It was a great place for family to come together from CT, MO, NY and Canada. It was a little more rustic than anticipated. But clean, organized and well stocked with basics. A very friendly host. A valuable item was left behind and Paul drove all the way back from a family event so it could be retrieved before flying out the next day. Above and beyond. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time at this location and the host was very nice. Nice home with plenty of room to spread out.

We stayed in this area a few years ago on a property also available by Paul. We love the huge if the area and being on the water. We didn’t do too much but that was the whole intent of our getaway. Our dogs loved the property and trying to catch the bunny resident. They also loved the dock to check out the water activities. The house was comfortable and we didn’t want for anything.

The property was as described. The added game room was a pleasant surprise. Although the house is old it was very clean and well taken care of. I wish we had more time so we could have rented a boat to spend time on the water. I would definitely rent again.

Three couples gathered for a little getaway. The house is small but very comfortable with a great patio for relaxing and another lovely fire pit area by the water. Beds were super comfy, and all the linens and towels (including beach towels) were of excellent quality. We enjoyed dropping in paddle boards and exploring the beauty right out the front door:)

Great house for a family gathering. Lots of different outdoorr spaces to hang out -- alone, in pairs, or all together. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook and prepare even the most elaborate meals. Games galore.
And a wonderfully helpful and communicative owner.

This was our first Vrbo experience and it was even better than we had anticipated. It was in a lovely, quiet neighborhood with quick access to so many sites in the area, including Mystic Seaport. The house was well appointed with excellent cookware and endless hot water. We enjoyed our time around the dinner table and the picnic table on the back porch. The host was always attentive to our questions. To quote my 90-year-old father-in-law, "I've had many great experiences in my life, but this was the best." Many thanks to everyone involved.

This property was absolutely lovely! We stayed off season and enjoyed the deck, fire pit, and dock. Beds are super comfortable, house was clean and kitchen was well stocked with everything we’d need for a seafood feast. Paul was responsive, friendly and helpful in every way.

We enjoyed our stay at the house but we thought the house was overpriced, but perhaps, due to the location on the water, the rental price was competitive for the area. The yard and waterfront is lovely, particularly the seating area and chiminea by the water. The decks are nice too, as is the annex with the ping pong and football. For the price, the bathrooms, particularly the downstairs one, need improvement in terms of how they look and cleanliness of the shower, particularly the tile grout. Good location but there is road noise as it is right on a highway.

The property and home were beautiful! The large dining room table was perfect for family dinners. Our stay was too short! Hope to stay again in the future 😊

Planned 5-6 things a day in loops location, & added & subtracted as we saw fit. Getting a taste of Seafood a must FORD'S Lobster Shack; the Lobster Bomb a must try, but pricy. We could not fit everything in, in one week. Blue Crab fishing off dock was a blast, all enjoyed. Just catch & release for us. Couple things we hit were: Tapped Apple Cidery; Gellotto next to Apple;Gillette Castle State Park; Yankee Cider; Fox Farm Brewery; The Dinosaur Place; Walk through Mystic Town, Took Picture at Mystic Pizza; Julia Roberts first movie was; Also check out Sift Bakery; Went to Mass. to see Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock; & Historical places, then Rhode Island Clif Walk, needed a Brewery on way back; Force Library Submarine Base; Old Mystic Village, shopping; Restauraunts some we stopped at; Ford's; Breakwater; Sea Swirl - pickup; The Mariner; Plus you have to see the Bascule Bridge in action. Also, lots of Ice Cream Shops around. Some things were closed we were looking to see. Hartford, Soldier & Sailors Memorial was cool with other stops added. All this & more, did NOT seem, we were pushed to get all of this in. Owners Property tied to Marina, up the street for free rentals & 50% off Power boats. Property, if you have infants maybe bring a gate or two; Clean; Pergola; Game room; Dockside Firepit; Grill, Crab Traps, we did NOT need,& caught 20 min. Couple window AC units, & vent rest with fans. Full Kitchen; Washer & Dryer, GREAT TIME was had.

We had a great few days enjoying this magical waterfront home. Charming vintage craftsman style home. Paul and his team were most responsive to our every question and concern. Would love to return.

Terrific place and great location! The host has thought of everything for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend this rental. Just something to be aware of, while cottage has the capacity to sleep 10 at 10, it's a snug fit.

Lovely summer cottage on a quiet cove, the perfect spot for fishing, kayaking, or watching others do so with a drink in your hand. Great yard for kids to play, special game room in its own outbuilding, Adirondack chairs and a fire pit at the water. The beds were comfy, and the house was cozy. Loved it.

My family had a wonderful time staying in this charming house over the winter holiday break. Small in square footage but felt very spacious for our group of 4. Paul was very welcoming and quick to resolve an unexpected issue with internet access. Convenient to Stonington Boro, Mystic, and Westerly. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay and as always a great time. The location is close to downtown, restaurants, wineries, and of course the water. We fish every day via kayaks. The house has great character and high quality linens. The fireplace is wonderful! The kitchen has everything you need. Mattresses are very comfortable. We will be staying again next year.

I had a perfect vacation. I was able to spend 3 weeks enjoying my family and friends in the town I grew up. The house was perfect. Close to the best restaurants and beaches, quiet setting on the cove with a perfect view of two nesting eagles. The house was equipped with all that one would need and Paul checked in to make sure all was going well. I had such a great time, I already have my trip booked for next summer.

Great accommodations. Large yard excellent for children to play.
Kayaks and discount on boat rentals added to the fun. Careful swimming, my granddaughter got stung by a jellyfish the 1st day, so the kayaks and boat were very much needed!

Well-appointed Craftsman-style cottage on idyllic cove
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with friends in a very comfortable cottage just steps from the water. Kayaking was available just three doors down, the kitchen was equipped with quality cookware and appliances for eating in. We were just a few minutes drive from all our favorite places between RI and Mystic. Paul was easy to reach for any questions. The beds were firm and comfortable. And there were more towels than one could possibly need. We would go back.

Perfect Fit!
A perfect fit for our family going to a wedding at the Saltwater Creek Winery. Loved the historic read of the home, enjoyed the dock for coffee and wine even though it was November, found the drawer refrigerators fascinating! we even tried to catch some blue crabs - no luck. :(. Only disappointment was the game room - even with new batteries couldn't get it to work. We'd love to come back in the summer and try out the kayaks/canoes and beaches!

Tons of character
Perfect retreat for a family wedding weekend. Location was great. Easy and scenic trips to Stonington, Mystic and Watch Hill Rhode Island. We had 7 adults and a toddler and had plenty of room. Love the character and charm of the home. Unfortunately, due to the short weekend trip, we were unable to really enjoy the waterfront, separate game /tv room and all it had to offer. The host was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely visit again!

Great location and access to harbor.
Great stay for the price. Loved the house. The location is great and access to water easy. It is on a main road; road noise in early morning in master bedroom may bother some people. Owner was easy to contact and very fast with resolving issues.
We would absolutely rent this property again

Relaxing and wonderful stay
Such a relaxing stay. The house is large and the property is gorgeous. I loved the double decker back porch, patio with pergola and the expansive yard leading to the river. I spent a lot of time in the yard, sitting by the water. The location is perfect, about 8 mins from downtown Mystic and about 15 mins from Watch Hill Beach in RI. My dad loved the history of the house. Paul was a great host and was very communicative leading up to the stay.

A cottage with soul
So many rentals are sterile and reflect the latest trends from HGTV. This cottage is classic with an arts & crafts vibe, beautiful woodwork, stained glass windows, and all of the nooks and crannies you'd expect in an older home. We had a lovely week here. We did not rent a boat but can see why it's perfect for those who have or want to rent a boat (convenient, private, large dock!). The yard is HUGE and private. Access to the house is really easy, with lots of good parking and extra parking on the street. It was hot and sticky outside, but the ACs and fans provided by the owner were perfect. We spent most of the week on the beach in Watch Hill since it was too hot to really hang outside or go walk around the towns. However, the living room fireplace looks cozy and the sunroom is probably fantastic when there's a chill in the air. The kitchen is well equipped and there's a nice and spacious pantry to store your groceries. The one thing to note is that the refrigerators upstairs are 2 draws + a beverage fridge and separate ice maker. There's a regular fridge just a few steps away in the clean basement. It was a bit tough keeping those fridges organized with the food of a few families, but it's not a big deal if you plan and organize accordingly. You wont' find a better host and property manager. Any minor issue we had was solved immediately. Highly recommend!

Great location close to everything
The pictures of this place are deceiving. This home has so many sets of stairs. The bedrooms are upstairs, the second bathroom is off the kitchen which is down three steps and the kitchen freezer/refrigerator is in the basement. You felt like all you did was go up and down stairs all day. Faucet in kitchen leaked, kitchen oven was loaded with grease, missing forks and cobwebs everywhere. I blame the cleaning service and no one is checking on them. The owner had everything fixed or replaced, but it was an disruption of my vacation. On the positive side the beds where very comfortable and very clean, the boat dock was perfect and the washer and dryer were very nice also. The kitchen had many pots and pans and the bar refrigerator/and two small drawer refrigerators which were nice for keeping immediate things such as milk ,orange juice ,coffee etc. Access to kayaks was a bonus.
The kids had fun at the dock fishing and catching crabs.

Perfect New England Vacation
We had such a great stay here, Paul was a great host. We rented a boat from his Marina, the boating in the area was perfect. Three of us worked from home (video calls and all) several days so internet was great and the beds were so comfortable. We spent 12 nights here and we were still not ready to go home. We loved visiting the vineyard down the street, ate at amazing restaurants in Stonington, Mystic, and Rhode Island, roasted marshmallows at the fire pit and spent time on the tree swing over looking the water. It was the perfect New England summer vacation, I hope we can return!

Clean, Quaint, Comfortable, and Crabby!
A Sears kit home from 1918, the house itself was just so lovely! The modern windows and doors—sensitive to the home's original design yet so high-quality—were perfect for enjoying morning and evening breezes! The lovely yard with historic fruit trees, the table under the pergola, and of course the main attraction, the dock (a particular thrill for land lubbers like us) were all amazing! The home was perfectly clean; the quality linens, towels, and beds are super comfortable, and thoughtful additions like luggage racks and (often multiple) fans in every room really make the stay posh! (And speaking of posh, the kitchen was better equipped than our own!) Paul was really helpful during ALL phases of booking, and we even got to yell a hello to him from the dock, as he boated by! Being land lubbers, crabbing was new to us but (with some helpful tips from Paul) became the main entertainment of our vacation! And yes, we did get to enjoy eating blue crabs one night (although a novice number of them)! Stonington and Mystic offered great take-out dining options, and we loved our visits to Saltwater Farm Vineyard and the Stonington Farmers Market! We also enjoyed kayaking (borrowed from the marina two doors down), canoeing, and the fire pit (would have loved to have spent a few more days)! And finally, it is always SO very appreciated when we can bring our dog! Thank you for the wonderful vacation!

Beautiful Cottage on the Water
We had an amazing STAYcation in Stonington. The cottage had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked appliance and cookware wise. There was a washer and dryer and a game house for the kids. The rooms were set up with trundle beds and air conditioners. Fans were also available although we didn’t need them. The yard was impeccable. The kids spent the days crabbing and kayaking. We used the outdoor fire area to make s’mores. We grilled almost every night. The only down side was the kids couldn’t really jump off the dock and take a dip in the water. There were quite a few jellyfish the week we went! But that really didn’t stop us from having an amazing time. We did head to Napa Tree Beach and Stonington Burrough, which was a very short ride. The cottage is on a main road but you wouldn’t know it. It was very secluded and oh so relaxing!!!
