's a beautiful home, very comfortable. A relaxing place to stay on a rainy day in the mountains. We only took a star off because we had some issues with electricity in the kitchen and bathrooms, though they were addressed immediately.

It’s a pleasure place for retreat! We would come again if any chances.

This is our second time renting the home. We have a blended family that for the most part live in Julian. We travel from northern california for holidays to visit with family. We found that this house made a wonderful place to visit with family. Thank you so very much.

We had a great time. It is spacious. Everything we need is there. Very quiet and peaceful.

It was exactly at it states and then some, my kiddos and I did not want to leave and are defiantly coming back. Their were a occasional spiders and ants but that’s California for you. Felt very homey, provided a lot to make your stay easier. Communication was punctual. We will be back soon.

Wonderful house in Julian, close to downtown and Cuyamaca Lake. Very spacious with luxury everything, giant windows and extra tall doors to the porch. The house has smart Enviromental controls that turn the air off when you leave and back on when you get back. My family and I had a wonderful stay, not one negative thing to sat. Absolutely perfect.

Your place was cozy and welcoming. It was furnished with all the accessories necessary for a comfortable visit. We enjoyed the setting, the touching family books/stories "I am a coal miner's daughter......." and the beautiful surrounding nature. We thought the cleaning fee was rather high and we would be reluctant to use your place for a short stay again only for that reason.

This house is situated in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. The view is spectacular. The house itself is well equipped and set up nicely Family gatherings or just a simple weekend getaway. Can highly recommend this property

We loved it! It was spacious loved the location. We plan on going back but stay more then a couple days.

We enjoyed every minute of our one week stay. This house is beautiful, secluded and has everything you need for a luxurious stay. Big kitchen well equipped, fantastic sitting area with massive TV that is pre-programmed with Netflix, Disney and YouTube plus PS4 preloaded with several games. Nice dining table inside and on the terrace. Beautiful cast iron stove plus several electric space heaters. Decent library and board games. Amazing views, trees and birds singing. The lelescop is a nice touch but we couldn't make it work even we had a similar one. Lots of big windows but they need some cleaning. The only thing that need improvement are the three sofa sleeper: the spring mattresses are old and very uncomfortable. The thin memory foam mattress topper did not help. The entire region is stunningly beautiful. Nice local hiking trails.

Loved the property. Beautiful house. Clean and well kept. The large windows are a plus point. It was nice to read about the family. Only thing that was missing were soaps and shampoo. We had to go to the town to get them. But all in all we had a very good time.

My husband and I started coming to Julian in the 80s to celebrate our December birthdays. We stayed at The Julian Hotel. They graduated to no children policy and we graduated to VRBO. This was our first, Julian VRBO, but not our only one. It has become the favorite and a tradition. The house had a Christmas tree the first time we stayed there and that made a lasting impression. Romano's restaurant and Julian Cafe, best in town. Watch for the play "Christmas Carol" and performance of "Messiah".

We stayed here for a wedding in Julian. It was very nice and the house is beautiful and comfortable. We had a minor issue with the tv that was resolved very quickly. Highly recommend!

What an amazing amount of work plus love and care have gone into this property! Read the coffee table book to find what years of family dedication it took to complete this dwelling. The result is a house of comfort at every turn--sofas, pillows, warm throws...and then that view above the treetops and into the clouds! If you cook, you will find every appliance and tool plus two ovens and a microwave. The Wi-fi worked perfectly as did the TV for streamed shows--two real pluses for a mountain property. Exit requirements were as easy as it gets--clean dishes back in place, towels into a laundry basket, trash put in outside trash cans--5 minutes of effort at most. Thank you SO much to all who made this a lovely home stay experience. We loved every minute!

Lovely long weekend

Really comfortable and quiet location. The house has been built with such care and attention. It feels like coming home. 40 foot ceiling and expansive views make this place suitable for a quiet retreat or a large gathering. Now that we better know the area, this a house we want to return to on future visits.
