This was our third visit. Have stayed at different places in Julian and this place by far is our favorite. Serene, comfortable and close to town. Clean, great amenities with everything you need for a home away from home.

We have stayed here the past 3 Thanksgivings and it is always a pleasure! Greta location, quiet place, plenty of room for everyone to relax. New appliances in the kitchen is a bonus!

The owners retired a couple years ago, apparently. The current property manager is rude and very unprofessional. Avoid staying here. The management will make you regret it.

A charming, quaint house, 5 of us were very comfortable. The outdoor spaces are equally lovely. It is very conveniently located to the downtown area but not walking distance. Tucked away in an orchard, it’s quiet and secluded. Communication pre check-in was excellent and no issues getting in and getting settled. We were given LOTS of good information about where to eat, what to do and also hiking and outdoor options. We would definitely go back!!! Many thanks for the hospitality and the apple cider!!!

Wonderful roomy house in a perfect location. Beautiful views of the mountains and close to everything. We went on hiking trails close by shopped and dined in town. The house is absolutely perfect.

We enjoyed The Orchard House so much! Just minutes from downtown Julian, but seemed miles away. The view from the porch is amazing. We loved watching the wild turkeys and hummingbirds. There is great hiking nearby. We had fun stomping grapes at the Grape Stomp Festa. Loved hard cider tasting. Enjoyed Julian Farm and Orchard. And oh my is that Julian apple pie the absolute best!

We loved our stay here. House was so roomy and has a peaceful vibe with a relaxing porch. All the beds are on the firm to hard side fyi. Kitchen is roomy and nice amenities ( though stove/oven is old) The house is big enough for a large family. lots of nice places to bird watching right from the house or go for a drive.

Our company needed to do some testing at a site that was close and everything was booked in Julian. We scrambled for something and found this listing. Turned out to be the best of everything for us. Convenient, clean, and the communication with the owners was outstanding. Fabulous stay that we will be looking at again.

This was a beautiful farmhouse and I agree with other reviewers the pictures do not do it justice. We stayed for 4 days in January and even though it was cold and rained heavily one day the house was completely secure and warm. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable and they had an abundance of seating areas inside and outside of the house so you would not be getting in anyone's way. The kitchen was very large with 2 separate dining areas. We will definitely be staying here again!

Great location on a hill overlooking Julian. The house was clean and very festively decorated for the Holidays. Kitchen is well-stocked. Fantastic views from the 6 acres the property is on, and is great for walks with the dogs. Steve was very helpful! It feels very private but is only minutes from downtown Julian. We'll be back!

My wife and I brought our toddler and Labrador with us for a quick 2 night getaway. We loved this place! It is a big 3br with a beautiful porch, on an apple orchard with tons of room to wander. Our dog especially loved having the room to roam. We plan on staying at this place again during our next Julian getaway.

This home was perfect for our group of six, two parents with three 30-something children and a friend who were in Julian for a family wedding. The home sits atop a long windy dirt road in a beautiful apple orchard so it's a hike if you want to bop into town on foot. But honestly, once up there, you really don't want to leave! Three spacious bedrooms and a living room couch along with two full baths comfortably accommodated everyone. The photo of the "little blue house" is deceiving! There is so much space in this well laid out home yet roomy common areas as well so we always had the option to be all together or private whenever needed. A "laundry" room provided lots of hanging space with hangers and iron and board. The kitchen was modern, clean and well-equipped. The most pressing problem was deciding where to park yourself to meditate or read or snack or work (daughter unfortunately had work commitments but wifi was fine)... hmmm...the long deck with the view of Vulcan Mountain or the patio among the warm breeze, twittering birds and flowers. Steve is a most gracious host, easy to contact and happy to do what ha can to make you feel truly at home.

This was our second visit to the house and as enjoyable as the first. A minor issue, on arrival, was quickly sorted and the property manager - Stephen - has been very responsive whenever we have needed assistance. Somehow, the perfect positioning of the porch makes it the best place to while away the days when trying to stay cool in Julian. There always seems to be a gently breeze to counter the summer sun. We travel with our dog, Bumper, and he loves this place too.

A very peaceful retreat for the family.

This property was in the perfect area for our dogs to run and play, with beautiful evening views, we enjoyed looking at nature on the back deck and patio. The location is quiet and private, exactly what we were looking for. This house was like a home away from home. The 6-Acre Apple Orchard Lane around us was truly a great experience to relax and enjoy our stay without leaving the house. Patio and Deck with lights just give the feeling of peace and serenity. Each room has a special and personal touch. We loved staying here! Stephen is the great Host and Manager, he was there to welcome us and give us a tour of the property and a little of history. This is a 5 Stars house and we recommend staying here. Definitely, we will come back again! Our thanks to the owners, Stephen and the Crew. Great job! Matt & Gabriela

Very nice place and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

We had a lovely stay. The home was accessible for our 95 year old mother and her walker. Beautiful views, plenty of outdoor space, roomy for 4 women, comfy beds, nice linens, well appointed kitchen and good communication with Stephen. Our only negative was we saw a bit more nature inside than we wanted. A mouse in the family room that evaded the glue traps set down and the alligator lizard that did find one. Stephen was responsive to our critter concerns however and did come by and attempt a solution.

My husband and I, my brother and our mother drove in from Arizona and took a week to stay in Julian, Ca. We had stayed here previously in April - loved it so much, we came back! This time, we spent more time at the house just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful cooler weather. Took naps and ate meals outside on the lovely patios. The beds are comfortable along with the living room where we watched television at night. The house is pretty spacious inside, and we agree with other reviews that the pictures don't do it justice. We saw wild turkey's and deer wondering about the property and the apples were starting to grow larger on the trees. We Walked down the hill and up to the entrance - to the left, the dirt road took us into a sports park and the right side of the dirt road took us into the lovely town of Julian, which is about a 20 min walk. Lots of shops to visits, we liked the candy store best! Our favorite place to eat lunch is the Julian Café and we purchased our apple pies at the Julian Pie Company. We all like to go antiquing and there are many to visit by car in neighboring towns Wynona and Ramona.

We stayed for a weekend for a wedding. Sadly, we didn’t get to spend too much time at the house, because it is is so spacious, quiet, secluded, and lovely. The property manager was so friendly and communicated well. The house held our family so easily with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, and it has a large living room, dining room, kitchen, and wrap around deck with views of the hills and apple orchards. I would love to come back just to relax at the house and on the deck!

The house is really nice spacious, well equipped and lots of amenities. Hot water in the shower worked just Divine, it was a rather cool weekend and somewhat windy outside so we all enjoyed our hot water showers! However cleaning could be improved a little bit as they were faces with cobwebs located throughout the house near windows, doorways on top of picture frames etc. with that little extra care towards cleaning this will definitely be a five star property.

The four of us had a great time here. the reviews were correct, the pictures do not do the place justice. Large rooms and wonderful open kitchen and living area. Love the large porch and view. Beds were just right for all of us. It was a 20 min walk into Julian, which we really enjoyed. The walk back up the side of the hill to the house was quite a trek - especially at the last bit, but we made it! We did this walk every day. Would love to be here when there are apples on the trees! Stephen was great and made us feel right at home. Will definately return!

Our family and our big puppy enjoyed our second stay in this lovely vacation home on an apple orchard! Beautiful views and a well kept home and property. This home has everything you need…even games for the kids. Very close to town for shopping and fun! was a wonderful week! Thank you! Cindy D.

This was our second time to this glorious property! This time we brought my parents with us to enjoy the spacious home. Everyone had their own bed (kids and couples) it was everything we needed and wanted! Spring is my favorite time to stay at this property and enjoy Julian. I love taking photographs here and making memories with my kids and husband. My dogs love strolling the fully fenced enormous property with us. The orchard is divine in Spring with all the apple trees in bloom. I cannot get enough of the back patio when the Wisteria is blooming in beauty. This property is 2-3 minutes to the quaint town of Julian and your off a private road so it is quiet and private. We love going into town and grabbing a pie or lunch but being able to quickly be back in the peaceful home with no one else around. This is the best of both worlds. The host Steve is gracious, communicative when booking and able to answer any questions you may have while staying there. The home is large and we (6 of us plus 2 full size dogs) never felt on top of one another or cramped in any way. The large porch off the kitchen and master bedroom with the porch swing is heavenly. The view is delightful! If you’re wondering where to stay in Julian this is it. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and filled with wonderful memories.
