Two large families used this property to explore Helen on Veterans day. Both of the fathers are veterans and our families enjoyed their time there. The children were never bored and we enjoyed a stay that felt more like a home than an inn. Very cozy

We had a great time but thought house was more up to date according to pictures on line. Not as clean as it should be

We had a really b good time .The house was spread out so we were not all on top of each other.It was pretty and well decorated. The loft was not comfortable for teenagers. The problem was with checking in and out check in was 4pm we had to wait until 415 for the gate to be opened . Check out was 10 am the gate was closed at 920 a. That made it difficult to leave . if we were to ever come back to this area we would use this property again

Beautiful property at a prime location near Helen, GA. Off the road surrounded by woods made it well secluded for that get away you need. Huge dwelling with an great game room, enough bedrooms with your own bath room for 3 + couples. You even have your own deck off each bedroom. Loved it and will come back. Thanks

Property is in great location. The house is very spacious. We traveled with a large group and had plenty of room to spread out. Kids loved the pool table area and loft! Would definitely rent this house again!! Very clean...plenty of towels and the kitchen is very well stocked! Very enjoyable stay!!

if i could use all the positive adjectives in the world, i would. but no one would read it, lol. one tiiiiiiiiiny drawback that bears mentioning...all the plants were darn near dead. we watered them all and brought them back, but may want to have someone check every once in awhile because it broke my heart. (or maybe i just have an abnormal heart?)

This is a great, spacious, unique house. There's lots of space and is very well stocked, especially the kitchen. The biggest problem in the winter is the heating systems. After a while, we had the main unit and back wall units figured out. The large pool table/bar area was not heated and would have kept the main living room too cold had we not had a fireplace. We couldn't even shoot pool without gloves! I'm not sure how it works out in the warmer months. Other than that, it was a great quirky home for the weekend!

Everything was perfect! Will be back. We highly recommend staying here.

House was nice, especially for a large family...however, the two beds I tried sleeping on were so hard it was extremely uncomfortable and I got ZERO sleep and actually left a day early. It's really hard to enjoy a vacation with no sleep.

Plenty of room for our large family. Loved the set up of the house. Plenty of bathrooms with plenty of towels and washcloths. Beautiful home, we enjoyed our couple days there.

From check in to check out, the cabin was best ever

Everything was great, except the King size bed was ROCK HARD!!! The lack of a washer and dryer was very inconvenient.

Family of 9 ranging in age from 75 to 8 years old. We all loved the house and the location. Everyone agreed the house was wonderful and enough space for everyone to do any activity during the day or night without noise bothering others and a living room big enough to play our family games at night. The pool table and tv room was great for the kids while the adults played cards at the bar area. Great vacation!!

This is the first time we stayed in a place without a W/D!! The only other things are small ones: oven takes forever to cook, light bulbs burnt out but nothing to prevent us from coming back!!

This rental experience did not disappoint! There was plenty of space for my large family, lots of activities to do such as games and pool table, music CDs available with an awesome selection, extras and details all included. The abundance of bathrooms made our stay extra comfortable, as well as plenty of towels and supplies. The fire pit was pleasant and enjoyable and felt sturdy. The kitchen was well stocked with any tools we would need for cooking. They thought of everything!!

First the good - the house is well stocked for anything you may need. The furniture is fairly comfortable (although my son and his wife said the bed in the Prince Charles room was as nice as sleeping on rocks) and there was ample seating for our family of 9. The game room/bar area was a fantastic place to be on a rainy night. The house was secluded and quiet, a great place for a family get away. Watching/listening to the wildlife from the numerous porches, was a great way to relax. The kitchen (as was true of the rest of the house), has an “old time” feel and look, wish the weather had been conducive to using the wood burning stove. Now for the not so good - the pictures in the listing, do not reflect the condition of the house. The house is obviously an older house and the smell upon entry is indicative of that age. The weather would have been perfect for opening the windows, but the numbers of spiders/bugs between the windows/screens (on the windows that had screens) made that not possible. It was fairly obvious that the windows and screens had not been cleaned in some time as well as a need for other repairs on the decks and other exterior areas. There is an exit door to one of the many porches from the Royal Albert room, that has a deadbolt with a key that does not function (the cylinder turns, but the bolt doesn’t move), preventing access to that porch and creating a lack of egress in case of an emergency. The shower caddy in the Royal Albert bathroom was quite rusty, another indication of the repair needed in the house. All of the bathrooms had only showers, so those with small children (as we had) have trouble giving baths. One bathroom had a door for the toilet, but no door for the shower/sink. Another bathroom had no door at all, only the bedroom door. The kitchen cabinets are dated and out of place with the modern counter and sink that was placed on top of the old counter/cabinets. In summary, while we had a great time as a family, for the price per night we paid, I would have expected a house in much better condition and/or pictures that reflected the actual condition of the house.

We needed a place for multiple families while our children played in the state golf tournament. There are plenty of rooms, bathrooms, and extra spaces to make this the perfect place for us. Thank you!

Wish we could have stayed longer

We were all wowed by this property. The pics didn't do it justice. The rooms seems to go on forever with additions upon additions and private porches off every room. It enabled our large family to have separate areas to go to times have fun and yet have our "own space" so we didn't get on each others nerves. We actually all wished we could duplicate the house for ourselves as it is a perfect house for extended family. The grounds and firepit, azaleas, and magnolia were charming. Coffee on the porches while the teens enjoyed the TV room on with extensive dvd selection, pool table, and made constant use of the chess table and CD player with a varied CD collection. For those who like to cook, the kitchen is small, but the house's other amenities make up for it. We WILL be back--our family has declared this "our" house for Helen vacations. Only a few miles if easy road to Helen and Unicoi. Great stay!!!

We loved the house. It was perfect for the adults to get away from the kids and it had all we could ever ask for

Beautiful in it's day , just needs deep cleaning and yardwork. But we did enjoy our stay as a family just needing time together.
