Everything about our stay was phenomenal. Literally, the best VRBO property I have stayed in. Lisa is a gracious host and communication in advance of our stay was great. Location is very good and we loved the fresh eggs and farm animals. All in all, a peaceful and relaxing stay. I’ll stay here again.

Very nice property convenient location peaceful and quiet. There are farm animals to enjoy watching and also local wildlife that can be seen right from the porch. Owners are very nice and we enjoyed talking with them but they won't bother you at all if you prefer just peace and quiet.

With the variety of farm and home animals, the stay is a bit different, in a good way for us. The area for grilling and relaxing is common with the host. As we enjoy spending time with our host, this was fine with us. All was as expected and then some.

This was the perfect stay for us after being in the busy areas of Austin and San Antonio. Lisa and Steve were wonderful hosts: friendly and helpful without being intrusive at all. The goats, chickens, horse, dog Shadow and cat Aggie made us feel so welcome. We stayed in the smaller guest house but had access to the hot tub and deck patio chairs. The location was still close to Alpine and also to Fort Davis, Marfa, Terlingua, and Big Bend National Park. Loved our stay! Thank you.

Had a one-night stay here at the tail-end of a Big Bend trip visiting the McDonald Observatory. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The kitchenette had all the essentials to cook a meal if desired. We found the bed very comfortable. It was fun being greeted by the goats and the horse when we arrived. Everything was as described in the listing and we had a nice chat with the host when we bumped into her while she was feeing the animals. Great quiet place to stay if you are in Alpine for a few days.

We loved our stay here. The space is small, but very comfortable. The view of the goats, chickens and horse was so fun. Feeding them was also fun. The hot tub was great. The fire pit was also great. Lisa had a fire ready for us one night as we returned from Big Bend National Park. It was perfect.

My husband and I stayed on Lisa's property in 2019 in Sierra Vista guesthouse. We had such an amazing stay then!! This year we had the opportunity to come out west again and knew we wanted to stay here. The Sierra Vista guesthouse was booked but Lisa's other amazing guesthouse on site was available so we instantly booked it! On our way Lisa notified us that Sierra Vista guesthouse was going to be available and offered us the upgrade at no extra charge. Super nice of her to offer us that. We of course said yes! The description of Sierra Vista is detailed and exactly as described in the listing. I can't express enough of how well appointed this place is! You feel like you are at a spa/resort retreat in the country. I love getting to see and interact with all the animals on their property...they are a great welcome committee. The private patio right outside the door has an excellent hot tub to relax in and a fire pit w/ firewood to enjoy. We didn't get a chance to use the grill but that is available as well. The bathroom is immaculate and so spacious with a large walk-in shower that is wonderful. The entire space is so well done and the bed is super comfy. Lisa and her husband are superior hosts. They provide a place/experience that is really special, just respect it just as they do. We hope to return in the future!

I could literally live in this guesthouse, I loved it so much. The views were gorgeous, super friendly hosts, and I kind of want chickens and goats now. 10/10 i would stay here again in a heartbeat

Excellent vrbo. Only complaint would be to up grade the bedding and kitchen ware. Otherwise 8.5/10. Hot tub was great!!

It was a pleasure staying here in Alpine. The room was very clean everything worked great and the host was very responsive and kind!

We were very pleased with our stay. We enjoyed sitting and watching the livestock and the night sky, Host was very gracious and made us feel at home. The room was great with all the amenities.

Steve & Lisa were great hosts. The hot tub was perfect after daily hikes. And you had a perfect view of the stars. Very clean & comfortable

Had a great stay and found we had everything we needed in the room. The complimentary eggs were a huge plus as we didn't have much time to buy groceries on our trip. It made if very convenient to get up and go in the morning. Would definitely be willing to stay in the future.

This studio apartment was amazing! Immaculate. Everything you could possibly need, they had for you. A candy dish filled with chocolates. A dozen farm fresh eggs in the fridge. Everything you need in the kitchen to cook and then some. Even beach towels for the hot tub. We loved the animals too! I definitely stay here again!

Calm, serene, and spacious place and surroundings for one or two persons. My friend and I were staying overnight on our way to a photoshoot in Marfa. Fresh eggs and the awesome hosts even gave us a couple dozen to go! What a treat! My only complaint is that we only stayed one night. I will definitely be booking this beautiful peaceful place with breathtaking views again. If you're a writer, you will LOVE this place and the hosts.

Beautiful ranch. It’s about 30 minutes outside marfa. Owner gave lots of privacy. There was a beautiful sunrise and lots of animals.

It was very pleasant and quiet. It was located within 40 miles of where we wanted to go in all directions. The accommodations were set with fresh chicken eggs and clear directions for using all the electrical devices. It was close to Alpine so you could go to town if you needed anything. We traveled to Ft. Davis Observatory and Marfa from this location and it was nice. Will stay again if go that direction in future travels.

It was pretty quiet and enjoyable

Wonderful home away from home. Literally hand crafted beautiful cedar interior. Lasting memory for us will be watching the goats, the horse, and the chickens. And then curtesy of the hosts, fresh eggs from those same chickens. We enjoyed everything!

Lisa was an amazing host. What a fantastic place to stay. We will be back!
