Absolutely loved this place! My 3rd time to San Jose and by far my favorite. Communication was excellent from property mgr and owner. Clean. Perfect location! Spectacular view. Condo has everything you could need. They even got groceries for me PTA. We will def be back!

The overall condition of the property was excellent. We come to SJD every year and stay at this complex; however, this was the first time at this property. I like that it's located on the second floor, and we were able to see the waves. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding was soft. You pay a little more for the larger square footage, but well worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay in Clare's condo at El Zalate. This condo's location is well suited to enjoy both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose and is importantly, a very quiet location. Its a great property for families as it is steps away from the beach and there are multiple pool options (two pools and a hot tub). We would certainly stay here again on our next trip to Baja.

Absolutely loved our stay in this condo. El Zalate was perfect for our family trip. We Could walk to restaurants on the beach close by or into town. And a quick 10 minute Uber ride into old town or 25 minutes to Cabo. This was the first time to the Baja that we didn’t rent a car and we didn’t miss it. Great location. Large condo-perfect for a family of four. Kids loved the beach and surf. Claire was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

We loved Clare’s condo unit at El Zelate. It was easy to find, great parking, fantastic pools with a great view. The list can go on and on. It was also a nice surprise that we were within a 20 minute walk to the grocery store and enjoyed the Mama Mia’s restaurant just next door. Nice and quiet, but family oriented. We’re hoping to visit again! Thank you for the great stay!

Had a great 2 week stay in Clare's condo. Spacious, clean, great location, all the amenities you will ever need. Enjoyed the pools, ocean views, and quick access to all the area has to offer. We've stayed in a few San Jose properties but this has to be our favorite. Could easily make it our home. Clare was great to work with and couldn't be more responsive.

Very beautiful grounds , pool and beach. Condo is very nice. No restaurant / bar or activities though. Have to Uber to find things to do. Besides the restaurant next door. if relaxation and quiet time is what you want then it is great.

We really enjoyed our stay at this spacious, well appointed, comfortable condo in a great location.

Clare's oversized suite is amazing. The kitchen is well equipped. There are two types of coffee machines which we appreciated. The beds are very good. El Zalate is truly exceptional and we can't wait to come back to this complex. We've used VRBO a number of times in various countries, but the communication and response time with Clare was the best we've experienced. We made a small request when we first arrived and her property manager had appeared within a couple of hours to help us out. We will definitely be recommending this place to our family and friends.

This will be are third year staying at this same location and like always it was great.

Claire’s unit is spacious, clean, and loaded with everything you would possibly need to have a relaxing and memorable stay in San Jose Del Cabo. Along with the amazing views of the sea of Cortez, a beautifully manicured landscaped pool area, and walking distance to shopping, markets and restaurants, town square Jose del Cabo is just a ten minute car or taxi ride. Claire has thought of everything. We can not wait to return.

We stayed at this condo for 7 nights and had a wonderful time, it is very spacious, nice furniture, good wifi, and had everything we needed. There were Tommy Bahama Beach chairs and umbrella that we used when we went to the beaches, multiple beach/pool towels, and there is also a nice cooler that you can use. Directly next to the condo is a fantastic restaurant, Mama Mia that had live music nightly and really good food/drinks. There is a Domino's Pizza almost next door as well as a good Sushi Restaurant Fabric on the other side. Near the front of the complex on the street coming in, there is an OXXO convenience store that is nice to have close. The pool area is really nice, comfortable chairs, umbrellas, and very clean. The beach out front is beautiful as well, and the view from the condo and huge balcony is amazing. I highly recommend this condo, the owner is extremely responsive and helpful with feedback and recommendations. My 11 year old daughter and 12 year old nice had an amazing time as well, each bedroom has a Sony LCD TV and firesticks with Netflix accounts and other streaming apps logged in and available, as does the living room. The large table outside is nice to sit at, there is a round lounger that my wife loved to lay on and watch the waves crash in, and there is also a nice cocktail seating area that is comfortable. We also got a couples hour long massage on the balcony and one for my daughter and niece, also highly recommended! Excellent and relaxing vacation, the weather was perfect with highs about 83, lows in the upper 70's, no rain. Many of the owners of the condos were here during this time, which was really nice as well. The grounds and landscaping were very well maintained and beautiful.

The condo was perfect for two couples. Lots of space to relax and enjoy our vacation. The property is incredible...beautiful gardens, lots of pool space and easy access to the beach. Restaurants and grocery stores all walking distance from this lovely property. We would love to come back!

Our family chose Clare’s wonderful condo for a 10 day stay in San Jose with our daughter and teenage grandchildren. My husband and I have stayed in El Zalate many times but this was the first time with family and it was an awesome time! We went into both San Jose and Cabo and saw the sights plus went down the road to Chilean Beach to swim and snorkel. We went to many nice restaurants plus cooked on the BBQ at the condo. The condo grounds are spectacular and very secure and the pool area is fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and when we had a question for Clare she responded almost immediately. We definitely plan to return.

My family of 5 stayed checked into this unit, shortly after Christmas. The owner was easy to work with, and communicated well. The condo was stocked with everything you need to cook a fantastic meal. There is even a large BBQ on the outside patio. The bedrooms are very nice and have a lot of storage. If you enjoy water activities, there are very nice beach chairs an umbrella, and a few water toys, mostly geared to younger kids, and pretty worn out (the toys, not the beach chairs). We rented a car, and the parking space provided by the complex was secure and the guards were friendly. If you don't have a car, and want to walk to the nearby grocery store (La Comer), it is less than 1/2 mile down the road. You can easily walk there, and into the outskirts of San Jose if you want. It was a great location, between the highway and the beach. However, I'm deducting 1 star for this location because of the road noise from nearby highway 1. I just couldn't get over the loud noises from passing trucks and motorcycles as I sat on the beautiful outdoor patio facing the ocean. The only thing I want to hear when I'm staying on the beach is the rumble of the ocean, not the rumble of traffic. Overall, a beautiful property.

Great location! Clean! Safe (gated community with guards). Great pools. Right on the beach. Spectacular views. Condo is very well maintained and is well stocked with everything you'd need. WE'LL BE BACK!

It was a dreamy place and we enjoyed every minute of it. We got there the day after the hurricane and it was a bit messy, but PLEASE BE PATIENT with these folks. It all worked out in the end. It was nicer than the pics showed and the guards were a tremendous help. The language barrier was pretty bad but Google translate took care of that. All in all, it was relaxing and we would stay in the same location.

We stayed here with another couple for 4 nights. The layout was really convenient with the bedrooms being on each end of the unit. Fantastic patio with an amazing view. Easy beach access. We actually did follow the hosts suggestions and used the mobile spa service. We were able to get couples massages on the deck- large enough for all of us to do it at the same time. One of the highlights of our stay. We would also recommend dinner at the local Mexican restaurant just up the street. Was very surprised by both the menu / and the service. Special shout out to Antonio, one of the security guards. Very friendly and informative.

We are a family of 6 and had a great vacation at this property! We rented a car and drove to swimmable beaches and great restaurants (we walked to Mama Mia’s) and into Cabo and San Jose. Then we always felt happy and relaxed to come back to this property each day. The A/C worked perfectly and we loved the sunrises and walks on the beach practically right outside the door. We went to the pool everyday and it was peaceful and clean and the water kept us cooled off. The terrace is beautiful! It was a great stay. Thank you Clare!

Pictures don’t do justice to this condo!! Stunning view and even more amazing to just listen to the ocean waves while relaxing inside! Perfect space for our family/group of 8 (6 kids ages 9-19) for 7 days. Quiet town yet close enough (~20min) to Cabo’s party scene and tourist adventures (<$15 Uber). Great food spots walking distance (Mama Mia, Sardina Cantina, Fabric Sushi Bar) yet condo had everything we needed for home-cooked meals after a quick trip to La Comer/Walmart (beware of those timeshare scouts tho)! Clare was great in communicating and even checked on us when there was an anticipated storm! Her recommendations for transportation, massage, etc were also great. Totally scored on this condo!

The condo and pool area were even better than the pictures. The property manager was a great communicator and very quick to respond and helpful. Condo was well stocked with essentials. The deck view and comfy patio were where we spend a lot of time. Morning coffee walks watching manta rays jump near shore as the sun rose was a great way to start each day. The staff at the condo were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Very central location if you want a tranquil place it cannot be any better. We will be back again and would give 6 stars if we could!! Thank you!

This is a very spacious condo with a fantastic balcony that overlooks the pool and ocean. Note: It is very quiet with no services so if you are looking for music and resort activities you won’t find that here. However if you want a great beach with a quiet pool this is great.

Beautiful property and beautiful condo!

Property is fantastic and gorgeous. We only stayed for a few nights but it was a short drive to Cabo for the activities we did. Pool and beach was close for relaxing.

Property was just as described, if not better! The whole condo was quiet and the pools were so fun. The family had a wonderful stay and we would definitely return.

Clare was quick to respond to questions. The property was clean and well maintained. We loved the luxury bedding. We encountered an issue with starting the grill...you have to use a lighter to start and we assumed it lighted on the left hand side but it was the right and the gas’s rushed out and in a blaze! Instructions would be useful for other people going forward. The beach and pool area are fantastic....we observed two sea turtles laying eggs....beautiful experience.
