My friend and I loved staying here. We wanted somewhere to decompress after driving for 9 days and this funky little pad was perfect. It’s a 1920s private guest house just off the back landing, accessed by steps. It is closer to Venice beach than to Santa Monica pier, with easy walking access to restaurants and the SM farmers market. The downstairs laundry was excellent, the kitchen well set up, and the whole place suited us. Be warned, though, if you are short, the high chairs at the kitchen bench might be a bit awkward. I used the writing desk for meals. T’mimah was a friendly and helpful host. We both liked her a lot. The only downside was some difficulty with parking on the street. When we arrived there was none, so we nosed into the drive overnight (with T’mimah’s permission) but when a spot opened up the next day we ended up with a parking ticket because we didn’t read the instructions on the parking permit closely enough and thus didn’t display it correctly. Don’t make the same mistake!

T’mimah was the perfect hostess. My daughter was immediately in love with the squirrels and Mr. Mo the cat ❤️ T’mimah gave my daughter a bowl of nuts to feed the squirrels and she couldn’t have been happier! This trip was well needed and I feel fortunate to have found this perfect little gem. The neighborhood was nice as were the neighbors and the beach is a 5 minute slow walk down the road. God willing, my family and I will one of these days be returning. Blessings 🙏

Perfect little place for our family. We were out enjoying site seeing all day. This was a perfect location to settle in and rest at night. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Great communication from the host.

We had such a wonderful stay. The place was cute and really nicely furnished, and very cozy during the rain LA was having. The location is fantastic and very laid back neighborhood. The host was wonderful and checked in regularly. I highly recommend this stay!

The beach house had everything we needed. We were a family with 2 children under 10 and we didn’t need a car for anything. We used Uber to get there and were able to walk to everywhere during the 3 day stay. The beach was super close, a liquor store around the corner had the basics like milk, cereal, snacks, and personal items. There was a farmers market a 2 min. Walk away and multiple restaurants. We walked to the pier and it was all very convenient. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

My boys and I felt right at home in this property. It was the perfect location for our trip to visit Universal Studios and Disneyland. The owner was very caring and it shows in the quality of her property. I hope to return someday.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience staying at this beach bungalow. The accommodations were excellent for the two of us (she took the bed and I took the daybed). The gas burning space heater was more than sufficient for the chilly nights we were there. We really liked the decor and style of the place and it is literally one block to walk to the beach. The host was absolutely incredible and very friendly. She took care of everything we needed, including the parking pass for the street. We would definitely stay here again!

Very Clean and convenient to everything !! Host was hands on and always available.. softest high end linens made an extra touch!! Blocks from the best restaurants with great happy hours!! Took Starline tours to see all of LA and Beverly Hills.. 20 minute ride to Mailibu and Route 1 drive along coast..waked to Venice Beach although bike rentals are available.. last night we did sunset on the beach.. just magical!!! Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!!😘

Steps from the beach and great restaurants!

Great spot, walk distancw to everywhere, a few squirrels to great you in the morning, comfy bed and a nice hot shower.

The place was very clean but had a strong smell of must/mold. Also there was no internet signal and our cell phones did not get service inside the home. We had to go outside and down the driveway to get cell service.

Location, Location, Location. Perfect place to stay in Santa Monica. Walking distance to everything you need and want to see. The bungalow is perfect, comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. T'mimah is awesome. Very attentive and responsive.

Adorable and comfortable. T’mimah is a fantastic host. You are just steps from beach one way and Santa Monica restaurants the other. Convenient to Venice Beach as well. We would love to stay here again.

Great place and host was very gracious. We struggled with the whole “must provide drivers license” issue as we are victims of identity theft. In the end it all worked out. We enjoyed our stay and everything was as advertised.

We had the most amazing time in Santa Monica. This place is literally next to the beach and walking distance from so many cool shops. You cannot beat the location. The host was also extremely nice and checked on us a couple of times. We loved it

Adorable bungalow just a block from beach. We parked our car (host provided permit) and walked everywhere. So close to beach and SM Pier and Venice. Host is great and bungalow has all basic things you need. We would definitely return!

The owner goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Beach is so close by, just as described in the listing. Will happily return to this place.

To start, the location couldn’t be better…..minutes to the beach, minutes to Main Street. The small apt itself is rustic, cozy and eclectically decorated …fun! We had everything we needed and our host was lovely.

My husband and I planned a little getaway for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. We found this bungalow to be the perfect location. Just less than a block away from the ocean and a few blocks to nearby shopping and dining. We felt safe and comfortable in and around the bungalow area. It was very clean and our host was most gracious. The vibe was perfect. We would stay here again in the future.

Some will say it needs updating but I think that updating would potentially ruin the funky ambiance

Great location and wonderful host! So much to do within walking distance- food, coffee, beaches! Very safe feeling neighborhood too. Easy walk to Venice beach and Santa Monica pier. Beach cafe 5-10 minutes away. Bike rentals super close. T’mimah was an amazing host - went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. Even rented boogie boards for us since hers were broken. The place was actually larger than we expected and plenty of space for our family of 4. We didn’t spend much time inside so was perfect for our needs. Very comfy beds too. It is a studio style so don’t expect separate rooms. With older kids (10&12) was just fine for us. Definitely would stay again and recco to friends!
